"Why are we drinking t this time of the night?" Ashton asked Adam.

"I thought of spending time with my best friend," he replied him.

"Okay spill it. What is bothering you?" he inquired understanding his friend's condition. The air became quiet with Adam staying quiet.

"Have you ever loved someone so much that you are willing to ignore all the signs just to be with them?" he asked him.

"One, I am confused about what we are talking so why don't you explain."

Adam played with his glass of wine thinking about what to say to his friend, he needed his advice on what to do but it also hurt his pride to admit that a girl he liked didn't like him back.

"Do you remember Chloe?" he asked him.

"Which Chloe?"

"You know, the high school nerd who used to compete with me for number one," he said to him.

"Yes, what about her. I thought we talking about Nicole," he said confused why he was being dragged down memory lane for someone he never so much as shared a greeting with.
