Violet POV
'Boring..' I'm still sitting out here with one hand on with my head on it and the other stroking my tail... it helps calm me down when I'm nervous which right now I'm very nervous... sitting alone outside in the dark at the entrance to a slave market, anyone would get nervous I bet even Mr Naofumi would .. oh who am I kidding Mr Naofumi wouldn't be scared or nervous, I'm just pathe-
"Violet get up, we're going" (Mr Naofumi)
I start to stand up and dust myself off and as I look up I see someone ? Following behind him ... did he really buy a slave. She's a girl about the same height as me maybe just a litte shorter if we're counting ears talking about ears she's a demi-human just like me but the difference being she's a Raccoon..I think ? I'm not very good with my animals which aren't like Cow, Pig, chicken, dog, cat you know the ones you learn in nursery, I digress the thing which stands out the most to me about her is 1 she's wearing a sack and a chain is around her neck but mos tof all her eyes look dead inside, it makes your wonder just what has she been through. Since we're both demi-humans ill try get along with her even if she's a slave, I know for a fact Mr Naofumi won't mistreat her he's been kind to me even letting me join his party.
"Emmm... Mr Naofumi ? Who is this ?" I say as I turn my head up to him while walking next to the new girl
"Hn ? Well this is Raphtalia." (Mr Naofumi) he doesn't even look back he just keeps walking "Come on Raphtalia, introduce yourself"
"...hel..hello... my na..me is raph...talia" (Raphtalia) she just keeps looking like a walking corpse
"Eh yeah, hello Raphtalia? My name is Violet. I hope we get along... now Mr Naofumi can we go to sleep, my legs are getting sleepy." I know this is me acting like a 6 year old but I'm desperate
"Yeah, let's head to an Inn." (Mr Naofumi)
We head to the cheapest Inn he can find and Mr Naofumi intimidates the person at the desk to give us 2 rooms, we headed to the rooms
"Violet, you will be sharing a room with Raphtalia." (Mr Naofumi) After saying this he throws me our room key and unlocks the door to his room and closes it behind him leaving me and Raphtalia to go In our room.
"Well then Raphtalia let's get a move on, I'm beat." I jump on the bed and usher her in "Come in. Come in. I don't bite. Mr Naofumi said we will be sleeping together" I sit up and pat besides me on the bed
Raphtalia slowly comes over and sits right on the edge of the bed still looking down
'What's with her ? I'm trying to be friendly
I'm to tired to try anymore, I'm going to sleep'
I start to pick up the thin cover and sit under it making sure to leave enough for Raphtalia to be fully covered if she chooses to sleep
"Raphtalia, before I go to sleep i recommend you sleeping it'll be a busy day tomorrow and I don't want to be the reason you don't get sleep" I then start to get comfy and close my eyes thinking of the happy times with my Mum and Dad helping me fall asleep.

Time skip (Next Morning)
"Hnn.." I open my eyes and begun to stretch so happy that I got a better sleep compared to my normal branch bed
I turn to check if Raphtalia got any sleep.
'Seeing her like this is cute but still makes me sad for some reason... I'll go check on Mr Naofumi' as soon as I start to walk to the door it opens and there stands Mr Naofumi looking fully awake
"Hn. Good morning Mr Naofumi, did you sleep well ?" I say still half asleep
"I guess it was alright. Say how Is Raphtalia?" (Mr Naofumi) he hasn't looked at me but instead is staring at Raphtalias sleeping state
"Hm ? I have no idea all I know is that when I went to sleep she was still awake and when I woke up she was asleep on the other side of the bed" I start to comb my fingers through my bed head then put on my armour then cloak
"Why don't you get her up and meet me outside" (Mr Naofumi) he then turns and starts to walk outside the room and downstairs
"*mutters* I guess. *whispers* hey *shakes* Raphtalia *shakes* time to wake up" I walk back after shaking her a little twice
"Hm" (Raphtalia) she starts to sit up and opens her eyes
"Good morning, sleepy head~" I smile at her "Mr Naofumi is waiting outside for us, let's get going" I turn around and hear her walking over to me. We head outside and see Mr Naofumi
"Where are we going, Mr Naofumi?"
"Erhards." (Mr Naofumi) We then walk in the direction of Erhards. I'm guessing its to get Raphtalia some stuff to fight with.
