5 Chapter 3: Responsible for me

Bai Hua cleaned the blood off the man's face using a rug and the water from the river. Now, the face that belonged to the man could be seen clearly by her. Unfortunately, there was a sword wound that trailed down from his eyebrow to the side of his right eyes. It was a terrifying looking wound and only millimeters away from his right eye.

' It will surely left a scar later.' Bai Hua thought as she saw how deep the wound was.

She averted her gaze away from the wound and traced his other facial features with her eyes. She was actually quite shocked to see the man face resembling someone she had previously known. He had the same handsome face as the stranger that once left a deep impression in her from her previous life.

His handsome feature was unfathomably perfect, according to her. Slightly healthy bronze colored skin and slightly pink lips that was pale from the blood lost. Sharp and thick brows. He looked heaven defyingly handsome.

She wondered how would his eyes look underneath his eyelids.

Afterward, Bai Hua cleaned the man's body with full precaution in order to avoid straining any of his wound left. His perfectly sculptured, lean and masculine body made Bai Hua to unconsciously blushed. Even though, the was from the modern era but she was simply a young and pure maiden and would still blushed seeing a drool-worthy body of a man. Dang, honestly she had catched her friend's rotten illness. "Haha," she laughed and wondered the condition of her dear friend and her brother currently. She hoped that they were well.

After she had done cleaning and disinfected the wounds the best as she could. She started a debriment to the wounds. Indeed, it had almost healed due to her power but it still need a careful treatment as she didn't fully healed him due to the fact that it would be very disadvantageous for her own health. Afterward, she ripped up her own inner clothes from the closet to make bandages for him to dress his wound.

' It's going to be hard to survive in the winder', she thought as she saw how little clothes she owned.

While bandaging the man, she realized that her abilities was actually really useful in this era. Unfortunately, she couldn't use her own power to cure or heal herself and it would only make her body weaken, the more her power was used. It was basically a life for a life, you see. It could shorten her lifespan.

Based on the bruises and the wounds on his body, Bai Hus suspected that his internal organs might had been affected too. Moreover, the skin at the end of the man's fingers was also grey, while the blood appeared to be black. He showed the symptom of being poisoned. His face was crunched up in pain. It appeared that the poison and the internal injuries was acting up against each other.

Bai Hua put a wet towel on the man's forehead as he was burning hot with fever. She ran into the kitchen and grabbed a small knife that she found. She also brought a bowl of water and a spoon.Using the knife in her hand she cut the front of her palm and let her bloods dripped into the bowl of water, the she stirred it with the spoon to make the blood dissolved completely in the water. Bai Hua brought the spoon to the man's mouth to feed him.

Her blood was special, just like how she was able to heal the man's external injuries, her blood was able to treat internal injuries and cure poisons upon consumption.

She tried to feed him but it was in vain as the water would only flow out from the edge of his mouth. This made her eyes to twitch. "Oh come one! I only wants to help you. Drink up!"

She sound like a crazy woman talking to an unconscious injured man. Whens he realized that it was useless to continue this method, she sighed and drunk the medicine herself but she didn't swallowed it. She let it pool in her mouth. Bai Hua brought her lips closer toward the man's lips and kissed him. With her tongue, she used it to part his lips and entered his mouth and let the water to pour down her tongue. She repeated it for 3 time until the "medicine" was finished.

'His lips tasted great and soft... what and why did she thought like that?!' Bai HUa was dismayed by herself.

Her cheeks was already painted red because of this. She had gave her kisses to the man. Moreover, he was a stranger and unconscious. She felt like she had took advantages on the man. A small smikle curved at the corner of her lips. The man looked more in ease now, so she didn't need to worry for the time being. She knew that it's going to be a long night, hence it was better to save enough energy to fight her laziness. Then a lazy yawn escaped from her lips, today she had consumed quite a lot of energy. It made her body felt weaker and heavier.

She fell asleep sitting with her hands underneath her head at the bedside of the bed, even though it was not comfortable but at least she could take care of the man if anything bound to happen.

At night,

The man's face crunched up in pain as sweats rolled down his face. His whole body was trembling as his breath rate quicken. At a glance, one could tell, the amount of pain he felt couldn't be underestimated. Bai Hua slowly opened her eyes when she felt movements coming fromt he man and saw the expression on the man's face. His condition looked really bad.

She put her pam on his forehead and could instantly felt his body burning hotter than before.

' This is terrible, he is having a high fever. His body's temperature had decreased before, so why would it suddenly accelerate now?'

Bai Hua glanced at the man and in all honesty, she didn't know what to do anymore. She could only think to put a wet rug on his forehead and to wipe the man's body with water, in hope that his temperature would decrease.

Apparently, it didn't do much to help with his condition and his temperature was rising at a steady speed. Bai Hua bite onto her palm and pinched the man's jaw to open his mouth. Bringing her lips closer, she let the blood in her mouth to slip into the man's mouth. His adam apple bobbed up and down, as an act of swallowing.

She wipe the corner of her mouth and sat down again. She played with the blanket and wait for the 'medicine' to work. Even though her blood was 'magical' because it could treat and cure internal injuries and poisoning but it could only be healed completely if consumed daily according to how serious the state of their injuries were. The worst someone's injuries was, the longer the time it needed for them to be healed completely.

Somehow, the man's temperature suddenly dropped drastically and his skin was cold as ice. His body was practically a block of ice and could be made into ice-cream already. Bai Hua might not understood his current condition but she suspected that it was because the poison in his body was triggered and started to act up. Despite consuming her blood, it seemed that the poison hadn't subsided, instead it acted against it and rapidly attacking his body.

Bai HUa sighed. She knew really well how her blood worked, thus she was sure that her blood would successfully counter the poison. The only problem was, it needed more time as the poison in his body was really powerful.

The man shivered.

"Cold..." the word escaped through the man's lips. Bai Hua looked around her and took her other robes to add onto the blanket that was covering the man. She tucked him in, trying fully tio cover his big build. Yet, it was merely a pathetic attempt in an attempt to help the man. It only helped a little on his condition. Furthermore, due to his big build which was more than a head taller than her's, her clothes couldn't ever cover the man fully, only the thin blanket managed to cover him. She needed to warm him up more but she was out of cloth to use. His condition would worsen if she didn't do more.

She massaged her forehead with her hand and sighed.

'Look like I don't have any other option.'

She touched the belt of her robe and slowly started to remove her clothing. A human body optimal temperature was 37 decree celsius. A direct contact between bodies would be able to help the man's body to reach the thermal equilibrium with her body.

One by one her clothes fell onto the floor and she was left nothing to cover her fair body except for the really thin inner wear and the dodou that didn't even helped much in covering her body. She could even be regraded as naked due to the level of see-through her clothes' condition was, hey but it was better than nothing.

She entered the pile of cloths and laid very close to the man. The clothes on the floor was already added onto the pile. She placed her cheek on the man's chest and hugged him close but carefully not putting pressure on his injuries. Bai Hua shivered when their skin made contact, she felt like hugging a piece of ice and it was not pleasant. Bai Hua was slowly transferring her body's warmth to the man. It would work even better if their body fully made direct contact but it would do for now.

Bai Hua's cheeks reddened. Who wouldn't if they were placed in this sort of situation. She smiled slightly, she was too lazy to continue thinking about the other things and started to fall asleep next to him. She thought to herself that she needed to wake up before the man tomorrow.

"You need to be responsible for me now." She muttered under her breath. To be honest, she didn't have much complaint about helping this man as he was the first person she met in this unknown place. It was not only because this man was her type... yeah...
