4 Chapter 3: In The Walls

The vent shuddered for every movement Lora made. At first, she paused every-time before gaining more and more courage and stopping less and less. This metal void seemed to continue forever. Lora kept crawling and crawling until she saw it, an opening upwards. That was where the vent ended. At first, she was quiet, but realized no one was there, else they would have heard her. As she peaked out of the vent, she was met with even more darkness, and walls. She seemed to be above a pit, but upon looking behind her, she realized the vent was covered by a floor. It was simply pitch black. Where was she? This looked nothing like a restaurant. It looked more like a haunted house. The walls had a strange pattern of red, blue, and green, while the ceiling was a reflection of the floor. Pitch black.

As Lora emerged from the vent and tripped a bit on the ground, she saw a bit of light in the distance to her right. It was shining in through what seemed to be a window. She grabbed Freddy, who was still unresponsive and slowly made her way to the light. To her surprise, it wasn't a window, but a hole in the wall. When Lora poked her head through, she saw something unexpected. She wasn't in a new area, but IN the walls of the building. They were built as if someone could live in them. It wasn't like she was in another room, this was different. There was nothing here, and there were no doors, no cameras, no lights. It was simply a hollow wall, which thankfully had a floor. She gazed out of the hole, and saw that she wasn't to far from where she passed out. It was across the hall, around a corner, which had a nasty surprise waiting. Foxy was there, sniffing the air and searching for her. He must have only just began searching, as he was getting closer to where she fell unconscious. He kicked a can on the ground and immediately ran after it. She saw him throw the crumbled can back into view furiously as it stomped with rage, returning to smelling the air. Then, it paused. It's ears twitched and realizing what it was doing, Lora held her breathe and hit the deck. It was listening for her.

Lora stayed quiet and covered Freddy in case he began to talk while she was hiding. Slowly, she crawled away from the opening and towards the left. She hadn't come that way, so maybe there was a way out there. Quickly, she turned to check if Foxy was there. She was startled to see he was staring right at her, his head through the hole. He began trying to force his way to her. At first, it seemed like nothing to worry about. Freddy was the huge one, and he didn't seem to like Foxy and was someone "helping" Lora. She was fine. But then, the wall began to give way.

Lora leaped up and ran towards the other way. The hallway seemed endless and eventually she heard it. CRASH! Foxy had gotten in! She stopped only for a moment before she began running even faster, but she heard the footsteps galloping behind her. Foxy was much faster than her. Only a short time later and when she looked back, she saw him swiping at her back and trying to claw into her. As he did so, Freddy began to shift every now and then. Lora shook him to see if his eyes would open, but no luck. Desperate now feeling Foxy's hook graze her hair, she turned into a hallway to her left and got a good distance away before Foxy caught back up. The hall she was in had many holes and each one had light shining in, as if from outside, but as Lora looked, it was simply a well lite room. Freddy was now moving constantly.

Lora began to feel dizzy and she didn't know why. She became tired, but so did Foxy. Neither stopped running. The hall never ended and the holes seemed to be everywhere too. Then she saw it. Every so often there was a hall blocked off by a door. This wasn't a hall, it was a huge circle! And she was trapped. She had to open the door somehow. While she was running, Freddy began vibrating intensely and she dropped him.

Then, suddenly, instead of light shining through the holes, a pair of red eyes and teeth looked inside. They stared at Lora and Foxy as they ran. Foxy didn't seem to notice, which was a mistake on his part. Without warning during one of the laps around the hole, an arm lunged out and grabbed Foxy. It pulled him back out through the wall which gave way on impact. Lora heard a yip and saw Foxy go flying onto the other side of the room, and scrabbled to get back up. He let out piercing scream before running off on all fours. All six? Let's just say he ran with his arms and legs and high tailed it out of there. At first she thought Bonnie had saved her, but she soon saw it was another friend. Freddy looked in through the hole he had created breathing a bit heavily before calming down, his tail slowly moving. He forced his way through, making the hole even wider, and began looking around. He saw the plushie of himself and ran to grab it before running to Lora and presenting it to her. It was now shaded red and vibrated like mad. It's eyes were now alarmingly open with little white buds instead of more natural looking eyes.

When Lora took the plushie away, Freddy began pointing to the back of his head, but Lora couldn't understand what he was trying to say. He kept pointing, turning around so she could see, pointing to her and then pointing back to him, but she still was confused until Freddy for the first time spoke. "JUST FLIP THE SWITCH ON IT'S HEAD!" He said, creating a huge echo.

It actually did startle Lora, and she backed up a bit. He seemed to shout, but it wasn't actually a shout. His voice was monstrous and very loud, this became more apparent when Freddy suddenly clenched his mouth and looked a bit ashamed for a second. He once again slowly and cautiously pointed, not to Lora, but to the plushie and then back to the back of his head. He seemed worried he'd scare Lora, so she inspected the plushie to ease him and try to figure out what he meant.

