10 My Fair Lady

I woke up alarmed! Panicking, I quickly flailed around frantically trying to get out of my blanket as fast as possible because I smelled smoke. Lynn wasn't in our tent! So I dove out of the tent, tripping on the edge that comes up, and looked arround for the fire. I was an absolute mess covered in drool and dirt from tripping. Stupid me, I forgot we were at a camp site. Lynn, Emmett, and Mom busted up laughing at what they just witnessed. Lynn drying her tears from laughing so hard, tried to ask me if I was hungry. Before she could finish, my stomach started to growl really loud. I walked to the table, while dusting myself off. After Emmett was done cooking, we ate together as an awkward family for the first time. Mostly in silence, I looked at the food. Never has an egg tasted so good in my life. I was so grateful that it wasn't peanut butter sandwiches.

When I was finished eating, I thanked them. Emmett took our plates to clean, and Lynn picked out clothes for me to change into after we showered. She helped dry my little hair, and even helped me zip up the dress she picked out for me. Now I'm not the most girliest girl out there, but she sure made me try. Honestly if it wasn't for my facial features, and dainty body frame, I'd look like a little boy in a medium length ball gown thanks to James. The dress she had picked out for me was a deep indigo, with Violet trimming and lots of ruffles. My Grandmother Evie handmade each one with the fabric my sister and brother bought for me. I was never short on dresses you could say.

After getting all cleaned up and dressed like a weirdo, I was told by Lynn, "go on a adventure again". Which I'm pretty sure was code for "you probably shouldn't be around just in case we fight". This super cute little old couple spotted me right away, probably because I looked odd. I mean was picking up the trash around the campground in a knee length ball gown, because I don't like seeing litter everywhere, and I'm not the kind to leave it there after I've seen it. They asked me where my family was, and I told them what lot number we were in, as politely as I could. They both thanked me, and made their way in the direction of my family. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong, or maybe offended them some how, or it was something completely different. I shook my head to clear my thoughts.

Just as I was about to pick up another piece of trash, Anthony showed up. He was running as fast as his legs could carry him, yelling my name about three or four times. He blushed beat red when he cought up to me, as if he had met me again for the first time. Jokingly he bowed to me, and said, "My fair lady Rose, what are we doing today"? I curtsied back, giggling and said, "Lord Anthony, I am picking up rubbish that the bovine left behind". He smiled again and said, "my grandparents are going to adore you. How about I help you finish up here, and then we can go play"? I murmured back, "play"? He looked confused, like I had just said something ridiculously stupid. "Have you ever played before? or had friends to play with?" he asked awkwardly. I just shook my head. He said, "let's hurry up then, we'll have a wonderful day together" with a big smile on his face.

About three hours of picking up, we got it all done and cleaned up. I was so happy that I accidentally hugged Anthony. We both turned beat red, and laughed awkwardly as I apologised for the sudden surprise hug. A few moments of silence had passed, so he took my hand and walked me towards the river.
