4 Rendition

June, End of Term

Another days were flashing by.

When some other part of the world currently enjoying the shift of season from spring to summer, it remained the same here. Sunshine everywhere with a few droplets of rains in between. Bougenvilles are blooming in every corners, followed by geraniums, water-lily, and another seasonal flowers. The always green sansievera never absent from this flower seasons show, keeping the air fresh and clean from all sort of pollution. It's actually a lovely time.

There's no more classes to attend to, and the exams were already over. What a perfect combination!

It was also the time for this: Sport festival!

An existence that could bring joy to the students whose recent life were packed with studying and end-of-term-exams. It was a great occupation indeed, to enjoy this leisure- unless you have a bunch of remedial or some test to retake.

Considered herself as a non-sporty person, Chii didn't really enjoy this kind of events. However, the atmosphere created from the excitement couldn't spare her enough time to enjoy her tiny-little world. It was their first Sport Festival ever as a high-schooler, so more or less, she had to contribute as a class member. Apart from a certain event she was forced to joint, all she did was became a spectator.

Finally, she could overcome her boredom by developing a new pleasant activity: watching basketball and futsal competition while reading some books (volleyball's sucks, and athletic sports wasn't that fun to be watched, so yeah).

On one fine day (forgive this excessive phrase), Chii watched her class' futsal competition from the classroom's hallway with her other classmates.

As Chii tried to enjoy the match, her eyes kept wandering around aimlessly, recording every little details her senses could catch: observing. Skies, courtyard, classroom, rooftop, soil, net, fallen leaves, peoples, paint, flowers. She scanned all of that while thinking some kind of possibilities that could be thought from those objects, leaving her book hanging on the air. Just like a common study freak.

She was in the middle of observing when her eyes stumbled upon someone on the other side of the courtyard. That familiar figure again.

From this point of view, she could barely saw his complexions but one thing she could noticed right away, was his distinct and beautiful smile which happened to popped out the moment she set her eyes on him. Those sparkling eyes and the dimple on his right cheek was truly a heavenly view. She scanned his figure immediately, recording every part of this person she could observed. 'What an interesting object', she smiled unconsciously while thinking about it.

She didn't have any other thought at the moment, just pure bliss like finding an oases in the middle of the dessert. A common feeling you would get when admiring a beautiful piece of art. Just sweet.

"Chii??? "

Araa's voice like a morning call which made her feets touch back on the ground.

Chii startled, raised her eyebrows while asking,

"Wut? "

Araa successfully snapped her back to reality, ruining her "small contemplation". Knowing what she had done, Chii felt a bit guilty. How could she shamelessly ogling on someone she didn't know? Uh, yeah, she knew him, but not in a familiar way. She apologized deeply in her thought, bowed ninety degree while created a huge reminder on her head to never do that deed ever again.

"So you DO interested on that dude, huh?"

Araa made a huge grin, ready to poured her friend with a lot of questions and of course, tons of teasing remarks.

"H-huh? What do you mean?! "

Chii tried to acting cool, suppressing the guilt from 'trespassing' other's privacy right away. Huh? Why did I stutter just now? What did Araa ask me though? Chii blanked for a moment. Again. What's with this idiotic response?. Ugh, this thing really disturbing her peaceful mind.

"You like Aoki right? Your eyes clearly showing that!" Araa's accusing tone snapped her back.

"Huh??? Aoki who?"

Chii's impulse reacted abruptly and made her friend reaffirmed about her unusual reaction to this boy.

Smirked, Araa made a gesture with her chin to point out the object that Chii observed just now.

"Ohhh, uhh. Please don't make wild assumptions and concluded it on your own. You know, I just happened to observing the school grounds and suddenly he entered my field of vision. How do I say this... um, he is attractive? As an object, of course. He can make a nice drawing material, or model!". Chii explained dutifully while moving her hand to emphasize her point just like what she did while answering in their classes.

Despite her elaboration on 'object' thingy excuse, Araa couldn't hide her excitement as all she heard was the word 'attractive' coming out from Chili's mouth. That was the main point here! . Finally, someone considered attractive in her friend's eyes! She danced happily on her head for that.

"Oiiii, why are you laughing like a fool? You must be thinking about something weird again, mustn't you? Quit it, shh". Chii deserted her book, grabbing her friend's shoulders then swaying them back and forth to make her back to her senses.

"I just praised the God, my dear friend, to finally opened your eyes to the new wonderful world! Hahahaa" Araa giggled, trying to escape into the classroom as Chii's hand started to jab her all over.

Chii gave up. She hate sports after all. She didn't have any spare energy to run after her.

Looking back to a certain direction, Chii thought about what Araa just said while taking her strides into the classroom. Object of romance, huh. When that person suddenly looked back on her way, Chii froze and stopped her step immediately.

Feeling a strange rush of adrenaline, Chii turned around, leaving her question and the strange wave on her brain unanswered.