On the back of it's head indeed was a switch. It was quite small, so Lora didn't notice. She flipped it and the Freddy's Plushie stopped moving. It returned to it's normal color of brown and closed it's eyes. Without saying a word, Freddy sat down and closed his eyes. The plushie's eyes opened and they stared straight at Lora. It spoke, now in a much different voice. It was like Bonnie but a bit more carefree, more confident and wild. "Now I can keep an eye on you more easily. Just call if you need me." It closed it's eyes and Freddy got back up, eyes open again, and began to walk away. Lora looked at Freddy and nodded towards him. "Thank you." She said. Freddy turned to her, nodded, and walked off.

Lora could've jumped out through the hole her friend made, but then realized Foxy was now outside, most likely waiting for her to leave, and without Freddy right next to her, it would be trouble. She continued to find a silver hallway, inside were two openings on the side which strangely contained water, but the way the water moved was bizarre to Lora. She was as smart as a wip, and knew how things worked while other kids were baffled. So she became confused when she realized the water was flowing into the building.

A metal shudder from behind broke Lora's concentration and caused her to quickly move away. She ran forward and then looked back to find nothing but an open hole in the ceiling. There had been a vent shaft cover that had fallen off of the hole, which clearly lead to a slightly brighter room. However, something behind Lora seemed to call out to her. All that was there was a grey door, illuminated by a tiny grey lamp above. It's light strangely seemed to be a strange shade of black, but shined bright none the less. Something was coming from the other side, a sound. It was faint, but constant, never wavering once. Lora on her toes crept to the door and listened, for breathing, or maybe a voice. The sound was not accompanied by anything else however, and for five minutes all Lora heard was that one noise. Finally, she conjured her courage, and opened the door. Inside were video tapes, huge masks, and some books, covered with horrid blood. Two tables with blue prints on each, one having a huge TV on top. The blueprints were faded red and most of the tapes had the film torn out of them and were mangled with teeth marks. However, three of the tapes still seemed to work, and were battered to say the least. The TV itself had been worn by the test of time and much more, for it had slashes all across it's exterior. The screen however, was in tact, not even a scratch. Plugged into it were three tape players, each irremovable from the TV and each numbered. The top was number "2," the middle was number "1," and the bottom was number "3." She grabbed the three tapes and noticed on the top were names. One said "Baby," one said "Fredbear," and the last one said "Freddy." She put one at a time in the slots but for each, the screen didn't flash, nor even displayed any static.

Before Lora could learn how to turn on the TV and play the tapes, a knocking came from above. Then, this knocking became slamming against the floor. Quickly, Lora ran out of the room as a piece of the ceiling fell to the ground. A fox like head peeked out of the opening, but it wasn't Foxy. It was painted differently. It had white fur and red cheeks on it's face, in fact, it's head actually seemed to be dangling off of it's body, and the 'fur' looked more plastic instead of the realistic fur of the Foxy that had chased her. It searched around the room, and retracted it's head, thumping in the room above. Lora was again still for a moment before she had a fearful realization. This room was a dead end. There was no door within the room except for a small closet. It would take a long time before Lora could get back to the vent and by then, Foxy may be on her trail again. She HAD to risk it, there was no way around it. She began to walk to the hole but then something stopped her. She had forgotten why she went into the room in the first place. The sound was still going as the door remained open to the room.

Quickly, she went back inside and began listening for the sound, honing in on it, like Bonnie would whenever she lost her phone and they called it so it would ring. Sometimes he would even find it if it was on silent, which was once the strangest thing about Bonnie. Now, it was practically normal. It was too bad Lora had been pulled out of the house before she could get her phone. The situation may have been different... Then, she heard it. Another sound now. Ticking along with the whirring mystery sound. It stopped abruptly, but she had found the direction of the source by then. With all her force Lora moved the table without the TV, which to her shock and pride, she found one more door behind it. She took a moment to congratulate herself before slowly opening it. The door was a strange shade of yellow, as if from an old cartoon she once did a project on. The room it belonged to was also this strange color, and in the center was a extremely old looking projector, missing it's contents. This was the source of the sound to her relief. It was on, projecting on the screen across from it on the wall, but showed nothing but a light that was the one thing that wasn't tinted in the room aside from Lora. This projector was stranger than the TV in a way. It seemed old in model but in tech, it was quite advanced. It was wired to small speakers for sound and had the option to turn off color, which was quite incredible for the time it seemed to be from.

She began inspecting the room, and to Lora's amusement, there was one clock hanging in the room. It was based off of Freddy, and it took was a strange yellow. She smiled. "Thank you." The clock's frozen eyes sprung to life and immediately glanced at her before going back to normal. Lora looked at the doorway to find Freddy there, peeking inside. She waved at him. "You guys are full of surprises. Thanks again Freddy!" She began walking to him but then stopped dead and went pale. She gripped the Freddy plushie tightly to her. As she did, the eyeless, bloody, huge golden bear disappeared. It's laugh like a child's, but terribly distorted.
