22 22) TRUTH OR DARE (I)

Months passed by quickly and soon all of them were in grade eight. As in the previous year, Cecil got first position in class again while Aerial was second. Cecil and Samairaa did well in maths thanks to that tuition class but they stopped since they transferred to grade eight. But still Cecil, Noah, Samaira and Katherine were close friends. Like in the previous year, this year too Cecil and Noah were deskmates. Katherine and Samaira sat on their back.

It was a break time when Katherine called Cecil and Samaira for an emergency meeting. They all gathered in one corner of the garden and sat down. Looking at Katherine's excited expression, both Cecil and Samaira guessed it might be a piece of happy news. Katherine sat between them and said, "Guys, I've got a good news for you."

Cecil and Samaira were both curious and asked together.

"What?"

Katherine lowered her head showing a bashful expression. It was like she was avoiding to look at them.

"Umm... it's actually, I made a b-boyfriend."

"What?" They shouted together.

"Shhh... low down your voice." Katherine whispered.

"Really!? Who?" Samaira asked.

"Which class is he in?" Cecil asked.

"Wait! Wait! I'll answer your questions one by one. Actually his name is Lucas. He is the same age as us, 16 and he is really good looking and kind. He is in grade eight too but he studies in a different school."

"He's in next school!! How did you know him then?" Cecil asked.

"Through Facebook. I had requested my parents to buy me a cellphone and made a Facebook account. I met him there."

"Did you guys meet?" Samaira asked.

"Yeah, I met him last Saturday."

"How did he asked you out?" Samaira again asked.

Katherine's face was already red and hearing this question she turned even redder. She answered, "He asked me out through text after chatting for about two months. I also had a good impression of him so I accepted."

As a teenage girl, Katherine and Samaira sunk down in their gossips of love. Cecil was also really happy for Katherine. He was surprised at first thinking she gave up on pursuing Noah... but later sighed in relief thinking he wouldn't have to fight with his best friend for Noah.

Cecil also wished he could talk with Noah every day. It was because after Ms Ava left the school, he couldn't study with Noah. He also wanted to have a cell phone to talk with Noah but his mom never agreed. She only agreed to give him a cellphone after he passed his tenth grade. It was still a long time.

Later that day, one of the teacher was absent so the class was vacant. Their discipline in charge and told them to self-study. But who does that? They weren't normal students if they actually self-studied. Instead Cecil, Noah, Aaron, Marcus, Samaira and Katherine decided to play truth or dare. They sat together roundly to play this game. Truth and dare was a simple game of embarrassment. They would first rotate a bottle or a pen between them and whoever two person it points to will do the task. One of them will ask truth or dare while the other one chooses. If they chose truth, they had to answer the truth to the question asked by another regardless how embarrassing it was. If they chose dare, they had to whatever the dare given by another. It really was a fun game to play.

Katherine took out the pen and put it in the middle. She then said, "I'll rotate the pen. The one who gets the end will ask the question while the person who gets the nib pointed to them will have to answer or do they dare.

Ok, now I am rotating."

The pen rotated and slowly stopped. The nib was pointed at Aaron while the next end was pointed to Noah.

"Truth or dare?" Noah asked.

"Dare." Aaron answered.

"Hoh..... then kiss the person to your left." Noah ordered.

Aaron looked at his left and saw Marcus. His eyebrows twitched seeing Marcus's crappy smile. He closed his eyes and kissed on Marcus's cheek.

"Chu."

Aaron kissed. "I am gonna vomit. Noah, that wasn't a good dare." Marcus said grumpily rubbing his cheeks.

Noah just snorted listening that accusation. Next, it was Samaira and Marcus's turn.

"Truth or dare?" Marcus asked.

"Truth."

"Do you have a crush in our class?"

Samaira was silent for a while and replied, "Yes."

All of them were surprised especially, Cecil and Katherine. They always shared all of their secrets but Samaira never shared anything about their crush. He wanted to ask who it was but kept quiet.

It was then Cecil and Katherine's turn. "Truth or dare?" Cecil asked.

"Truth." Cecil didn't know what to ask. Then he asked, "What is the grossest thing that you had in your mouth?"

Katherine thought for a while and said, " I had ate fish's eyeball. It was so gross." Katherine's expression was very distorted.

"Ewwww." Everyone said.

Again, it was Marcus and Katherine's turn.

"Truth or dare?" Katherine asked.

"Dare."

"Go to the next row's first bench and there is a girl named Mina. Compliment her."

"Yeaahhh, now this is the dare." Aaron said excitingly.

Marcus stood up and went to the next row's first bench. They all looked at him and were controlling their laughter.

Marcus stood in front of a girl with a long hair and said, "Your hair is really pretty. It's silky and always shines." Mina was confused by the sudden compliment and said, "T-Thanks."

All of them were laughing lowly sitting in their benches. Marcus turned around and saw them laughing at him. By the time he returned back to his seat, all of them started to shout.

"OOOOOOHHHHHHHH"

"WOOOOOOOOOOOOH"

Marcus rubbed back his hair from his forehead like an actor and sat down. Katherine again rotated the pen. Then the pen finally stopped pointing Cecil and Marcus.
