11 Evan Rochester [IV]

At some point, the two little brothers were still scared, but they couldn't get outside, they were obediently waiting for their brother. Without realizing it, the time has passed, and they heard a scream, they recognized its owner; it was their brother Andres.

Harold being the second one older, had to do something, but he's scared and his body was shaking from it.

Knowing that he had to protect his little brother, he had the determination to let go of Evan who was in his arms and tells him carefully, "Evan, stay here, for a few minutes, I'll go get something from the kitchen... don't move" remembering that their parents told them that next to the refrigerator there is a deposit of weapons and that they could come handy immediately in an emergency, he wanted to go get some weapons,

Scared little Evan did not want to let go of his brother, he did not know what to do; he has been trained physically, but he is only a child who has not had a deep idea of what supernatural beings and killing are, the innocence he still has is priceless.

Just as Harold remembered what his parents told them, so did Evan, and he understood what his brother would do in the kitchen, still with fear for being alone, little Evan knew they would need weapons to defend themselves because they accepted they had just lost their older brother, without time to express their sorrow, pain washed over them completely, desperation was clear in their faces. So, they had to do it.

"Alright brother Harold, go get the weapons, I'll wait for you here." Little Evan said with determination in his eyes, but his trembling body betrayed any expectations.

Seeing his little brother's determination, Harold decided to put his fear aside, and, taking courage, he headed for the door that led to the kitchen.

Touching the handle, he hesitated for a second and turned to look at Evan, trembling the little boy nodded his head, which received the same response from his brother.

He looked back to the door and opened it slowly, the more he opened it, the more insecure he felt, danger bells were ringing, but he didn't pay attention to them, and that was his biggest mistake.

Opening it with enough space to get out, he looked around a little, but it was dark, but there was enough moonlight to move, he had a slight understanding of where things were placed in the places where the moonlight did not reach and went out the door; he was a few meters from the refrigerator, but what he did not realize is that his breathing was agitated, and this gave rise to anyone who lingered in the kitchen could hear him.

As Harold came out completely, he wanted to do it quickly, but he was not so careful about being quiet, and there was a can on the floor near the refrigerator which was opposite the kitchen exit.

"CLANG"

As he stood on it, the sound of the crushed ca, could be heard throughout the kitchen, echoing in the lonely place, the sinister feeling was heightened, the danger bells were ringing louder, and he felt a chill down his back, he broke out in a cold sweat for a second.

Turning his head to look behind him, he saw a silhouette slowly approaching from the darkness into the light reflecting off the moon and saw that it was his 'mother'.

"BRR." A sound came out of his mouth, he was getting a cold sweat from what was seeing.

She looked different, he was not relieved to see her, on the contrary, he saw the state she was in, he panicked, and when he wanted to run by instinct, the creature that was his 'mother' threw herself at him, as a child in his early teens, he could not move from horror and let his 'mother' catch him.

It grabbed him by the arms and bit him on the neck, poor Harold fell to the ground, with his 'mother' on top of him.

Terror clear in his eyes, pain, despair, while he felt all this, he remembered all the moments he spent with his family, the best of them; for him, his family was the best, his mother and father gave him the best, his older brother taught him things that his parents did not teach him and then there is his little cute brother, Evan...

At that moment he remembered Evan was still in the basement, and with the commotion, he could have heard everything...

He quickly turned his eyes towards the basement door and saw something that he would never forget if he could survive.

***

Evan was nervous when his brother walked out the door, being so small he could understand many things but not all of them.

When he heard the can is being crushed, he got more scared but more than scared he was curious, but that was one of his major regrets in his life.

He slowly walked towards the door and opened it slowly when he was opening it he saw how a silhouette rushed towards his brother Harold who didn't move, he just stood there, when he saw this he wanted to yell at him to move, but before he could do it, the silhouette reached him and they both fell to the ground.

*CLANG, BANG*

He was so scared he was about to scream but instinctively brought his hands to his mouth to keep from screaming. He regretted being curious because he came to see his brother being eating alive.

With tears in his eyes for what he was seeing when he saw the silhouette eating his brother, and in a moment he saw his brother look towards him, despair, panic, sorrow, pain, those were the feelings expressed in both of them, they communicated with the look.

"I'm sorry Evan, your brothers can't protect you anymore, our mother is no more, and I don't know what happened to our father, hide well, under the aqueduct of the cells."

Since they were little, they both have had a certain sense in which they can understand what the other is thinking just by looking into the eyes of each other, it's something innate in some hunters, and Harold had it with Evan.

Evan took one last look at the creature, with hatred and fear in his eyes; but as he did so, he instantly regretted it. The creature that he saw eating his brother, was none other than the warm and beautiful woman named Krystal Rochester, his mother.

But that angelic image of his mother in his mind is replaced by the dark apparition he now had, filled with the blood of his brother Harold, and the black substance.

Regretting having seen her like that, he closed his eyes and did not look at anything else, slowly closing the cellar door, trembling he walked slowly and silently to the gutters behind the cells.

As he did so, he could hear the sounds from outside echoing in the shadowy place. Even the ones from his heart.

*THUMP, THUMP*

The sound of his mother eating his brother Harold, the sound of two more people entering the kitchen.

*MUNCH, MUNCH*

*BLUR, BLUR*

*CHOMP*

And the voice he recognized and would never forget hearing.

But there was no joy, but fear when he heard his father talking. "Keke, I was late, I thought would have another human to experiment with, or feed on, hmm? Where is the other one, little Evan, oh I hope I can taste his blood first as I did with his older brother, too bad I couldn't with Harold, but you, my so-called beloved wife, you gave yourself the pleasure of eating him, his flesh, maybe you won't leave his bones if I don't come in?"

A couple of seconds later, just hearing flesh being eating the vampire speak again. "Oh, that's right, the basement... he-he Little Evan I'm coming for you! Hopefully, you'll taste better than your big bro!"

Going inside the basement, the vampire could easily find Evan, and when he was going to approach him and catch him...
