2 Yan Ze Village

Da Xia sat up. Her body ached in excruciating pain. The person cooking looked up and gasped, "Oh look who's up.. I mean— you're okay..right?" Da Xia focused on the person, a man? Why does he have long hair? Why was he wearing some dress like clothings?

"I cooked some rice congee for you, hopefully you'll feel better," the man said. She looks at the congee in his hands then asks the man, "Where am I? Shouldn't I be at the hospital?"

The man raised an eyebrow, "Hospital? This basically IS a hospital. My friend here treats people with care. Though she just left to go grab more medicine herbs." Da Xia looked around confused, "So who are you and how did I get here??"

"Believe it or not, I went fishing at the lake. Thought I caught a gigantic fish and was really happy. Pulled the fish net over and it was you. Look, I don't know how you got in there and what you were doing, but you really killed my happiness there. And Song Wu Zhou's the name," he grabbed his cup to drink some water.

Da Xia gave him a look, "If I was in the lake why am I in perfectly dried clothes?" He choked on the water, "Don't get me wrong! It wasn't me who changed your clothings! My friend did!"

Then the door burst opened, "IM BACK!" A woman's voice excitedly yelled. Wu Zhou flinched and stuttered, "W-welcome back.. Jia Yi." She smiles and looked at Da Xia, "Oh great! You're up! Did you eat yet? You have to eat in order to gain some energy."

Da Xia shook her head, "I didn't eat." Jia Yi looked at Wu Zhou, "I thought I told you to give her some food when she wakes up?" He laughed awkwardly, "You see... we got into some kind of conversation.. and..I happened to forget about giving her the food though I mentioned I cooked it for her.."

Jia Yi then smacked Wu Zhou's head for being so forgetful, "A patient always needs to eat first thing when they wake up! How much of an idiot will you always be?" He turned his head away and quietly mocked her as she began talking to Da Xia.

"Hello, my name is Hua Jia Yi. Nice to meet you," she said with a smile. Da Xia bows her head a bit, "Hi.. I'm Liu Da Xia." Jia Yi asks Da Xia with a warm tone, "So, what were you doing in the lake?" Da Xia answers her question with a mumble, "Car accident..." Wu Zhou stood up confused, "Car? Huh? What's a 'car' Jia Yi?" She looks at Wu Zhou, stupefied, "I've never heard of a 'car' either. I don't know what exactly it is."

Da Xia begins to explain, "A car.. it's a vehicle and you can drive it around. Kind of like a carriage that carries a sum amount of people?" Jia Yi put on a poker face, "Such thing exists?" Wu Zhou was uninterested in the 'car' talk, "Anyways- were you with anyone?" Jia Yi then agrees with his question and looks at Da Xia waiting for an answer.

"My boyfriend.. well he's now my fiancé.." she quietly answered. Wu Zhou stepped outside to look then came back inside the house, "I don't see anyone here though." Jia Yi poured some tea in a glass cup, "I'm guessing he was in this 'car accident' with you too?" Da Xia nodded "yes."

"He wasn't in the lake with you though," Wu Zhou crossed his arms. She then found it weird, they were both in the accident together, so why wasn't he with her? Jia Yi tried to comfort her, "Maybe..he wasn't as seriously injured as you and walked off to somewhere? Maybe he couldn't find you."

Wu Zhou smacked his lips, "How the hell did this 'accident' even lead you to end up in the lake??"

Then, something quick struck his heart. He threw up blood and coughed badly. "Wu Zhou! Are you okay?!!" Jia Yi worries and hurriedly went to grab her medicine on the shelves.

He wipes the blood off his lips, "Gaahhh~ it's back.." Puzzled, Da Xia asks, "What's back?"

"He was poisoned not too long ago during a little meeting at the Ying Hua palace. It's been a week and it seems like he hasn't healed from it yet," Jia Yi answered her question as she feeds Wu Zhou the medicine. He bangs his balled fists on the wooden table, "Damn that General."

"Oh.." Da Xia's eye's drifted to the ground she didn't want to meddle in something that didn't involve her. Wu Zhou stood back up, "I feel fine now. Jia Yi you said you wanted to go to town and buy some food right? Let's go, altogether." She looks at him suspiciously, "You sure you 'fine' now?" He smiles, "Of course! Why wouldn't I be?! I have a strong body."

Jia Yi rolls her eyes, "I'm so sure of that."

Altogether, the three of them leaves to town. Da Xia looked around everywhere. Everyone was all wearing traditional Chinese clothings. The buildings were all mostly made out of some kind of stone and wood, the roof edges were slightly curved up.

"So where exactly am I?" Da Xia asks both Jia Yi and Wu Zhou. He replies, "Yan Ze. It's popular for the food here." Jia Yi laughs, "It's like you've never been here before."

While walking around little shops, Da Xia couldn't help but look for Xue Qin. She didn't wander off, but her eyes did. From left to right, high and low. She searched for him. "Where are you at Xue Qin..? I miss you, I'm scared," she spoke in her mind as she walked with Wu Zhou and Jia Yi.
