6 Chapter 6

Alex began his walk out of yet another boring class. Alex had begun elementary school a few years back. And next would be junior high. As he walked the hallway with bustling kids everywhere he spotted Barry walking to the cafeteria with a black haired light brown skinned girl.

This maybe a bit forward but any idiot who's watched the flash could guess that he was walking with Irsi West. So they finally met thought Alex. As silently walked behind the duo. As he listened in on their conversation.

As Alex listened he marveled at the obvious chemistry between the two as they went back and forth.

Alex began to think these two were truly fated for each other. Was it like a rule in the book of heaven or something. Or perhaps they were drawn together by chemical pheromones produced by their own Bodies? Alex soon went into a whirlpool of theories on love and the science behind it. He so engrossed that he had failed to notice that Barry and Iris had stopped talking when he bumped into them and were now staring at him.

"Alex! Hello Alex! ALEX!!" Alex left his stupor after the third shout with a surprised look on his face. "Oh hey Barry, what's up?"

Barry just looked at him with an exasperated look of defeat. "You were totally spaced out again dude." Alex chuckled at this as he rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry man" he then diverted his attention to Iris who silently stood in bewilderment at Alex. "Oh hi I'm Alex as you must have heard, Barry's older twin" Alex then extended his hand for a handshake. Iris reciprocated in kind by shaking his hand "Iris West, nice to meet you"

She then started looking back and forth between Barry and Alex. "How come you guys are so different" Alex understood what she meant by saying this. While Alex and Barry still had identical features their style of dress and style had differed. Alex had spent more time in the son so was a little tanned and was about foot taller then Barry due to his constant exercise and strict diet at the gym. He had cut his hair around the sides into a fade but kept a healthy size combed over to one side. He had on black jeans, red sneakers and a white tee with a red jacket over it. While kept his hair basically wild and free with a slight fringe floating over his eyebrows. He wore slightly baggy blue jeans , a comic book t-shirt, black sneakers and a grey hoodie.

Alex answered her question with a smile "Different activities, now what were you guys talking about?" as Alex initiated the conversation once more they began to walk to the cafeteria for lunch.

Alex found out alot about Iris that the show had seemed to gloss over. They soon became fast friends as they discussed their interests and likes and dislikes. They discussed their parents occupations and even started planning activities they could do together outside of school.

The twins eventually met Joe and Iris the Allen's. After going to each other's house so often it became obvious that Iris and Barry had developed crushes on each other although neither would admit it. Even the parents saw it plain as day. However due to Alex's busy schedule he couldn't spend as much with them as he wanted but whenever he was there he'd try to push Barry to make a move alas Barry was denser then concrete.

As mundane days of school continued to pass what seemed to be the inevitable soon happened. As Alex left class he came about Barry on the floor with Tony Woodward and his goons standing over him laughing. Alex quickly sped up and got beside Barry. "You ok bro?"

"Yeah I'm fine" After checking on Barry Alex stood up when he saw Iris running to sit by Barry's side and looked at Tony and his goons.

"You guys really are a bunch of cowards. Ganging up on one guy. Real tough guys huh?!" Alex snarled in disgust. Tony and goons immediately stopped laughing. "What'd you just say to me you pipsquek" as he said this he began to move in on Alex staring down with his goons behind him.

"I said what I said" said Alex as looked Tony dead in the eye. Tony didn't wait for anything more as he immediately swung at Alex. Alex simply leaned back, grabbed his arm and swung him head first into his goons. They fell down like bowling pins and crashed into the lockers.

The commotion alerted the nearby teachers and they stormed out of their classrooms. "What on earth is going on here" Alex proceeded to explain what happened with Iris confirming everything. After being admonished by the teacher for violence and disrupting school they were let off with a warning. But due to the twins being model student the teachers thought a call to the parents would also be prudent.

As soon as Alex and Barry got home Henry and Nora asked what happened. After explaining the whole situation they got thumbs up from Henry for standing together against bullies without the use of excessive violence. But they were still sent to their rooms early for not going to report the incident to the teachers as soon as it happened.

Alex and Barry went upstairs to their separate rooms. Alex had gotten his own room once his parents realised he would just keep bringing home more 'junk'. Not to mentions Barry's own complaints. As Alex lay there on his bed looking up at the ceiling he turned his head to the calender 18 March 2000. Today would be a sleepless night.....