'Its to early to do this much walking... my feet hurt'
*ding*
"Welcome. Well if it isn't shield bro. Wheres the little Fox?" (Erhard)
I walk out and into view of Erhard "*yawn* good morning, Erhard." Damn Im to sleepy
"Hm? Who's the new one ?" (Erhard) He nods in the direction of Raphtalia
"She's Raphtalia, show me the weapons you have that are around 6 silver coins' worth. If you've got some clothes on clearance I'll want to take a look at them too" (Mr Naofumi) he says while putting a hand on her shoulder and pushing her in front of us.
He looks a little taken aback when he sees the slave crest on her chest "... kid ... yea I've got some, ill go leave them in the chaging room" (Erhard) He walks off to a side room and comes back carrying the stuff that fits Mr Naofumis specifications and places it in a changing room
"Alright, Violet you go and help her get changed" (Mr naofumi)
"Do I really have to, she's a capable girl im sure" I was busy looking around the blacksmith I couldn't be asked helping her
"Just go and help her." (Mr Naofumi)
"Eh... fine" I reluctantly give in and grab her hand and walk her inside the changing room
"Alright so take that sack off, it may be a little hard with the chain around your neck but we'll get around it"
She lifts the sack off and just stares at her slave crest then walks over to the stuff to put it on.
"If you need help just ask me" I sit down next to the clothes she isn't wearing yet,
She did need help getting the clothes on over the chains so i helped then I did take a while but we got it
I look up and see her finished "...finished" (Raphtalia)
"Hm.. suits you" we begin to walk back and I open the door and let her walk first
"Finished ? You two sure took your time." (Mr Naofumi)
"I-i apologise" (Raphtalia)
"Mr Naofumi, do you have any idea how hard it is to put this over a chain. Obviously it'll take a while."
"Well, whatever... raphtalia, take out your knife." (Mr Naofumi) he pulls back his Cape a bit and we see an orange balloon latched onto his side "try killing this thing"
'Why the hell does he keep something like that latched onto him... wouldn't it hurt ?'
This scares her "Huh?! A monster !" (Raphtalia)
"Relax. It's attached to me, just stab it" (Mr Naofumi)
"N-No... I don't want to" (Raphtalia)
"That's an order. If you don't obey me..." (Mr Naofumi) once he says this then the mark on Raphtalia starts to glow and shoot lightning which causes immense pain to her
"GAH !" (Raphtalia) she begins to draw her sword
"... it'll only bring you pain" (Mr Naofumi)
"Mr Naofumi... isnt this a bit to much ...? This is just cruel !"
He just ignores me while Raphtalia keeps feeling the immense pain. I grit my teeth in Annoyance
'Mr Naofumi, he must be doing this for good I'm sure. But I still don't like this at all.'
"That's to weak. Put your back into it !" (Mr Naofumi) Raphtalia pulls back and runs to stab it even harder
"HAAA" (Raphtalia) she thrusts it as hard as she can putting her whole weight behind it
"Huh ? I got exp as well ?" (Mr Naofumi)
"When you made the slave contract, you set her as a fellow companion, didn't you ?" (Erhard)
I'll just stay quite I know nothing about slave contracts and it doesn't effect me in anyway.
"Did you not have it like that with that with the red haired girl, or the little Fox?" (Erhard ) He turns his eyes to me
"Hm ? What's a fellow companion?" I slightly tilt my head and strike a thinking pose
"Let's see then." (Mr Naofumi) he then pulls back the otherside of his cloak and shows one more, I Stab it killing it instantly "it seems you are also fellow companion" (Mr Naofumi)
I guess that means he got exp for me killing it, I also got some I think
"Hey, listen up ! From now on you'll help Violet fight against the monsters, in return I'll protect you" (Mr Naofumi) this brings tears to her eyes "I've paid for the stuff with what money I finally managed to get. Until you manage to pay that off, don't die. We're going." (Mr Naofumi)
'I knew he was doing it for a reason. I still don't agree with his methods.' I follow behind him but Raphtalia is still there in shock
"What're you doing ?! Hurry it up !" (Mr Naofumi)
I turn around to see her smiling as she sheaths her sword and runs to us "y-yes ! Coming !" (Raphtalia) this puts a smile on my face
'She's alot cuter when she smiles. I hope to see it more often'
