2 TO THE CAPITAL
Chapter:two: To the capital
After retrieving all the bodies I Hades along with the other members of Flock went to the city council and ask for the burial rights for the bodies. They were super surprised like they are supposed to be and request to dig deeper, okay but imagine their surprise when 15 Archeologist turns up dead and one unknown man.
It was going to turn real bloody until the mayor step in saying that we are legit Adventures and the death thirteen card was real. Him knowing what the card means aside we were finally freed and I didn't need to initiate plan: genocide.
" let their souls return to the red daughter and let their bodies be consumed by the black son." Kneeling before his co-workers' graves and praying to a strange deity I've never heard of before.
"It's a religion of a lost civilization they were here approximately two hundred years ago, they believed in the All-Father and Blessed Mother who rules over all things and their children who watch over mortal concepts." Two hundred years ago that means it's likely the Futam Empire is still surrounded by other countries and the Gucci kingdom hasn't taken over this place yet.
"I know it's weird praying to the gods of dead religion but this town hasn't had any of their own since the lost civilization, especially with the no religion but our religion policy of the Gucci kingdom." He then laughs remembering a distant memory and says to me.
"I remember a time when we promised to make our own religion and went on a parade around the city the mayor almost had a heart attack." He then stares at me and nods, it time to get going.
"Welcome to the Flock this our little adventuring group I am Hades a diamond rank adventurer also I specialize in bodyguard work, next the one wearing the mask is called Warmonger she's a gold rank adventurer who specializes in assassination essentially a hitman, next is the big dude he's called Hammerhand he's also a gold rank adventurer he specializes in smuggling and finally the beauty over there is called Princess she is a gold rank like everyone else and she specializes in information gathering theirs five more of us but three are out of the country two are in the capital one's undercover."
After uniquely greeting each other we move onto the technical side of any group.
"There are five rules that must be followed no matter what #1: no taking any job that goes against any member of the group #2: no betrayal of any kind #3: any request of another member should be paid back #4: no looking into a group members real identity if your found snooping around you will be kicked from the group and #5 we are family."I say to the dead eye La puppeteer who looks on in disbelief.
"Yes that's rule #5 it's the vaguest but the most important," I say smiling at him and he responds with a dry laugh, hopefully, he got the meaning.
"Introduction over, our current objective is meet up with our source in the capital to and finally regroup at our secondary base, unfortunately, the Capital is very fragile right now and teleporting there with my powers risky. So will be taking the bus so a week worth of travel is ahead." Princess says while showing different locations on her computer screen.
"Afterwards we will infiltrate the main castle and begin our job with my client that's where your abilities come in." I say pointing towards la puppeteer.
"Me, I'm not very good with my powers so it might cause problems for you guys." He says but everyone simply smiles because his teacher will be me.
"So why are we outside again?" Your already aware if keep telling it won't change whether or not your going to practice.
"The first thing I need to to do is activate your powers." I say taking off my black robe and throwing it on the ground.
"Alright then ( puppet show)." Out of nowhere, a doll dressed in knight armour with a shield and lance appears.
"This is called a Codex a physical manifestation of one's self and ideas, yours is what called an Earth-type due to you lacking full control over it and it doesn't change your physical attributes( black bones)."Out of nowhere, eight black boney arms sprung from the back.
"I'm a heaven type even though I have full control of my Codex unlike yours my Codex is unable to interact with me so my if I'm directly attacked I'm screwed."
"Now we move onto physical practice but first I've heard that you have the power to heal can you show me?" La puppeteer sighs then say.
"I can only summon one doll per day." Oh, that's quite troublesome then well let's see what we can work with.
"So what's this dolls current ability." I ask touching the doll with one of the black bone arms.
"It is called charge as long as it has enough energy from moving around it will deliver an energy strike proportion to the energy he has built up." He says with a disappointing look.
That's interesting that could be useful in certain situations.
" Then let me see it."
Now the mood has changed because la puppeteer has put on his game face and his doll running around in circles. I smile then charge at him without warning probably shocked he releases an energy blast at me.
Due to not building up enough energy it only scratches one of the black arms I used another one to knock him across the field.
"Don't just stand there and expect me to allow you to charge up your ability it's time to learn two ancient fighting techniques: dodging and running away." I say with an evil smile on my face.
"Ten minutes that's how long it takes for you to build up enough energy to destroy one of my black arms." I say staring at the black arm that's slowly Regenerating.
"For now that ability won't be that useful to us training is over for today." I say to the tired and exhausted la puppeteer.
"Sorry I am weak, even though I possess a power envied by the entire town I'm too weak to protect anyone." He says while crying.
"If you lack the power to protect does around yourself doesn't make you weak, not trying to fix the problem does." I say walking off leaving la puppeteer shocked.
