It was a dimly lit chamber, in which Regan discovered herself. As she opened her eyes, an encompassing darkness greeted her. Blinking repeatedly, she sought confirmation that she had truly awakened. She opened her eyes again but this time, saw a faint glow of pink or purple coming from a weird window.Regan shifted from her place and felt a blanket, to realize she was in bed, but.... this wasn't her bed. Neither it was the room.Fear started to spread all over her, add up the fact that she wasn't remember anything. She closed her eyes shut to remember how did she come here."God, what it this place?" she said to herself. She shoved the blanket away not caring to look at it, it was too dark to notice anything. She sprinted to the dark pink light which was coming from a curtain. She moved the curtain to the side, the material was made of velvet. The room got illuminated slightly better. As for the window, it was large, arched, an isolated one, covered with rombus patterns. But Regan didn't see that. The shock spread through her as she saw the sky. It was purple, red....it was unbelievable. She couldn't trust her eyes. Red sky? Purple sky?"This... this isn't real." Regan said to herself backing away. She remembered that sky from somewhere.Beyond the windows, tall trees obscured the view. So all she could see were the dark green trees and the purple-red sky.She turned around to see at the room and was amazed. She could see better now, her eyes adjusted. And the light from the window was helping now.Regan realized that wasn't a normal room, that was a chamber.Everything in it looked expensive and royal. The bed where she was in, was large, queen sized, adorned with pillows. The blankets were silky, light blue with patterns of flowers. The floor was made of dark, shiny wood. The rugs were of the same color as the bed's blankets. They were covered with intricate and elegant motifs. The curtain was also light blue. So, the main theme was blue. She glanced around to see the walls were adorned with crown mold in grey and blue. There were oil lamps on them, although they weren't lightened. She looked up at the ceiling to see a chandelier hanging from there. It was made of crystals, reflecting the light from the window.Regan was bewildered. What the hell was she doing here? This looked like some royal's room. Was she in a dream? On her left, there was a tall double door that she hurriedly tried to open, but it was locked. Due to her numerous tries, she got more panicked realizing she was trapped in whatever that place was."Open the door!" she yelled, banging loudly. She turned again to the window and the same sky was visible, scaring her even more. Why was the sky like that?"Open. The. Door!" Regan yelled again and tears escaped her eyes. She couldn't remember anything about how she got here. "My phone...." she mumbled and searched through the pockets and around, but her phone was nowhere. She walked in the other side of the room, devastated and sat on the floor crying. Was she kidnapped now? She felt weak, stupid and tried hard to remember. It was like her memories were trapped behind a door and she couldn't find the key."I want to get out of here," she muttered, her voice barely audible. She felt so desperate, so helpless. She covered her face with her hands, tears staining her cheeks. She stayed like that for a while, glancing around the room. The other side was still dark. Even the side that was illuminated, although in light blue colors, still held that dark, gothic edge.Suddenly, the door cracked and Regan flinched, her heartbeats quickening. It opened slowly, making a rusty, raspy sound, letting a faint light come in from the hallway. Regan quickly rose on her feet, her tears drying. She took a few steps forward but then backed away swiftly when a silhouette of a man appeared. Her breath hitched, she gulped, her throat hurt. The shadow started to come closer, its footsteps echoing through the undeniable silence. It was a man holding a lantern. He was covered in a dark cloak. His eyes were visible and Regan shivered when she looked at them. They were icy blue.As he stepped closer, the light fell on his cloak but he remained unknown. He kept staring at her through his icy eyes, his gaze cold and unyielding.Panic rose over Regan as she quickly took a hold of a bedside lamp, holding it in defense. She knew it wasn't the best but it was better than not doing anything. The man stayed still like a frozen statue, and Regan wondered if he was even real. She tried to collect her breath. He wasn't moving, neither was she. She felt as if she was going to faint or something. The silence was palpable. She felt air-hungry and it was terrible. Finally, she gathered the courage to ask."Who are you?"The man didn't reply. Moments later, he removed his hood. It was obvious who he was. Her panic went skyrocketing when seeing this entity, spirit, human, whatever he was.He seemed to notice her