Chapter 169 Good Morning, My Wife

Eddison noticed that her body had stiffened. Despite his physical reaction, he knew that it wasn't the right time to do so.

His lips were next to her cheek, but he was gentle and did not progress any further.

On top of that, he tried to suppress his desire and his heavy breathing.

After a long time, he whispered in her ear, "Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you."

He then lifted the quilt and got off the bed. He walked quickly to the bathroom.

Caroline immediately shut her eyes. Her long eyelashes were trembling whereas her hands were holding tightly on the sheets. She was still tense.

The door to the bathroom wasn't shut tightly. She could hear the sound of water flowing from inside. The sentence "I won't hurt you" from earlier was still repeating in her mind as she slowly calmed herself down.

After learning from Loraine and Tyler that the baby inside of her was not Tyler's but Eddison's, she had been having nightmares for the few nights when she was hospitalized.
