4 Just A Friend

The next day at school

"Really, Isla? You spent the whole day with August. Is it true?" ask Davina, who can't sit still due to excitement and curiosity.

"Tell us. How did it happen?" Celine ask Isla as she is also filled with curiosity.

After hearing out Isla, Davina whspered with a smile "I think August likes you too." Isla was amazed by Davina's words. "It will never happen, Davina. Don't just jump to conclusions. I'm so far from his type" replied Isla, looking a bit nervous. "Don't be so modest, Isla. To speak the truth, you are so good for August. He didn't deserve you" said Celine, with a serious face.

Isla smiled and said "Don't say that, Celine. Also it's not that I'm modest. It's simply because I knew him well. Maybe one day, if he ever finds true love, then that person will be able to change him."

"What if that person is not you? What will you do?" Celine ask Isla, staring at her. "I never expect to be that person" Isla answered Celine with a low voice.

The teacher came in and the class begins. Celine question remains in Isla's mind.

August classroom

August was sitting with his best friend, Dylan.

" Dylan, did you ever see me as a loving and caring person?"

Dylan looked at August with an astonished expression.

"Hey! That's ridiculous. Why did you ask me such question?"

"Then did you ever think I had a loyal heart?"

"What's gotten into you today? You keep on blabbering nonsense. Are you sick or what?"

"Forget about it. Why do I bother asking you? You're helpless."

August turns away, looking disappointed. Dylan follows him.

"Hey, August. Why are you so serious? And who says those things to you? Is it a girl? Tell me."

"Nothing. Just a friend."

"Just a friend. What kind of friend makes you behave like this?"

August doesn't respond and keeps on walking.

Dylan pulls and drags August and said "Hey! Why didn't you answer me? Hurry and say it!"

Still, August doesn't answer and simply smile.
