6 Chapter 4: Responsibility

Three days two nights, that was how long the man stayed unconscious. His condition always switch from hot fever and cold fever, making Bai Hua as his warm blanket each time he was suffering from the coldness.

The birds chirped early in the morning. The ray of the sun shone through the window, lighting up the small place. The man's eyes flickered in an attempt to open his eyes, and slowly revealing his pair of phoenix like eyes and the bottomless obsidian orbs. His face was engraved with coldness,overpowering the cold fever he was inflicted with, his eyes moved in confusion. Suddenly his coldness disappeared, replaced by the sudden surge of rage from within his body when he finally noticed that a girl was by his side. Her thick eye lashes, alike to a beautiful fan resting on her delicate skin. He previously wanted to toss the girl out but he stopped when he remembered and assessed his situation.

He abruptly sat down as heat rushed to his cheeks. Both of his ears were tinted in red. As if the cold man previously was not the same person. He had some memories about the situation as he was out and in of consciousness. He felt ashamed when he almost killed his saviour. He looked at the girl again, only yo be shocked to find her body only covered in thin inner robe, that was barely hiding anything from his field of sight.

Her long white leg, thin waist and two delicate bunnies on her chest. She had a voluptuous bunnies. Due to her laying sideway, they were pressed together, making to attractive valley.

Droplets of blood fell onto the blanket. Blood came out from the man's nose while his face was beet red. Never in his 20 something life that he ever felt something like this. It might due to his weakened state or his still hazy mind but he was acting unlike his disciplined self. Even the obscene pictures in his limited edition books that he had read secretly couldn't compare to the view he was facing now.

At this moment, Bai Hua opened her eyes and her eyelashes fanned her healthy reddish cheeks. She furrowed her brows as she realized that the man was not lying by her side. She moved her head and saw the man staring at her with blood flowing down from his nose with a heated face.

'Oh well...'

She secretly laughed watching him. She couldn't help herself to tease this man as his reaction was unexpectedly cute. She sat up and looked at the man deep in the eyes. Her movement made she looked more alluring

"Done staring?" Her sweet voice was really pleasing to the ears. The man snapped out from his daza and his mouth moved but no words came out. He want to speak but didn't know what to say.

'This is too embarrassing!

Bai Hua smiled and laid back down on the bed very nonchalantly despite the way she was dressed. " You better sleep, you haven't healed completely yet."

She clicked her tongue and started to drift to slumber. She could felt her body temperature was slightly high. ' Look like this body is far weaker than in her previous life.'

The man looked at her flabbergasted. 'She can fall asleep in this kind of situation? '

He remember that he was attacked in a mission and was ambushed when he was escaping though the escape route. When he thought about it again, it seemed that the mission was already bound to fail even before it started. It was a plan to arrange his death. He should feel suspicious toward this girl but he knew that it was this girl that had trying very hard to help him as he still had the memories of this girl when he was conscious for a short moment. He felt warmth. Moreover, somehow, he felt a little bit at ease around her and he also didn't feel disgusted by her, he might felt rage at first but it was gone immediately. It was the first time someone helped him without any ulterior motive...

' She was the one who had saved me...'

The man looked at the girl and titled his head slightly with a rarely bloomed small smile. When he heard a soft even breathing, he realized that the girl had already fallen asleep. He laid down next to her and looked at her slightly red face. It appeared that she look sick, was it because of him? The man asked himself. He knew his condition very well and he had sustained serious injuries that even he had accepted his own death. He was hanging by a thin thread. But somehow, this girl had managed to tend to his wounds and saved him. Even though his wounds might be able to be treated, but he surely know that the fever that would be assaulting afterward might took his life.

He took a deep breath and circulated his qi to check the condition of his body. Indeed, his wound was treated. His eyes snapped open when he detected poison in his body. ' Snow Fire Poison' this poison was really dangerous as it would burn the victim with iced cold fire from within, only death await the victim as there was still no known cure of this poison. He closed his eyes and thought to himself, ' I will be responsible for her and make her mine. It is the first time for me not to feel repulsed by a girl and it was quite comfortable to be by her side.'
