"It's Done"

'Okay! That finally worked' Barry thought, getting back on his feet, enjoying the feeling of new power coursing through his body. He wasn't a fool to think this state would last a long time though. He had to try as much as possible to finish this fight quickly.

"Finally getting serious, aye?" Zoom said, his body pulsating with even more energy than before. "Let's get it started then!"

They both sped off towards one another, one filled with murderous intent , the other, with a playful smile. They clashed, the impact, cracking the ground beneath, knocking back everything nearby.

Barry pushed his arms to the side and grabbed him by the scruff of his neck, flinging him upwards into the ceiling. He jumped upwards to meet him, swinging a fist encased in lightning towards his abdomen.

Crossing his hands, Zoom blocked it and sent a bolt of lightning towards Barry while he leaped backwards using the knockback, collecting himself before making his next move.

"Now, this is something new." Zoom grinned, his eyes shining an eerie blue through his mask.

He was about to run his mouth for the 999th time when Barry suddenly disappeared from his field of view and reappeared at his side, fist coated in lightning, determined to make this one count.

Shocked and caught off guard by the quick and continuous rise in strength, Zolomon was only able to lean backwards to reduce the force of impact of the attack.

*BOOM*

An explosion rang out upon impact. The lightning charred away parts of Zoom's suit, as well as his flesh, causing a devastating amount of damage to him,

'Looks like I severely underestimated this one.' he thought as he clutched his side, wincing in pain.

Although his body would naturally heal, this kind of injury is not one that would show any signs of recovery soon.

Barry rushed in again, this time employing normal hand to hand combat, seemingly, that technique was too tasking for him to repeatedly used at this level.

As he got within Zoom's range, his eyes shone a blue glow... which didn't last for too long as Barry's fist knocked the lights out of him... literally.

"Temporal manipulation." Barry said as he grabbed Zoom by the neck. "That's your trump card, isn't it?"

"It was foolish of you to send a time remnant to test me. Were you hoping that I'd learn some of your skills so I can be a more "challenging" opponent"

"Well, how'd you like me now?!"

He continued to stay on the offensive, sending out waves after waves of attacks, giving Zoom no time to catch his breath.

Grabbing Zoom by the head, he planted his knee into his face and went for a kick to the side of his head.

Reacting in time for this one, he grabbed Barry's leg and sent two punches to his upper thigh before swinging him into a wall by his side. Barry phased immediately, passing through the wall, right before smashing it into pieces as he reached for Zoom with golden claws at his fingertips.

Leaning back, Zoom barely dodged the swipe, grabbing his wrist as he did, smashing an elbow into Barry's sides before throwing him over his head. 

Reacting quickly and turning in mid-air, Barry grabbed his legs and dug his claws into his achilles. The claws were coated in lightning, dealing extra damage sizzling his flesh.

Zoom phased immediately, falling to the ground after, the damage had already been done. He tried standing up, but staggered. The battle already seemed to be over.

Barry got up, his eyes were no longer glowing. He was huffing and panting, that skill really took a heavy toll on his body. He climbed on top of Zoom and delivered blow after blow until he passed out.

"Barry? Barry?", Caitlin's scared voice rang in his ears.

"It's done." He said weakly, getting up before dragging Zoom by his leg towards them as they ran towards him. Watching Barry weakly make his way towards them, Caitlin couldn't help but feel bitter in her throat as her eyes got slightly moist.