unease, his expression unreadable. But then, a smirk tugged at his lips.Regan blinked rapidly, hoping that the figure would disappear, but deep down, she knew she had to face the truth."You already know who I am," he answered with his deep voice, dripping with an unsettling confidence. His smirk widened as he observed her trembling form, "Oh, don't be afraid. I won't hurt you," he added, his voice husky, but still sleek as velvet.Determined not to show weakness anymore, Regan straightened up, summoning her courage. She searched for the right words to confront him, but his intense gaze made it even more challenging."Why am I here? What the hell do you want from me?!" she exclaimed, not bothering to hide her anger. Regan despised him for everything he had done. It didn't matter if it was a dream or not; she had found her voice."You should ask yourself why you're here," he retorted. He snapped his fingers and the door slammed shut abruptly. He took steps closer and leaned against the window, crossing his arms."You're insane! Why am I here?" Regan demanded again, frustration evident in her voice. She hesitated to shift from her place, feeling a mix of fear and curiosity."Shouldn't you be asking where you are? This may feel like a dream, but it's not," Sirius replied calmly, his demeanor unnerving her.Determined to get answers, Regan tightened her grip on the lamp and said, "For the last time, tell me why you brought me here, or I'll beat you up!"He scoffed, dismissing her threat, "Oh, you're threatening me? Cute, but pathetic. I wasn't the one who brought you here, girl. You came on your own."Regan's anger flared at hearing his words. She had no idea what was going on and the worst was that she didn't remember anything, "And how did I get here by myself?" she asked, slightly embarrassed, under the scrutiny of his gaze.Sirius simply rolled his index finger, conjuring a white ball of light. Regan was shocked and intrigued by his display of power. "I hope this brings back your memories," he said sarcastically as the ball transformed, revealing a scene of Regan talking to a mysterious woman."What the hell is that thing?" Regan snapped."Wait and watch," Sirius replied, as the ball floated towards her, revealing her encounter with the woman who presented herself as a witch, giving her a potion to get rid off....Regan's eyebrows furrowed as her memories flooded back. She remembered the woman, the potion, and how it led her to drink it at home before falling asleep. The ball's vision faded, leaving her with no further answers.Regan cursed under her breath, her frustration evident. She couldn't believe she had fallen for the witches plan. She couldn't believe how stupid she was to drink that thing. "She lied to me," Regan muttered at yourself."That's what you get for trusting others, Regan. Nonetheless, it wasn't a problem, soon or later you were going to come here," he said."It doesn't make any sense. What happened after I drank it? Did I teleport here?" She asked again, ignoring his last sentence."That's not really important," he retorted, his gaze cold and calculated."Who are you? What are you?" She asked the questions circling in her mind for too long."Me? I'm just what you are. But you know something funny? You don't even know what you really are," Sirius answered, his voice ironic, but filled with genuine amusement as well."Yes, very funny. Are you a wizard?" She asked rolling her eyes. However, she was afraid he was, because there was no other explanation of how he did that ball light thing. And he looked powerful. He was dressed in regal clothes under his cloak. He was really handsome, but she felt like an idiot to acknowledge that now."I'm not only a wizard, I'm the most powerful sorcerer in the whole universe," he said, his voice confident.Regan didn't buy his ego but it was useless to try and argue for his powers, when she in the first place considered herself as ordinary. What could she do? She was just a girl. She didn't even know what he wanted from her."You didn't have to brag. Let's just say you are, what do you want from me? Why the hell have you been haunting me for a whole month?!" Regan asked, glaring at him, her eyes blazing with fury and frustration."Well, as for haunting you, I have had better things to do instead. And as for your dreams, I only did that once. The rest of times, you were manifesting me yourself," he explained, his gaze turned to the isolated window."You're a fool! Why would I manifest someone like you?" Regan replied, taking an angry step further. He was really getting on her nerves, why would she manifest him?He didn't shift from his place, his expression chilly and menacing."Don't test my patience. You're not ready to fight me yet."Regan glared at him, clenching her fists, "I don't want to fight you, I want you to leave me alone and to never see you again. I don't know what your problem is but I want to get the hell out of this place and