1 The Accident

"Will you marry me?"

"Yes!"

It was a rainy night. On an empty road, two cars crashed together, causing the window shields to break and left heavy dentures on both of the cars. Sirens were heard indistinctly.

Chen Xue Qin opened his eyes. The sight was blurry and upside down. Blood dripped off his head as he weakly tried to get out of the seat. He looked to the right of him, and there lied his fiancee, Jiang Da Xia, who was unconscious.

"There's a car that's upside down! Quick we need to grab the passengers!!" One of the policemen said as they ran over to help. The passengers for the other car were arrested for DUI.

Slowly the policemen helped Xue Qin and Da Xia out the car. The EMT workers strapped them onto the stretcher and placed them into separate ambulance cars. Xue Qin breathed heavily and looked around slowly. The voices of the EMT workers echoed in his head and he struggled to stay awake. Feebly he spoke, "Da Xia.."

The flashlight shone onto his eyes as a nurse spoke to him, "I'm gonna need you to stay strong, we're going to help you, don't worry." The words of the nurse began to fade out,and then everything blacked out.

In the other ambulance, the workers shouted, "Charge up to 300 volts! We're losing her!" The nurse looked at the electrocardiography device, "We got a heart beat at 80! 97!" The workers became relieved.

After a while, the ambulances finally reached the hospital. Xue Qin and Da Xia were then admitted. And the rest of the work were left to the doctors and nurses there. Hours later after the medical procedure and care, Da Xia opened her eyes and everything flashed upon her.

She looked up at the wooden ceiling as she lied on the wooden bed with comfy pillows and blankets. There were sounds of birds chirping and a river flowing. The wind was gently blowing and the sun was shining beautifully bright. Da Xia looked to the left of her and saw a person. She couldn't tell if it were a man or woman. The only thing she knew was that the person seemed to be cooking something.

Da Xia began to remember of the car accident and began thinking to herself. Where was she? Clearly if she had the accident she would've been at the hospital with Xue Qin. So why was she not at the hospital but at some random old, ancient looking house? And where was Xue Qin?
