10 10) DECISION

Cecil was alone when he reached home. Bella was at her job while Cain was still in school. He went upstairs to his room and directly laid on his bed taking off his glasses without changing his sports uniform. Today he was very tired and restless just by thinking about what happened in school.

Cecil was absolutely hurt after listening to Noah's words which directly pierced his heart. Of course, he couldn't blame Noah too. It was him who fell in love with Noah at first and the first one to fall in love always loses. He couldn't do anything if Noah liked girls. Noah only looked at him as a friend. His eyes were really gentle while looking at him. What would happen if he confessed his feelings to Noah? He didn't even want to think about it.

Just imagining Noah looking at him strangely with disgust in his eyes made Cecil shiver in fear. It was like thousands of needles slowly piercing his heart one by one. He felt like someone had taken out his heart and crushed it. He was afraid, afraid of Noah's feelings, afraid of his mother and his brother, afraid of his classmates and afraid of society. Will he have to live all his life hiding his feelings deep inside his heart? Would his feelings for Noah fade away if he tried to fall in love with the girls?

Thinking all these things made his headache in pain. He had come home alone to rest peacefully but instead was thinking these stupid things. He tried to rest slowly closing his eyes. He didn't know when but when he woke up, it was already dawn. He changed his dress, put on his glasses and went out of his room. He looked at his watch, it was already 5 pm. Cain had already arrived and was watching television. Bella had yet to arrive.

Cain was sitting on the couch and watching tv when he saw Cecil coming downstairs.

"Brother, why did you leave the school early?"

Cecil also sat beside Cain and answered, "I wasn't feeling well so, I left early."

"What happened?"

"Just normal headache."

Cain looked at his brother worriedly and asked," Are you feeling well now?"

Cecil felt bad for lying but still said, "Yeah. I am feeling good after resting."

"Then it's good. I've made noodles. Let's eat."

"Um."

The next day at school, Cecil was walking in the hallway alone. Noah also saw Cecil and immediately ran after him chasing Cecil. As usual, he patted Cecil's shoulder from behind before calling him.

"Hey, Cecil."

Cecil turned back and smiled at him.

"Hi, Noah."

Seeing Cecil not avoiding him like yesterday, Noah felt pleasant and immediately put his arm around Cecil's shoulder.

"Today I have the final match. Come and cheer me, okay." Noah requested before Cecil changed his mind.

"When is your match?"

"At 1 pm."

"I'll be there."

Cecil was acting normally today because he had already made up his mind. He could neither give up on Noah nor could directly avoid him. He thought let time take its course. He would be with Noah until Noah needed him. He wouldn't hope for more. And when Noah finds his girlfriend, he would...

He would just congratulate them.

Today Cecil also had a singing competition so, he went to search for Katherine saying goodbye to Noah. Sure enough, Katherine and Samaria were sitting under the tree surrounded by boys. It was not wrong to say those boys were actually trying to court Katherine and Samaira. Well both of them were beautiful enough to be admired by the boys.

"Hey, Katherine. Let's go. Our competition is starting soon."

Katherine stood up along with Samaira. Samaira didn't have any games today so, she came with them. The hall was full of participating and other students. Cecil, Katherine and Samaira sat together on the front. The competition started soon.

It was Katherine's turn before him. She went upstage and started to sing after introducing herself. She sang 'Because of you' by Kelly Clarkson. She had a sweet voice and sang in tune. After she finished singing, everyone cheered loudly for her. She thanked everyone from the stage and came back to her seat.

"You sang beautifully." Cecil complimented her.

Katherine smiled and said, "Thanks."

At the last of all participants, it was finally Cecil's turn. Cecil stood up and went to the stage. When he was standing on the stage holding a microphone in his hand, he saw Noah sitting on the last seat looking at him smiling.

Ba-dump!

Cecil's heartbeat was loudly after he saw Noah. What was Noah doing here? He was sitting together with Aaron and Marcus. Cecil felt like he was suffering from stage fright. What if he stuttered in the middle? He hadn't really practised singing. Deep down in his heart, he wanted to impress Noah too. Will he be okay??
