3 Chaper 3: The Escape (revised)

Charlie ran towards her thought to be dead father. He felt real but she still couldn't believe that he was standing right in front of her. Her eyes filled up with tears and ran down her face as she buried her head in her father's shoulder. The happiness she felt soon turned into rage as she pushed him back.

"Where were you for all these years, you left me alone with no-one to go to?" She yelled letting out years of anger and frustration, but her father didn't respond, he stood there, not moving. During the silence Charlie heard her supposed father start to grind and saw smoke coming out of his back. "He's fake," Michael said bluntly. He stood slowly and walked over to Charlie "I'm sorry, but we must leave quickly, we are in danger." Michael walks over and undoes the chains binding John and Jessica. "Are you two okay?" Michael asked his two other friends as they rubbed their wrists "Yeah," They said in unison "Just sore." John finished as Jessica giggled at the timing of the responses.

Charlie's fake father started to move again, but his movements were stiff only making the point that he was an animatronic even stronger. The animatronic posing as Charlie's father let out a high pitched ringing as they heard walls starting to be smashed and crushed under great weight. "We have to go now!" Michael yelled, grabbing Charlie's wrist and running to the entrance of the pizzeria as she wept, John and Jessica followed close behind with John carrying Jessica close to his chest. They must have taken a wrong turn somewhere because they were in the security office, the room was small and dirty, boxes and cobwebs littered the room, 2 buttons were next to the 2 doors, they read Light and Door, to finish the room off, there was a power switch on the back wall. Quickly they flipped the switch and shut the doors as monstrous versions of Freddy and Foxy made their way to the windows, looking into the room as though they were trying to speak to them and ask them to let them in. Time passed and the animatronics never left, the only things changing being the time, and the amount of power the small crew had in their reserve. Their power was growing lesser and lesser with each passing minute, in the few hours they were there, the power drained from one hundred to 25. The batteries on their phones had died, luckily there was a clock on the wall. Charlie looked up at the clock. "Ok, it's 5:59, let's hope they leave soon." she said with fear in her voice.

With each moment passing the four of them waited in the dilapidated office, each with bated breaths. Every one of them holding another close as the robotic monstrosities that waited outside the window seemed to stare directly into their souls. Silence filled the room as they took quiet breaths, making sure not to make a sound, hoping that it would keep them safe.

The group jumped in surprise as sounds of crashing and banging echoed down the hallway steadily coming closer with each second passed. The sound grew louder as it grew near, until it stopped, almost as though time had stopped itself. The only sound left throughout the building was the soft ticking coming from the clock that was up on the wall.

The world was still for moments that had felt like minutes or hours had passed, until the animatronic that had stolen the face of Charlie's father ran over Foxy, who the moment before was still staring at them through the window to the office. The monster who had crashed through the window fell head first onto the desk and hit the ground with a metallic thud. With nowhere left to run. Charlie, Michael, John, and Jessica held each other close and tried their best to get as far away from the monster as much as they could within the small confines of the office.

Their backs pressing against the wall as they tried to get away from the creature, it lunged forward toward them, it missed them by inches, hitting the ground with a dull, metallic, thud. Thinking fast John jumped onto his feet and slammed the button to open up the office door, running out into the hall and pushing everything out of his way frantically to make a path for the others, who were quickly following suit. They quickly ran through the building following John closely, as the animatronic that attacked them got back up and started running after them.

They did the best they could to avoid the monster, but eventually it caught up to them just as they had reached the exit. The creature lunged after them once again, grabbing onto Charlie's ankle just as she had reached the exit. Panicked and fearful she quickly grabbed a nearby shelf and slammed it down on the monster, the horror, that impersonated her father's being.

It seemed to scream in pain as it released Charlie's ankle, without missing a beat, she ran through the exit way, leaving not only part of her past, but the memory of her father behind.
