Walking through the streets, two young men of different build walked towards the center of the city B. Kagaki was taller than his friend Koichi by a full head, towering over him with a grin. But the Electrician didn't care. Right now, he wanted to cheerfully celebrate his future promotion to the Guild. Both Esper Players have been striving for this event all year, impressing everyone else with their fastest growth. Of course, Koichi often just sat in the office and reaped the benefits of his friend. But Kagaki didn't really mind, because he always provides him with all the information, preparing him for battles. Such a perfect tandem was doomed to success from the very beginning.

- Friend, look, the ice cream shop! The guy with the yellow spiky hair stopped, clapping his hands to attract the attention of Kagaki, who was deep in himself. Green-eye was still able to resume the work of his source today. Unfortunately, the psychic energy has become twice less. "All the progress in a year has gone!" he exclaimed with annoyance, turning his gaze to his teammate.

"Melon for me, please, and pistachio for my good friend!" Instantly, he moved to Koichi's display case, pulling all of his money out of his pocket. The salesman nodded to the guy and quickly handed him the ice cream. The electrician approached Kagaki with a happy smile, handing him a cone filled with a greenish dessert.

- Eh. Thanks. Let's hurry to the Esper Guild. I'm sure they've been waiting for us there for half an hour, " the brother of the number two Heroine in the world said with a little irritation, licking the product in a waffle cup. Koichi sometimes behaves too expressively, creating unknown nonsense. Knowing that he has a dedication ahead of him, he spends their time buying ice cream.

The two guys decided to speed up after all, reaching downtown B in twenty minutes. In the area of the metropolis, nothing was damaged, unlike the rest of it. People constantly move from one place to another, surviving on the last money that, thank God, is actively issued by the state. In the center, all the residents were in mourning, feeling sorry for each other with sad faces. The two Espers who were there on business stood out from the crowd, drawing attention to themselves. "Our world is too cruel. I need to become much stronger, so as not to lose Fubuki and Tatsumaki, " Kagaki thought, noticeably becoming more gloomy. In a short time, they were standing in front of a huge fifty meter tall building painted a brilliant black color.

"Let's go in," the green – eyed Esper said, stepping inside the Guild. Inside they were met by absolute silence. Only a short figure in a dark raincoat and with a gas mask on his face stood in the middle of the empty hall, creating a gloomy atmosphere. Both of the guys who entered flinched, felt a huge threat in him. On the upper floors, the various conversations of the workers and the whirring computers could be heard quietly.

"Kagaki and Koichi, right?" I, Ishiguro, am the first of the Deputy Heads. Follow me and pass the initiation into the Elite of our Guild – " a strange elderly man said in a raspy old voice, opening a deep passage down with telekinesis. The boys shrugged and went after one of the most powerful figures in the Esper world, managing to nod respectfully to their guide. "It's amazing. Even without performing a psychic analysis, I can feel a huge fire of energy in his body, definitely equal to my older sister!" admired Kagaki, knowing Tatsumaki's abilities perfectly well.

For the next thirty seconds, they walked up the dirty gray stairs, going straight underground. In the end, the whole adventure led them to a large complex of various rooms in which experienced Espers trained. It is interesting that among them just stood out particularly strong personalities that have long passed into the rank of Elite fighters. However, compared to ordinary psychics, they were few in number. Ishiguro led the two friends to a large, empty room. On the way, he gave an order to one of the workers, who soon appeared before their eyes with a muscular man of twenty-five years.

"Stop-stop! I got it wrong! It's a fucking woman!" – Kagaki was shocked with horror, caricaturing his emerald eyes. She had short black hair and a scar under her eyelid. She used purple lipstick to highlight her eerie full lips. The bulging muscles were killing off any semblance of sexuality in her.

– Her name is Tsuchiya. Green-haired guy, if you want to become a full-fledged Elite Fighter, then fight with her and win – " the short old man Ishiguro gave his sharp and unpleasant voice, nodding indifferently to the woman. Koichi patted his friend on the shoulder, feeling sorry for him in his mind. The electrician moved to the edge of the room, carefully waiting for the fight.

- Oh. Newbies? Fine, fine. I'm thrilled to have a new opponent. Green-eyed beauty, you better not hold back, because I'm going to break all your limbs! Tsuchiya said with a cruel smile, standing in the middle of the large room. Her voice was rough and callous, quite unlike a woman's gentle tone.

"Here we go," a strange old man in a gas mask gave the command with a perceptible coolness in his voice. After his words, a muscular two-meter-tall woman rushed at Kagaki, who began a duel with the research of her opponent's abilities. A wave of green psi power spread out towards Tsuchiya, analyzing her hearth. By the way, this psychic sensor is not available to everyone. For example, in a small family of a guy, only one of them is capable of such a thing.

"Whoa! It has two sources!" – Kagaki was surprised, after protecting himself with barrier layers. It turned out that his opponent has two foci in his body that supply psychic and life force. "Crazy!" the guy declared to himself, not understanding how such a person could even exist. The woman fed her large fists with two types of energy, breaking through someone else's defenses. Kagaki tried to avoid her blows, but she was several times faster than him, continuing to bring down a real hail of blows. The guy began to get angry, going on the defensive. He clenched his teeth tightly, beginning to feel pain. Tsuchiya used her psychic energy to break through his barriers, and her life force to harm Kagaki's internal organs.

- You! You! You! Protein freak, I'll burn all your eyelashes and hair! The boy shouted furiously, taking on a fiery form. The flames burst out in a massive circular stream, forcing the muscular woman to retreat at lightning speed. KAGAKU no longer control himself, giving off a fierce thirst for blood.

