67 Choice (2)

Chun Maora stayed in the prison feeling vexed. She could not accept this end. How can she, a noble woman, fall into the trap of another woman like this? With this, her reputation was destroyed and she couldn't live the same life as before.

She didn't want to remain in this prison. There must be a way out. Looking at the dark chamber and the poor condition of the prison, Chun Maora knew that she didn't want this end.

Suddenly, she heard someone coming. When she looked up, she found the person who once loved her very much was standing there.

Chun Masaya.

"Maora…" Chun Masaya called out softly.

"Big Brother!" Chun Maora clung to the iron bars hoping to get close with him. "You must help me, Big Brother! I didn't do it! Someone is framing me."

Chun Masaya stood in front of her, unmoving. His gaze fixed upon the woman, his sister whom he loves very much. He was dreaming of meeting her for a long time, but he never got the chance until today.

"Open the door, I want to get in."

The guard complied and unlocked the door. Chun Masaya strode in to Chun Maora's side and hugged her. Feeling the warmth from Chun Masaya, Chun Maora cried in his embrace.

"Big Brother, help me."

"Maora, do you know that I love you?"

Chun Maora was momentarily stunned, and then she hurriedly nodded. She already knew that and she had been using the feelings her brother had for her to gain an influential husband. Even if it meant destroying another girl's life, she would not hesitate to do so just to get a good life.

"If you do, why are you using me?"

"Big Brother must know that it is impossible," Chun Maora answered. She was disgusted by the feelings her brother had for her, but decided to use it for her benefit. With that kind of feeling he had towards her, she would be able to use her brother to gain what she wanted. "Your sister wants to have a good life, so I asked for your help."

"I see." Chun Masaya's heart sunk upon hearing her sister's words.

"So can you get me out of here?"

Chun Masaya looked down. He did love her long ago but that feeling has faded away with time. He was deeply hurt by the fact that she knew about his feelings, but preferred to use him instead. He was still a man with pride. Even if he did want to save her in account that she was his sister, he didn't want to lose what he has. He refused to be used as a pawn even in a game that his sister was playing.

"No, the proofs are all showing that you're the one who did it."

"But I really didn't do it! You have to believe me brother," Chun Maora was desperate. In fact, Concubine Sie's death really had nothing to with her. It was someone else who wanted to trap her.

Chun Masaya looked at his sister. "I know that."

"Then? Can you help me?"

"I can't."

"Why?" There was a hint of helplessness and disbelief in her voice.

Chun Masaya didn't answer. He stood up and walked out the cell leaving Chun Maora who was still crying. No matter how loud Chun Maora called for him, he never looked back.

"It's over," Chun Maora realized that her life from then on would never be the same. She had to live within this dark prison with many other prisoners. What had she done wrong in her scheme? Everything should have gone perfectly as planned.

Chun Masaya returned home. He saw his wife standing behind the window quietly. He walked up to her and the woman was startled.

"Masaya? Didn't you go to see your sister?"

Chun Masaya nodded. "I have met her and put an end to that. There is nothing I could do for her anymore."

Chun Masaya's wife stood unbelieving. Chun Masaya held her into his arm. He had never given this woman what she deserved all these years. Now that he had sorted out his feelings, he decided to devote his all for his wife. She should have been the one to receive them all this years.

"I won't leave you and our children from now on."

She cried in happiness. Her wish had finally started to come true.

Lin Family Residence

Lin Tang was not able to calm down any longer. Losing his wife, he kept himself busy with his job and refused to meet with his daughter and other wives. The atmosphere was gloomy and the servants were all worried about making even the slightest sound. They were afraid that once they do, they would incur the wrath of Lin Tang unto them.

Lin San stayed by her room. The few past events have changed her completely. She was no longer the previous innocent and arrogant girl. She didn't even bother to visit her father as she remained by her room quietly.

"Miss… it's time to eat."

Lin San raised her small head. Her eyes were filled with anger and hatred. She too could not accept this change so quickly. She was previously the most pampered girl but now she didn't even have anything. The one who held the highest authority was Concubine Mia because of her pregnancy. At that moment, she didn't dare to do anything reckless. However, once Lin Tang's anger decreased Concubine Mia would definitely make Lin San's life miserable.

Lin San no longer thought about it. She knew that the quicker she reached 15, the quicker she would be married away. Because of her status as the main wife's daughter, she was deemed as the legitimate daughter and was supposed to have a high status husband. But with her current reputation, how would she expect to have a good marriage prospect?

"There's only one year at most," Lin San murmured. In one year, she would graduate from the academy but she would reach 15 at around the middle of her third year. Probably she would be married away by then but she was no longer feeling anxious.

"Miss?" The servant pulled her out of her stupor.

"If I cannot get a good backing, I will strive to get it by myself," Lin San said. Her eyes were filled with determination. She didn't want to lose this battle.

"Just wait and see. I won't be defeated just like this!"

Jun Hua was reading her book while listening to the report from Yasha. The decision of Chun Masaya was to continue living with his wife and protect what he has. He realized that his sister never saw him the way he did, so he chose to give up and just cherish what he had.

"Miss, why are you being so soft hearted?" Xia didn't understand why her Miss let them go and didn't make their life completely miserable.

Jun Hua raised her head. "The person who drove my mother away was Chun Maora. I do hate her, but I would not personally send her to her doom. She was the one who carved herself this path and this is her retribution."

"Then, what about the others?"

"What about them? Well, I won't intervene with their lives and let them choose their own path," Jun Hua answered. "But if they want to use me or my family, I would surely retaliate."

"So, you're only defending?" Xia asked.

"Even without me personally doing anything, they already have their enemies who will gladly drag them down. I'm not interested in ruining other people's lives. What I want is for my family to flourish," Jun Hua answered lightly. She was not that sick to celebrate when people are meeting their misfortune.

If that person had wronged her and her family, she would certainly seek for compensation but not to the point where she would be destroying their lives. The exception was always there, for people who made her life miserable. They should have expected her to do the same with their lives. If they took something or someone important in her life, she would surely find ways to make them pay for that debt.

Jun Hua yawned. She was tired from watching and following those people. Now that she had managed to enact part of her revenge, she felt her burden lighten a little. As for their lives from now on, she was not that diligent to closely watch them and scheme against them. For her, this degree was enough.

Of course, it didn't mean everything was over. There were still several people left awaiting her wrath.
