39 Day 2

The next day, little Mara felt mentally tired.

"Alas... Too many villages, too many towers, too many names..." little Mara sighed in exhaustion.

A chuckle echoed in her mind.

"You know, that's just the beginning of what will happen in the upcoming days..." Heinrich couldn't help but tell her with a mocking tone.

Little Mara rolled her eyes.

"I know, although it leaves me worn out, it is something I wanted to do, as I have limited knowledge of the territories and the rest of the customs of each Clan."

The Guardian listened to what she said and nodded in satisfaction at her judgment, and was not short on appreciation.

"It's good that you think about it, that way you realize what you lack and can improve it, as well as learn new things that will be useful for the future..."

Sighing, little Mara didn't take the Guardian's praise to heart, because she wasn't interested in being praised.

After learning the names and locations of both the supernatural and human territory, she continued on to her next stop.

Clans information.

"If I should know more about the clans, why did I start with the territory of each, if I could have found out while reading about them?" little Mara wondered why she did as the Guardian told her.

"Because, so you can understand the history first hand, and you can understand the reason why there are several zones in the middle of the territories, called 'Unknowns', as well as the relationship between them..." Heinrich supported the Guardian, knowing the complicity of the Clans and their territories.

"The books on the second level can be of help, the only thing you have to do is to find the mechanism that allows you to move the floor to the second level."

The Guardian guided the little girl.

Little Mara frowned as she heard him. "Mechanism? Move floor?"

"There is a mechanism that allows the floor to move up, for each level, there is one, so you can look for it to your right under the table, you don't need to move much, just your hand and press the black button to move up and the red button to move down..."

Little Mara bent down. And indeed, she found both buttons. As she pressed the black, several gears rattled and echoed inside the tower.

Not moving anything, the ground rose. Little Mara startled for a few seconds, regained her composure, and calmed down when the ground rose. She found herself on the second level of the tower.

Getting down from the chair, she walked to the wall, taking a book from it. She noted how easy it was to take them off the wall.

Without reading the title's book, she opens it and started reading.

[ Vampires ]

Nobody knows who was the first vampire in history, the only thing that is known is that the first vampire, the Founder of the Clan worshiped for a millennium, until he disappeared, as well as his records of his existence, throughout history many thought that he betrayed the clan, because of this is that no one pays homage to him anymore.

But the reason there are no records is that the Founder disappeared after erasing his own existence. Some rumors say that he disappeared to look for his beloved partner. Others that he could not cope with the burden of the Clan.

After him, the strongest Vampire became the Supreme Leader, but they did this as the last order given by the Founder.

The one who became the Supreme Leader is the Female Vampire who earned the respect of all and was the right hand of the Founder, as well as the first to be converted, or records seem to say.

She led the Clan to its glory until the war between supernatural beings broke the ice between the clans...

[ Lycans ]

At the beginning, the werewolves did not well see the existence of the Lycans, but due to their physique and better conditions to rule over the rest.

The first Lycan overthrew the first Werewolf, as the strongest Lycan they gave him the title of Monarch, thus earning his position as the Monarch of the Lycans and Werewolves.

Below the Monarch, there are Lycans leaders, following by the werewolves.

Lycans can convert from human to their wolf form, or vice versa, whenever they want, anywhere. While werewolves cannot, leaving them within the last ones in the hierarchy, because of their ineptitude to become human except for the new moon or lunar eclipse.

After centuries of harmony between them, but not getting along with the rest of the supernatural creatures, the war exploded, and they saw them in the middle of the other clans, despite not having a good relationship...

[ Fairies ]

Fairies are pixies created from pure magic in the midst of nature. They have never needed to form relationships with others, but have had pacts with Elves and Forest Spirits.

They are small in physique, with long oval-shaped wings, the major distinction being the color of their hair, which dictates their rank.

The Fairy Mother has pink hair and eyes, and white, elastic skin.

They dislike interacting much with other supernatural creatures, but when war broke out, it forced them to take a side, to protect their future and existence.

[ Forest Spirits ]

Semi corporeal entities have inhabited only the forest, these cannot exist on their own, they must make a contract with some other supernatural creature or some human with the talent that helps them to withstand the contract.

They only appear when the contract partner is nearby, otherwise they do not mingle with the others.

There is no information about them, other than the comments of those who succeed to make contracts with one of them.

It is said the Spirit King to have established a contract with a creature millions of years ago, and after the war ended, his whereabouts are unknown.

[ Demons ]

Demons are a race similar to humans and angels, they have black feathered wings, unlike angels, they have the human form. The only thing that makes them different is the horns that protrude from their foreheads and the color of their eyes, black.

They were the front line in the war for the survival of the supernatural creatures, which were selected as the front line because of their involvement with the reason behind the war.

After the war, they retreated to their territory, and only occasionally come out of it.

[ Angels ]

They do not like to be in contact with supernatural creatures, but due to their intervention with them, humans have survived in the face of attacks from the same creatures, but they do not get involved when the humans hunt and maim creatures.

Having their own goals, they gave their support to the humans in the war, giving them special abilities called 'Gifts'.

After the war, they have not intervened. It is said that they suffered several casualties when they discovered the treachery of some of their members.

[ Humans ]

Humans have existed since time immemorial, some of them have made pacts with supernatural creatures for various reasons, from protection to success in their lives. Because of this, they have manipulated the line between the two worlds several times.

Not all humans are aware of the existence of the supernatural world, much less the creatures, but those who know about them, write books or make movies, and subconsciously make them pay attention to their surroundings, thinking it would be a good help to avoid being tricked by one of them.

They had little to do in the war, except for the most skilled 'Hunters', who knew the history and the ones who got chosen by the angels to get the 'Gifts'.

.....

"Everything in these books tells me, is something I already know, or don't fully understand..." it frustrated little Mara with all the unnecessary information she was reading.

The Guardian patiently asked her, "What is it, what don't you understand?"

"They talk about war, so, what war was it? How did it happen? When did it happen? I have a lot of unanswered questions...

Another thing I don't understand, why are there only general records of everything about the supernatural world creatures?"

The Guardian and Heinrich didn't want to comment. Knowing the little girl's character, she would find the answers herself.

Heinrich only told her, "Remember, the book's title…"

"Oh! I forgot…"

Closing the book, she looked at the title on the cover… And let her speechless…

[ Introduction to Supernatural Creatures ]

'General and helpful information about them.'