"You're weak!" Esper feeds on emotions and becomes stronger because of them. However, in your case, everything is different. Anger blurs your eyes, preventing you from fighting normally! Tsuchiya said, not at all offended by the guy's words. Next, she surrounded herself with a psychic barrier, beginning to rapidly transform. Her veins and muscles began to swell horribly. It grew several tens of centimeters taller, releasing a powerful aura.

"Control! Control! Emotions! Eat! Kagaki was torn in his thoughts, trying to calm down and come up with at least some plan of action. The next moment, Tsuchiya appeared at the boy's side. Her fist glowed with a bluish power that swirled with psychic and vital energy like Yin and Yang. His defense would definitely not be able to withstand such an onslaught. Suddenly, Kagaki's mind cleared. He never forgot his true goals. He needs to defeat his opponent to become a full-fledged Elite. "All for the sake of the sisters!" the boy exclaimed, hearing the sound of a break inside himself. His hearth, with its psychic power, was ablaze with a bright red flame. The source began to expand, becoming several times larger and denser. His anger and rage turned into fuel for the hearth, roughly speaking, breaking all available limits. Negative emotions enhance psychic abilities and stop interfering with the fight. The guy always tried to behave calmly and was afraid of his pyrokinesis, but now everything has changed.

"You lost," Kagaki replied in a cold voice, creating a colossal flame barrier around him in a millisecond. Tsuchiya's blow hit him, but it didn't hurt the Fire Esper. The woman was very surprised, not believing what was happening. The guy in front of her is learning too fast. Somehow, he had the whole situation under control. Tsuchiya activated her strongest form, in which she performed a fusion of two different energies, but still couldn't break the enemy's defenses.

From the ball-shaped flame barrier, four chains made of solid fire came out. Kagaki took control of pyrokinesis and opened up many new possibilities. Threads woven from psychic energy with the attribute of fire caught the stricken muscular woman, preventing her from retreating normally. Tsuchiya surrounded herself with psychic protection, but it was all useless in front of Kagaki's increased flames. Then the guy's barrier disappeared. He quickly jumped out of it. Surrounded by a fire tornado, he moved to Tsuchiya, who was completely open to attack because of the chains. Remembering all those merciless blows of the woman, the brother of the two sisters of the Heroines decided not to hold back. His fists glowed red. In one brief moment, his limbs changed, becoming several times larger and more powerful.

Ishiguro, who had been watching the battle with pleasure, smiled coldly under his gas mask. Usually, the old man does not attend such meetings with small Elite fighters. However, the guy with the green hair is a completely different type. Kagaki has great potential. His older sister is one of the strongest Espers in the world. This fact is quite enough for the Deputy Head himself to pay attention to it. Another spectator of this match was at first in a restless state. Koichi was genuinely worried about his friend for the first second of the battle. But now everything has changed. His teammate confidently dominates the battlefield and is in a hurry to finish with all the sparring.

Kagaki's fists carried the immense power of the fiery psychic powers. Tsuchiya was forced to watch in horror as his attack landed on her chest. In one millisecond, her barrier is burned by the pressure of the flame. The next moment, a cry of pain is heard throughout the room. Koichi felt a little sick, smelling the smell of burnt flesh. The brawny woman was thrown into the opposite wall with a bulky body, her back stuck there with a pitiful expression on her face. In the middle of her chest was a large, burnt fist print. "Wow. Amazing. I've become much stronger!" thought Kagaki, feeling that the amount of his psychic energy had increased several times.

- Well done. Finish her off! Ishiguro said in a raspy and scary voice, waving his palm. He activated his telekinesis and easily lifted Tsuchiya, sending her to the feet of the boy who was still burning with the remnants of his pyrokinesis.

"What?" Finish it off? Kagaki asked doubtfully, not fully understanding the whole situation. "I can't! I've never seriously harmed other people! My enemies have always been Evil Spirits! " - the guy wanted to say, but could not. Ishiguro created an eerie atmosphere in front of him. He couldn't contradict him. Kagaki was sure that the Deputy Head could kill him instantly. The short old man only silently nodded at his question, mentally tormenting the guy.

"Wait-wait!" Kagaki needs to kill her? Do you want him to break the law? I thought the Esper Guild was a noble organization, not a bandit lair! - Koichi got into the situation, which was very aggressive right now. Even his eyes glowed with electricity. He could barely restrain himself from walking up and hitting the senile old man.

"Kill him?" Heh-heh-heh. No, no, no. Just cripple it. If Tsuchiya was the winner, she would have counted all the bones to him – " Ishiguro laughed dryly, turning his attention to the guy with bright yellow hair. Koichi froze, hearing his own rapid heartbeat. The second-in-command struck all sorts of minds with one aura. The old man did not make any unnecessary movements, but he was a real terror to the Electrician.

– You don't have the determination to go all the way. Go away! Ishiguro added in a stern tone, bringing down invisible pressure on the two guys. "Damn it! It controls gravity. If he wanted us dead, he would have crushed us to a pulp in one second!" thought Kagaki, dumbfounded. However, the guy continued to stand firmly in place, not intending to go anywhere. Koichi gritted his teeth as he turned to leave.

"Kagaki, come on, it's better not to stay here, or you'll become a natural psycho!" Holding back his anger and electricity, he said. However, Koichi only met his friend's serious and determined gaze. The electrician left the room with a sour smile and went outside in proud solitude, knowing that his teammate would not back down now.

"Sorry, buddy, but we're different in some ways. You don't have a single life goal, unlike me," Kagaki said to himself, nodding at Ishiguro, who continued to smile coldly under his gas mask.
