1 Prologue

"These are... Happy tears."

Alice sighed, "No darling, those are conflicted tears. You don't know who to save. So... I won't make you choose"

"Grandma? Grandma what are you doing!? Grandma no!" She tried to stop her from taking off the one thing that was keeping her alive.

"Nurse! Nurse! Help!!!"

"Now listen to me sweetheart." Grandma Alice wheezed.

"I've lived way past my time...

You... Need to let me go... And find someone who can make you truly happy and... Always be there for you just... Like your grandpa Joe" she gave a weak smile and squeezed her hand as her strength began to fade away.

Her breathing stopped and her hand went limp with that loving smile forever pasted on her now cold face.

Doctors and nurses rushed in but everything was just a slow and silent blur to Emily as she couldn't take her eyes off of her grandma.
