75 Chapter 75: What was she doing last night

It was already too late by the time Mu Ru finished preparing herself. Dongfang Yu and Xi Muxue were already eating their breakfast. Dongfang Jun was sitting at the side, Dongfang Mo was nowhere to be seen, and Dongfang Mei was not yet downstairs.

As she approached the dining table, Dongfang Jun immediately pulled the dining chair beside him, offering the seat to Mu Ru. Mu Ru nodded and thanked Dongfang Jun in a low voice.

"Did you finish listening to the class last night?" Dongfang Jun asked.

Dongfang Jun waited for her answer as he continued to eat his breakfast.

"Not yet," Mu Ru answered.

Mu Ru lowered her head.

"Huh?" Dongfang Jun asked. He was confused.

Dongfang Jun was obviously a little surprised. He turned his head to look at her.

"Didn't you go back to your room very early last night? What did you do? Why haven't you finished listening to the recording?" he asked.

"Last night?" Mu Ru asked. She also seemed confused.

Mu Ru lowered her head and couldn't help but blush. Dongfang Mo had used a simulator and made her faint, and she had slept all the way until daybreak. That was why she was unable to finish listening to the recording.

"Sister-in-Law was listening to a class last night, but it was an ***** class," Mu Xue said in a mocking tone.

"I might have to disappoint Second Madam. I caught a cold yesterday and went back to my room to take two pills before falling asleep. So, I didn't hear anything," Mu Ru answered.

"Really?" Dongfang Yu asked mockingly.

Dongfang Yu's lips curled into a mocking smile as he wiped his mouth with a napkin.

"Why did I hear someone from your room scream so loud last night? It tore through the whole house," he continued.

"I had a dream last night," Mu Ru answered casually.

Mu Ru gritted her teeth as she glared at Dongfang Yu.

"I saw a ghost in my dream. Am I not allowed to scream in my dream?" Mu Ru asked.

"Sure, sure, sure!" Dongfang Yu answered as he raised his hands, as if to signify surrender.

Dongfang Yu stood up and prepared to leave the dining table.

Before he walked away, he said, "Looks like Sister-in-Law had a nightmare last night. I thought Sister-in-Law had a sweet dream."

Mu Ru was so angry, and she was about to speak again when Chang Yu-sheng's song suddenly echoed inside the dining room.

"I miss you every day...I ask myself every day, 'When will I be able to tell you I miss you every day?' I guard my heart every day...I leave my best love to you..."

Everyone was stunned. They looked up and saw Dongfang Yu elegantly taking out his phone from his bag. He walked towards the living room while talking on the phone.

"Ah, Lili, what? You're waiting for me to have breakfast? I've already eaten. What? Okay, okay, I'll be right there. The usual place. See you there!" he said.

When Dongfang Yu ended the call, he walked straight towards the main entrance of the living room. Dongfang Jun and Xi Muru were already used to his behavior and did not find it strange. They lowered their heads again and ate breakfast quietly.

However, the silence did not last for more than two minutes. They soon heard a high-pitched female voice echoing from the living room.