return to my own home!"Sirius tilted his head, his expression unreadable. He studied her more than necessary and he smirked when heat crept upon her cheeks."You really want this?" He finally spoke. "Because the more you know me, the more you'll want to finish me off. But I have to say, you're a great challenge.""Look, I don't know what you mean, but I'm planning to know you or fight you," Regan retorted, her voice angry but uncertain as well. If he really was a powerful sorcerer, he definitely wasn't a good one."What if I say, I know the history behind that scar? Or that I know your whole background?" He persisted."You don't know anything about me!" She snapped back angrily."Oh, I know more that you know yourself. I know how lonely you've felt your entire life. I know how you've never belonged to that place you call home," he retorted, his eyes piercing through hers, his expression instense.Regan's eyebrows furrowed, wondering how he could know that, how could he know she was lonely."You still aren't answering me, why am I here?" She pressed on."Hmmm, you see...." he drawled, his expression unreadable, "the thing is, you are a sorceress....like me," he revealed.Regan's sapphire eyes widened at what she heard."You're completely out of your mind!" She protested, feeling unsure of where this conversation was leading."No, I'm not! You possess powers. And you're an obstacle. You shouldn't have survived...." He vented, rubbing his forehead. He ran a hand through his hair, seeming as if he was battling with something in his mind.Regan wasn't getting the hang of his words. She didn't understand his point or what did he mean by 'survive'. Did he want her to die? She was just an earthly girl, she didn't even know what his problem was."What powers are you talking about? I don't have any powers! If that's the reason you've been ruining my life, then you got the wrong person. I have no such powers!" She emphasized the last word."Even if I'm wrong, the bond is never wrong. A prophecy and destiny awaits you," he said, his cold, his expression blank and cryptic."Bond? Prophecy? Destiny? That's nonsense!" Regan exclaimed, bewildered."Call it whatever you want, I don't really care," he retorted, his expression lacking interest.Regan crossed her arms, not believing anything, "Look, I don't know what kind of game you're playing, but I'm not buying it. I have no powers!"Sirius, unfazed, shifted in his spot and began to walk around the room. With a wave of his hand, he magically lit the oil lamps and the fireplace.Regan stared at him, dumbfounded."You really think you don't have any powers? How do you explain that time when a girl in your school got her hair on fire? It was you, who did it," he stated. "And what about the undeniable feeling you have when I'm around? Your hair changing color? That's not random," he explained, looking nowhere in particular."Have you been following me everywhere? Have you been staring at me all the damn time?!" Regan shouted angrily."I said that once, I know what personal space is and I had better things to do than to watch you on another planet," Sirius retorted."Another planet?" Regan asked confused. She wondered of why was he referring to earth that way?"Oh, I forgot! It's called Earth, right?" He cleared up.The girl was more bewildered, she couldn't understand why he was talking like this."And why you refer to earth like this? It's the planet where we all live," she said, like obviously."The planet you live," he corrected, "but even you, don't live there anymore."Regan's face got even paler from her inner shock, "What do you mean with that? Are you out of your mind?" she blurted out, her eyes wide, her voice slightly shaky."I thought you were smart to realize but maybe I guess I should have told that earlier. You're not on earth anymore. It's millions of light years away from there." Sirius casually said, as if telling the weather."And you think I believe that?" she retorted, crossing her arms."It doesn't matter to me if you believe it or not," he sternly said and without saying anything, he snapped his fingers, opening the doors, and disappearing in the darkness."What the hell?! Hey! Wait! Get me out of here!" She rushed to the doors but they closed before she could try do anything. Regan tried to open them, but it was no use. Then, she wondered about his words, was she really in another planet? The word itself sent shivers down her spine and terrified her. This seemed like a sci-fi joke. She made her way to the window to see that the sky had darkened to dark red, indicating it was night, maybe?Regan ran her hand through her hair, confused about everything. If what Sirius said was true, then she was screwed. She believed in extraterrestrial life but never thought she'd experience anything related to that. All these thoughts were making her feel like she would go crazy. This shouldn't have been real and nothing more than just stupid, paranormal nonsense.
