7 Chapter 7

Golden Dawn is a Magician organization that was founded by William Robert Woodman, William Wynn Westcott, and MacGregor Mathers.

The last one also becomes Sirzechs' bishop at some point in the past.

Golden Dawn deals in modern magic. It is one of the most famous Magician organizations, but it is relatively new as an organization.

Also, it happens to be my first choice because I know a future villain is going to be here and I find the abilities of Alpecca Tyrant quite bullshit like how I found the DxD story arcs after Trihexa was sealed.

On the other hand, Golden Dawn gives me a chance to meet Le Fay. I have to keep up my appearances and take her as my disciple no matter what.

I am not really concerned about how much knowledge I can find in this organization because by the time I am finished here I should have something similar to Ajuka's Kankara Formula and I should be able to make my own Magic System.

It also helps that I have access to imagination based magic and all I need to do to convert it to human magic is just look at it.

The entrance for any of the magic organizations requires testing to see if you're worth having around but I have two letters of recommendation one from Morgan and the other is from Tiamat.

Tiamat was rather grumpy that she lost to me in 'war' but the smile she had while writing the letter suggests she is just being tsundere.

Or she is trolling me and wrote something outrageous in that letter, we will see.

Anyway, I am overqualified to enter this organization but whatever. Le Fay learned everything she knows from here and that even includes Norse Magic even Black Magic, so I will be just peachy here.

"It is an honor to have you here sir but I must ask, why choose us? I believe Grauzauberer would have better resources." The examiner asks rightfully so.

Why bother with someplace new while there are better options?

"Nahh, choosing so-called the best and popular organization is too mainstream. Also, their connections to Devils and Fallens are more extensive than Golden Dawn which is a major turn off for me." I wave his concerns off making the poor guy relax.

I honestly don't know if I should be happy or not due to being recognized right away.

I didn't even have to introduce myself, the moment I entered the place I was given a pretty servant to follow me around and serve me.

I send her to buy some snacks... Wait it's 2005-2006 they don't make sourpatch just yet shit!

Luckily I got her communication address, I should call her back...

"Sir, I am afraid I couldn't find these Jellybeans you asked from me please forgive me!" The servant girl came into the room I can see that she's out of breath as she frantically apologized.

Damn, now I feel bad.

"No need to apologize, I forgot that it's not being produced yet I should be the one to apologize." I quickly got her up.

I also noticed a small shock going through in the eyes of my examiner but it works for me.

While it was accidental it does set up my Clairvoyance act pretty nicely. I don't care if they believe it or not, I just need the excuse.

...

My papers were quickly processed. It didn't even take an hour before I was in a workshop under my name.

Geez giving me all this stuff, now I would feel guilty if I don't contribute to something.

I don't even know half the stuff in the room, that can be rectified right away.

Leaving the workshop I made my way to the library, now how should I go around doing this without frying my head.

<Brain freeze> I feel my thoughts slow down as the magic circle cools my head.

<Book Trace>Before being too late I use an enhanced version of Structural Grasp. It is like Tracing of Emiya but this one targets books in an entire room.

The whole library is downloaded to my head as I start to heat up, thankfully before I cook myself the second spell finishes scanning.

"Sir? What was that?" My pretty servant asks on the side she seemed quite shocked.

"Extreme reading Angelica, come on I have over a million books to go through." I chuckle at her dumbfounded expression and walk back to my workshop.

"What!?" Ahh, I am going to enjoy breaking her common sense. I should help her out as compensation though.

...

No matter how you look at it, shoving all that knowledge to my skull wasn't the best option I had but it was the fastest.

I was going to make a spell to process the books but my migraine shot up after that stunt so I decided to read up on <Mind Magic: Mental Booster> first before messing with it.

This is actually entertaining to read, it shows how you can shove magical energy into the right parts of your brain and spirit to speed up your mental faculties.

There are of course many versions of it some are faster and meant to be used for short amounts of time before it hurts you, some are more stable, they're generally used and left like that to give passive boosts and some was labeled as suicidal by the Magicians Council because of high mortality rate.

My stunt falls under the suicidal category by the way...

I spent a month working on a personalized Mind Spell that will merge all three aspects of mental boost spells.

On the other hand, I am helping Angelica with her projects and help her out whenever she gets stuck on something.

Teaching with headpats has been enjoyable for me and Angelica has yet to complain about it.

Human magic is more about the knowledge than the actual magical energy you boast, sure total energy you have is important as well but it is like having rocket fuel for a steam engine train.

Knowledge and power must be balanced like everything in the universe.

In the end, I just love being able to teach with heavy head patting, it turns Angelica into putty.

...

At the end of my first month here I finally had my Mental Spell <Multi Thread Acceleration: Overclock Series V1.032> ready.

Ahh, Minato sensei would be proud...

It is actually a pretty stable spell despite its horrendous name, with my current mental capabilities I can work on three background processes and speed them up to %25 without any harm to myself.

I can just boost my main process up to %100 but that shuts down the background processes, I can refine the spell even further once I finish reading up the rest of the library.

I apparently need a more durable body to handle more and enhancing my body with magic doesn't count.

Those three processes are currently going through the books from the library while I myself am going through any books I can find on Senjutsu.

There were some books about it in the library that had information on it but there are no manuals I can try out.

"Lord Merlin, I am leaving for my tests for today, do you require anything?" My maid? asks politely.

"Thank you, Angelica, I do not require anything at the moment. Good luck!" I reply.

I put my notebook down once she leaves and move towards the machine I have built.

I don't use this with Angelica around since it has a chance of explosion upon use, I can take it but Angelica can't.

I don't want my pretty maid to get hurt because her master was reckless.

She actually looks like Angelica Ainsworth from Fate: Oath Under Snow but with more emotions so I may have a soft spot for her.

Going back to the machine, it looks pretty unstable since it has duck tapes all over it but this is the best I could come up with in the limited time I have.

This is a basic energy refiner, you put fire attributed magical energy into it, then it spats out non attributed magical energy, etc.

Grabbing the input handle I shove my entire reserve into it and watch it work as the machine destroys my magical energy into 'nothing'.

"Soon..." I caress the 'empty' output tank, if anyone were to see my face right now there would be a lot of questions.
