Shye's eyes widened after hearing that Ren was from the famous Order of the Black Sword.

Not only did he not expect an invite from an adventurer society this early, but he also didn't expect to get an invite from the 4th-ranked society.

Getting into a society in the top 10 was good enough for him so this invite was really a blessing for him.

Although he believed that he would get accepted into one of the top 5 societies after the tournament, he didn't expect that a society would be willing to bet on his strength this early on just to secure him.

Shye was touched after hearing Ren's sincerity in inviting him. He also had a good impression of this senior of his so he was leaning towards accepting the invitation.

However, Shye decided to ask some things first before accepting the invitation.

"I'm honored to be invited by such a distinguished adventurer society but I'm just curious, the tournament isn't over yet and it wouldn't be too late for you guys to invite me after the tournament so why have you decided to invite me this early?"

Ren smiled after hearing Shye's question. It seems like this guy isn't someone who was easily blinded by fame and status.

"Ahh…Actually, you're wrong when you say that it wouldn't be too late to invite you after the tournament. With your strength, there will be loads of societies who will invite you after seeing your true strength."

"Thus, we have decided to trust our instincts and invite you early on to show you our sincerity."

After hearing Ren Beckmann's answer, Shye smiled widely because he appreciated this kind of straightforward answer the most.

He also knew that the top twenty adventurer societies can only pick one of the top twenty freshmen so most of them usually decide to wait until the end of the tournament before sending invites.

"Thank you for such an honest answer, Senior Ren! I gladly accept the invitation of the Order of the Black Sword!"

"Great! A truly great decision!"

Ren Beckmann repeatedly nodded in happiness and satisfaction after managing to snatch Shye under the noses of many top-tier adventurer societies.

He foolishly grinned as he imagined the face of his best friend from another society after learning that they were too late and that Shye Crowley had already been obtained by the Order of the Black Sword.

"Hehe…Senior Ren, the Pink Unicorn Society offered me some stuff in exchange for joining them so I was just wondering…"

Ren Beckmann snapped back to reality after hearing Shye's words. He then laughed heartily as he was amused by Shye's straightforwardness.

"Hahahahaha! I truly made the right decision to recruit you! Of course, we will give you far more stuff than what those Pink Unicorn guys can ever provide! Do you want me to list all of it down right now?"

This time, it was Shye's turn to smile widely.

"No, No, No! There's no need to! I trust Senior Ren. You can just tell me once I drop by the society headquarters."

"Alright then! I'll wait for you to drop by!"

Shye and Ren went their own separate ways with smiles on their faces. 

They both knew that once a student had already chosen an adventurer society, it would be his adventurer society until he graduates from the academy.

This is also the reason why Ren planned to spare no resources and groom Shye to take over the society in the future.

Just as Shye was about to leave the area…

"Crowley!"

He heard Ren Beckmann's voice behind him so he turned his head to look.

"Hmm? Senior Ren? Did you forget something?"

"Actually, yeah. Here, take this badge."

Shye looked at the badge that he received from Ren.

"Oh? This is…The Order of the Black Sword's badge?"

Ren Beckmann craftily smiled and said 

"Yes, I want you to wear it tomorrow on stage!"
