2 .2.

During the trip, I realized that the night was approaching, the people in the squares would put away their things, and they would leave, leaving everything as lonely as it was entertaining. What characterized our city was the weather, most of the time it rained or it was very windy, but if not, a beautiful sun illuminated us, it was beautiful, it depends on how you see it.

I stopped thinking about the weather and focused my eyes on the establishment that was in front of us, a police station.

"What are we doing here?" I already knew the answer, but I refused to enter, it had been a few messages, we must not exaggerate.

"You know why, we come to report, leave the bikes with a lock and let's go inside"

"I do not want"

"I'm not interested" Michael and Diego approached me and took my bicycle with my backpack, accompanying Dani to the parking lot there and thus being able to lock the bicycle.

I did not fight or follow them, it was not worth it, so I waited for them.

When they arrived, they stood next to me and walked me inside.

"I'm not going to talk" It's the only thing I said.

"Agree"

There were not many policemen in the place, but those who were, seemed busy, except for one who approached us to speak with us.

"Good afternoon, how can I help you?" He said with a big smile.

"We came to file a complaint" Dani said as he pointed at me with his head, and at that moment I wanted the earth to swallow me.

"Well, come with me" We all nodded and followed the policeman, who led us to a small office.

The policeman made us sit in the three chairs that were there, Michael being the one who remains standing, while the policeman sits in front of us.

Time passed, Michael just watched me waiting for me to make a move, and sometimes he made funny faces to distract me.

Although we are in a bad situation, he and I showed a smile, but we ended up erasing it when we saw Dani scolding us with his eyes while Diego spoke. I had nothing to do but listen, and incidentally, play with my fingers, waiting for them to finish speaking.

Dani and Diego were talking more than a parrot with the policeman, ignoring the fact that one of the messages that the unknown person had sent me was not to tell anyone about him and the messages.

"Did you ever think it could be some very bad joke? " I managed to hear from the policeman. Looking at him, he wasn't looking at my friends, he was looking at me. I shifted uncomfortably in my seat.

Diego and Dani looked at each other, how silly, that's what one should think at the beginning of seeing the messages.

It sure is a joke and this is making a fuss.

"Well no, it seems they didn't think about it. the policeman sighed, tired" the best they can do is ignore it, you know, go on with your life, and if it happens again, block, that's it.

The policeman gave indications that he was going to speak again, but a noise interrupted him.

When I pick up my cell phone again, I see how from another number, they tell me "I know you're at the police station, get out of there"

I reread the messages, and showed them to the policeman, who was speechless.

"Why do you insist so much?" Dani asked.

The policeman did not say a word, took out some papers, grabbed a pen and began to write. "Look, what we could do is wait to see what another play can be made, we still have little information, so I can't do much. Let's wait for the next move, okay?"

I was speechless, my confused face was noticeable to everyone present, the policeman went from ignoring my house to making a plan.

"Wait? What if the person behind all this does something to you? What if they kidnap her? What if they kill her? What are we going to do if it happens? We can't wait." Diego spoke, rising abruptly from his seat and reaching the door, while we imitated him "thanks for nothing, officer" he said as he opened the door and let me pass first.

"And what are we going to do?" Diego asked, breaking the awkward silence.

"I have no idea, what do you think? Dani?"

"I don't know, go on your way without me, I'll go home" He said frustrated, going to the parking lot with us behind.

"Are you angry, Dani?"

"No, Nicole, I'm not angry, I'm worried, I don't want to be hurt, you're my friend." He got to his bike and started taking it out.

"They won't do anything to me, there's no worry"

"That's what you say, see you." It's the last thing he says, and then put on the hood of his jacket and go on the bike.

Diego watches him go and lets out a sigh, then looks at us.

"I'll go too, I have to do homework, and my mother will worry about me if I don't come, see you." Diego says goodbye to be able to walk in the opposite direction.

"Let's go, I'll walk you home." Michael tells me, seat, I take out my bike, and we walk down the empty street.

The silence was uncomfortable, no one said a word, we just looked ahead, him with his skateboard in hand and I riding the bike super slowly.

We had no conversation, until he breaks the silence.

"Dani looks at you a lot, didn't you notice?"

I look at him doubtfully, not knowing what to answer, I decide to ignore his question and continue walking with him by my side.

It seemed disrespectful of him, more than he knew that Dani and I are just friends, I don't know what he wanted to expect from us. The night was getting darker, and the few street lights did not help the sight. The crickets were singing and the cars were passing at high speed, I could tell that they were trying to step on us, so we had to move closer to the houses.

When we went through the alleys of the bars for people without so much money, we saw one or another drunk, although most of them were fighting each other, or sharing their drink.

"Won't you have any coins, sweetie?" I spoke one approaching.

"No, you have one, Michael?" Talk looking at him, asking for help with his eyes, he got in my way to change places with me, the drunk man seemed offended as he put a hand on his chest exaggerating the situation.

"We have nothing, sorry, so you can go." Michael spoke, the drunk smiled, thanked and left. "What an idiot, we have to be careful with people like him." I looked at him wrong, he may be drunk or need money, but we must not treat them that way, they are still human

"Don't be silly, he was just drunk and it looked like he needed money, you don't have to treat him like that"

"Come on Nicole, those kinds of people are the ones who seem good, but end up being trash, they steal your things and abuse your kindness. You have to be tough on them and earn the respect you deserve"

He really couldn't believe what he was hearing, it was quite hypocritical of him, being that he was in the same condition while Dani and Diego helped him out of it. I really didn't know this side of my friend.

"Are you really telling me that? You were in the same conditions, our friends had to help you to get out of that, you were living with Diego for a year, and with me for two weeks, you idiot, it also doesn't hurt good person" He saw me angry, but I was more angry, he started the conversation with me wrong saying about Dani.

"I can't believe how stupid you are, I'm telling you for something, I used to steal in those days, or how do you think I gave you back the money that I took from you using your house, things don't pay for themselves Nicole, and I don't plan to work" He said to me, then get on his skateboard and start to walk away from me with his frown. When I saw him walk away, I kicked the ground and got on my bike, ready to follow him, if it hadn't been for the same drunk who threw himself on me, trying to suffocate me, to which I brought my nails to his eyes, squeezing it and making him let go of me, as he does so, he falls to the ground with his hands over his eyes and screams.

I take the opportunity to look for my backpack lying on the ground, grabbing my water bottle to hit him with it and then throw half the water that was inside. Still holding my bottle, I start to walk away from him, slowly, without turning my back on him. I did not know what to do, never in my life had I experienced something like that. I see how he looks at me with fear and runs away, I sigh and go to the same place, looking for my bike. As I get closer, I can't find her, my despair increases, if my mom finds out that I lost her, I'm dead. I decide to ignore those negative thoughts and turn my head around, frustrated, I was ready to continue my way if it had not been that the drunkard's scream interrupted me.

"bitch!" He said shouting from a few streets, with several of his friends, laughing and joking.

The desire to go and get my bike back was not lacking, but seeing all those men together and drunk late at night scared me.

So, I decided to continue on my way, tomorrow I would file a complaint against those people and scold Michael for leaving me alone. Lazily, I started my walk home, with my backpack hanging from my back and my hood covering my face.
