I Am Changing

Mishika has found a great group of friends to spend her college time. Though she thought that she will spend her time with her school friends but things didn't work as she thought initially.

It's been a month since Mishika bunk her lecture but now it has become a habit of her.

The girl who used to be a scholar in her school, is missing all her lectures everyday.

It's a new day and Mishika is in the lobby waiting for others to come.

Someone comes from behind and jump in front of Mishika.

"Sakshi I am gonna kill you if you will come late ever in the rest of these three years." Mishika yelled.

But it wasn't Sakshi standing in front of her but it's Megha with some serious expressions.

"Where the hell are you from last month. You haven't attended any of the classes?" Megha asked with a deep voice.

Mishika is so nervous because it's the first time ever that she has seen Megha so angry.

"I didn't wanted to come to the classes." Mishika whispered guilty.

Megha is about to yell more but Sakshi, Zeeva and Sarah come there at that moment.

"Woho what's going on here girls? " Sarah asked sarcastically.

Sarah's tone was enough to add fuel to Megha's anger. She was on the verge of exploding but her phone rang and she had to pick that up.

"Thank God. Megha was going to kill me today." Mishika sighs.

All four of them laughed and they went to sit in the canteen, their all time favorite spot.

Today it's the time for Physics Lab work and Mishika has to attend that. Lab was the only thing that Mishika is still following.

Mishika entered the lab and looked for Megha. She is talking to a boy.

He is a boy with average height and too slim. Mishika goes to them and smile while greeting Megha.

"Hey you!!" Mishika said to Megha with enthusiasm.

Before Megha could reply, the boy intervene sarcastically.

"Hey you too stranger."

Mishika felt a bit uncomfortable with his tone and as they don't know each other at all.

Just then Megha said, "Hey Mish! Meet my friend Sandy."

Mishika carefully notice the guy and then smiled at him.

Sandy is now talking to both Mishika and Megha and he seems like a nice guy who is not hitting the next moment of Hi at least.

Class ended finally and Mishika is tired like never before. There was too much work to do in lab.

Sakshi and others have already left so Mishika has to go home alone.

When she reach the home her father look at her with questioning eyes. Mishika was not sure why he is looking at her like this because he never looked at her in this manner.

"What?? Is there something on my face?" Mishika ask nervously.

She is trying to be as calm as possible but her gut feeling is telling her something else.

"This is the first time ever that I haven't seen any books in your hands." Misika's father replied with a serious tone.

Mishika is feeling like freezed on the spot. Her hands are sweating and her throat is dry.

"Well the semester has just started, I will get them soon." Mishika said.

"Hmph. I believe ya girl." Her dad replied with a tender tone.

After this exchange Mishika ran to her room and sat down on bed. She is sitting on the bed still like a statue.

Finally she moves and open her college bag. For her wonder there was nothing in that bag except a register which was also blank.

Mishika doesn't know how she is feeling after seeing this. She is having mixed emotions, guilt and anger.

"WHAT AM I DOING WITH MYSELF?" Mishika yelled on herself.

She starts crying and at that moment her phone rings. It's Zeeva!

At first she thought not to pick up the call but eventually she pick that up.

"Hey Zeeva... " Mish said while sobbing.

"Wait are you crying Mish??" Zeeva asked tenderly.

Mishika is not able to say anything. Her throat is completely dry and the lump in her throat is not letting her say anything more.

She disconnected the call. After few minutes, her bedroom door opens and two faces are peeking inside.

Mishika stand up to see who is there and there are two smiling faces looking at her. It's none other than Sakshi and Zeeva with Sarah on video call.

"What are you doing here?" Mishika asked surprised with tears in her eyes.

Without saying anything else, Sakshi and Zeeva pull her for a hug tightly.

This moment of pure bliss melted Mishika's heart. She felt like luckiest girl alive on this earth with such best friends in her life.

She made a decision in her mind that she will catch up with the studies but will not let her friends go away.
