After little Mara concluded to drop the tournament topic for the time being. The next book she found is about bloodlines.

Something she has needed to find because of the questions she has about baptism.

"Finally, something important..." sighing with relief, the poor little girl found something that can clarify many of her questions.

"But if you found the tournament information interesting..." Heinrich complained a little about her attitude. But the little girl didn't mind.

"It's one thing if it interests me, like some hobby, but it's another thing if it is important information... Don't mix things up when they're very different from how they sound."

Opening the book, the little girl wondered how a book like this could be so illustrative.

The first page graced with a pen drawing. It is a vampire with his claws full of blood and his mouth open, with lifeless eyes.

The next page talks about the levels.

Vampires level 1, are the lowest, they don't understand language, and are like pets for other vampires or races.

Although not accepted by Vampire society, we can see this level of vampires as pets in the eyes of other supernatural creatures, especially if the vampire of this level receives food from one of them, making it easier to capture them. Not only that, but they also make them wear a special collar to prevent them from getting out of control with their bloodthirstiness and attacking indiscriminately.

This level not only feeds on blood, but can feed on rotting flesh.

They also called this 'Level F' Vampire.

Vampire level 2. Even though he's not capable to speak, he can understand the languages.

They understand commands and can react to any word or name assigned to them; they can be pets as well; but are more sought after as servants, but they made them use the same neck collar, to prevent the bloodthirstiness from awakening in them.

We give them the name 'Level E' Vampire.

Vampire level 3, a middle-grade vampire that can speak and understand.

These are easier to command and can wear the special collar only on occasions where humans are present. The temptation of human blood for them is unpredictable. They are best suited to be servants of aristocratic families. We commonly referred them to as Vampires 'Level D'.

Vampire level 4 can become the master of several vampires, a minority leader.

They have a higher understanding than any other vampire below them. They can be servants of Pureblood Vampires, they do not need the collar, because they trained them to resist the temptation of blood even when it is in front of them.

We call them 'Level C' Vampire.

Vampire level 5 can have an aura of a governor, (light above minority leader).

Their rank is not higher than level C, it is just that the only thing that differentiates them is the aura; they are the first of the lower and middle ranks, which are granted with the aura, which makes the other vampires below their level submissive. But this has a drawback, they have a limited amount of vampires they can control.

They are 'Level B' Vampires.

From this Level C down, they are all failed products of vampire conversion. Most humans failed to develop the full Vampire's transformation. Accompanied by those born as vampires. All of them have the color red with different shades, depending on the status, from the softest red to the deepest red.

Vampire Level 6 can command thousands of vampires with a single order.

These are high-vampires, which are above the minions, here fit the Council of Elders. We call them 'Level A' Vampire. It bothers them to be called that way because they are descendants of the 'Nobles', or better-called Aristocrats.

They are human descendants who're transformed into Vampires by the mere fact of sharing the blood of an Aristocrat. However, not because they are descendants of Vampires, they are born one, rather; they're transformed to take a position as Elders and carried the surname of one of the Aristocrat Families.

These Elders may have a dull red shade, yet they are not worthy of the highest status.

They all receive one or two names for the category they belong to, being lower, middle, and higher level. But the difference between them all is the following, which none of the Level A can accept.

We granted vampires without a level with the status of Commanders or Division Heads, which have special abilities, and their eye color varies according to their rank.

Arriving here, little Mara couldn't help but comment.

"Ursula fits into the Level C Vampires. Division Commanders are the outside the level vampires?" The little girl frowned at the sudden realization.

But she didn't wait for the Guardian or Heinrich to answer her, and continued reading.

These have no rank because they are a lower level in the army's status that only serves the Clan Leader, to which they swear allegiance and if they ever betray her what awaits them is something worse than death, eternal confinement with no rights to sustenance.

We have another rank within them, The Army, they're representation is deep purple in their eyes.

Finishing the levels and non-levels, come the two or three most important statuses that define the quality of life that each Vampire will have.

We know the first ones below as "Nobles" or "Aristocrats". These are powerful and prideful Vampires, but not as powerful as Pureblood. They have a small amount of human blood in their ancestry and offspring. Because of this, they have no power over Clan Leaders.

The green color can identify them in their eyes. But these Vampires appear only as one, and they are the ones in eternal rest, which only awakens when the Clan is in danger. Even so, they are below the Clan leader.

Pureblood is the one who has kept his or her vampire blood pure. ... Most vampires have some human blood in them, but a pureblood vampire does not, there is no human blood within the pureblood bloodline. The golden color of their eyes identifies them.

But how to know this, it is said that the first founding vampire turned the first Supreme Leader from human to vampire, but there is no specific record of it.

Human blood affects the birth rate of vampires running through their veins due to this fact is vampires can copulate and create more vampires as offspring, but that does not prevent them from being born as vampires.

But all this depends on the moment in which the precocious vampire has been part of the Baptism ceremony.

Purebloods are not born as pureblood vampires, but they awaken their potential during Baptism. Some precocious vampires take the baptism from the age of ten to fifteen, according to the potential they are born with.

Each Clan Leader can determine the potential of each newly born or newly transformed vampire.

"This is all so complicated, these books tell me everything in so many words, couldn't they sum it up?" the little girl lowered her head.

"Vampires have a long life, because of that they like to write too much to say the same thing repeatedly, because of boredom or because they want their successors to take the time to read, not like you who just expect to know all the things for only seven days..." Heinrich can't keep quiet in these kinds of circumstances, in which he can complain about one or two things.

Rolling her eyes, little Mara analyzed in simple, short words.

"So, purebloods are not born, but they awaken. All vampires have the latent power to be pureblood, but what I understand from Elder Taros' reaction with my eyes is that there hasn't been one in thousands of millennia...

Pureblood golden eyes, white eyes commanders, green eyes aristocrats, deep purple eyes are those of the army... That's what I know.

But the Elders have deep red eyes, and yet they are descendants of the Aristocrats, that means they are descendants with diluted blood, but why are they part of the Aristocrat, because of the name?"

Many unknowns for the poor little girl, but all will answer in due time. Not all truth is what it seems, and not all that it seems is a lie.
