50 Shye vs Ember Tiger

The ember tiger stared menacingly at Shye. It was evidently enraged and seeing that this puny human dared to stand in its way, the ember tiger felt even more furious.

It knew that it had somehow stumbled into an area where it could become an undisputed king so it didn't respect Shye's strength at all.

The ember tiger eagerly pounced towards Shye who easily dodged the tiger's predictable attack.

Due to his recent experiences against feline-type creatures such as the gale leopard and the red-spotted jaguar, Shye already knew that the ember tiger's first attack would be a straightforward pounce.

Not only does this show that the tiger did not think of him as a threat, it even thinks of him as a prey.

However, little did it know that Shye's abilities were already way beyond the apex creatures of the beginner adventurer zone.

If Shye wanted to, he could even fight against ten apex creatures at the same time and still win.

Unfortunately, this ember tiger wasn't aware of that and so, its first attack was easily dodged by Shye and he was even able to inflict a fairly deep horizontal wound on the right side of the tiger's body.

*ROAR*

It roared in pain after getting slashed, however, a few moments later, Shye's eyes widened as he saw that the ember tiger's wound ignited and although the wound didn't close, it stopped bleeding immediately.

"Tch! What an annoying ability"

He was caught off guard by the ember tiger's swipe attack after being distracted by the tiger's unique ability.

Fortunately, he managed to raise his Nightbringer greatsword in time to defend against the tiger's attack.

However, the tiger was physically stronger than him so he was blasted away by the paw swipe attack.

"Aghh…Shit…That hurt…Seems like I have to end this quick or I'll be in trouble…"

Shye muttered to himself. He resolutely looked straight at the ember tiger's eyes before taking the initiative to attack.

*ROAR*

The ember tiger roared in fury upon seeing that the human took the initiative to attack and so, it also charged towards Shye.

One man and one tiger faced each other in a frontal clash. The tiger looked elated after its paw successfully smashed the puny human to the ground.

However, the tiger was then shocked to see that the human was still alive. Shye used his skill [Stoic Lv.1] to successfully tank the tiger's attack before using [Dash Lv.1] to suddenly appear below the tiger's neck.

Then, he used [Power Slash Lv.2] to slice the tiger's head clean off. 

The tiger didn't even notice that it had already died as its headless body suddenly collapsed to the ground with a loud thud.

"Haaahh…Haaahh…That tiger was pretty strong…" Shye muttered to himself as he sat down to rest.

[Congratulations, Your vitality attribute went up from 24 >> 25]

He was pleasantly surprised upon seeing his vitality attribute improve, he thought that it must be due to him tanking the tiger's blow with [Stoic Lv.1]

After resting for a few minutes, Shye excitedly stood up to butcher the tiger's body and harvest the sellable parts.

However, just as he was about to start skinning the ember tiger, he suddenly heard three guys laughing behind him.

"Well, well, well, Crowley, we were hoping that the tiger could accomplish the deed for us but who knew that you would be hard to kill like a cockroach?"

"We didn't want to do the deed ourselves but you left us with no choice!"

Shye's eyes narrowed as he immediately recognized Leonardo Regulus' voice. His eyes narrowed even more upon seeing that Theoden and Eusford were also present.

No matter how kind his heart was, he would be stupid if he still didn't notice the evil intentions of these three after everything they said.

It seems that they were here to dispose of him and luring the ember tiger towards their location was also due to these three.

Shye clenched his fists and gnashed his teeth in anger upon realizing how black-hearted people can be. 

He immediately stared daggers at the three of them as he stood up and assumed his battle stance.

"You three better be sure that you want to do this, if you start attacking me there's no going back."

Shye gave the three of them a warning. However, the three simply laughed at his words as they started to circle him like thugs while holding their weapons.

"Oh don't worry Crowley, we are very sure about this. If only you acknowledged your place beneath us, then this wouldn't have happened."

Shye scoffed upon hearing how petty their reason was. His anger rose to its peak and the last bits of his kindness towards these three immediately disappeared.

"Alright then, since you guys are so sure, then let's end this once and for all."
