8 Find You

A week past by. There were no troubles, it was quiet and peaceful. Jia Yi hangs the wet clothes on the long tree branch to dry them, "Xie Xiao Jian be careful or else you'll trip and scrape your knees!"

He laughs as he runs around, playing with the new toy his father bought him, "Okay mommy!" Ying Pei comes by and helps Jia Yi hang the clothes.

Da Xia follows Wu Zhou around town. They had been told to buy vegetables and fruits together by Hua Jia Yi. He stops at a fruit station and picks up a random melon, "This. Can I have this one?" He asks the vender. Da Xia looks at the melon he held, "That's not a tasty one though." She looks at the box full of melons and digs through, "Ha! This'll be a great one!"

Wu Zhou takes a quick look at her then back at the vender, "I'll take them both." While walking to another station, Da Xia asks him, "Why didn't you just buy my melon?" Without looking at her, he replies, "I'm going to see if my melon is better tasting than yours or not." She scoffs," Yeah right, whatever."

"Thief!!" Someone yells as he chases a man in black clothing. The man quickly pulls a dagger out and throws it to the chaser. Residents screams in terror and ducked down, avoiding to get hit from the attack.

While looking at vegetables, Wu Zhou notices something off. He looks over at Da Xia who is at the station across him. With all the loud screams and noises, Da Xia looks up and over at the residents, "What's going on?" As Wu Zhou walks over to Da Xia, the man in black pushes her down and continues running while putting something in his pocket.

Worried Wu Zhou runs to help her up, "Are you okay?! Are you hurt anywhere??" She lifts her eyes up towards him, "Why do you care all of a sudden? I thought I was a 'suspicious' person to you?" She gets up and brushes the dirt off her dress. Annoyed he slowly turns away, "Right, I needn't care anyways."

Da Xia gasps in shock, "My ring is gone!!" He yawns, "So what? It's just a ring." Da Xia grabs the collar of his robe, "My fiancé gave me that ring! It's important!" He raises an eyebrow and crosses his arms, "And what could I possibly do to help this 'suspicious' person?"

Irritated she let's go of him without any says and chases after the man in black. Honestly worried for her safety, he sighs then chases after her quietly.

During the chase Da Xia fastens her speed to catch up. When she got closer to the man, she pulls the back of his black shirt. He falls back down, and with sharpening fast moves, he swings a dagger towards her. In fear she stays still, unable to move a muscle.

Wu Zhou jumps down from the house's rooftop, unsheathes his sword, and makes the man drop his dagger. Terrified, the man gathers his things and runs off. Wu Zhou helps Da Xia up, "Are you okay?" Her heart beats fast, "I'm scared, I saw something horrifying."

He knelt down beside her, "Something horrifying?" She begins to explain, "It had eyes of a monster, hungry enough to devour human beings, and it held me down! I couldn't move! Wu Zhou I was so scared!"

Their surroundings becomes quieter after the man ran off. Wu Zhou looks at her for awhile then places his hand on her head, "That's not possible that you'd see something like that. It was just your imagination." He stands up, "Let's go back, today's such a tiring day." She looks up at him, "But what about my ring?" Wu Zhou walks off without her, "Can't do anything about that now, it's gone. Just accept that fact."

The man runs to Jin Xing Palace and enters the Prince's room, "Your Highness! I've collected this much worth of gold and silver! May I have my daughter back now???" Chen Xue Qin turns around to look at the man, "Let me see what you've got."

He unknots the bag to show the prince what he has. Xue Qin's eye's widens, he quickly picks up a ring, "Where did you get this ring from?! How did you find it?!" The man spoke, "Your Highness, I was just running around at Liang Cuo Village and happened to see a woman wearing that silver diamond ring! I did nothing but steal from her and others!"

Xue Qin throws the man's daughter on the ground, "Take her, I don't have any needs from her anymore." The girl runs into her father's arms, petrified. Quickly they left the palace in terror and relief. Xue Qin changes his clothes, "Da Xia, hang on, I'll come get you." He begins ordering his people around, then soon leaves the palace altogether while riding horses.
