5 You're my Fire Bride!

As Ying Yue removed the mask from Shui Jin's face which blocked most of it. She was awestruck the moment their eyes met. Shui Jin got lost for a few seconds in those beautiful pairs of eyes. Ying Yue approached him delicately and with her index finger touched the scar.

Shui Jin was lost in the eyes of the woman, who was entranced while grazing her finger over the scar, when reality struck him as he recalled that he shouldn't look directly into the eyes of a mortal.

Immediately he covered the right side of his face with his right palm and used his other hand to snatch the mask from Ying Yue's hand, who was still staring at him without even blinking. He stepped back and turned slightly to put back his mask. While tying it, he realized that surprisingly nothing happened to the woman.

"Why isn't anything happening to her? Wasn't she supposed to be dead by now? Who is this lady? Is she some kind of immortal goddess?" Thought Shui Jin and turned to her.

Ying Yue was still in her trance when Shui Jin grabbed one of her hands. This brought Ying Yue's attention to him from her own thoughts. She looked at her hand which was in a tight but gentle grip of the white haired guy. "You are not..." murmured Shui Jin and released his grip from Ying Yue's hand.

"I'm not a...what?" Inquired Ying Yue confusedly, staring into the emerald ocean blue eyes of Shui Jin.

"Miss, pardon me for my intrusiveness, but who are you?" Asked Shui Jin.

"Wait, this question should be asked by me? Who are you? Why is your hair white and why are you wearing such clothes? Why am I wearing these strange clothes?" Ying Yue blabbered whatever came in her mind. She held her head because of confusions that were flooding on in her mind.

Shui Jin found himself in confusion upon seeing the woman in front of him. His eyes slowly shifted to her bleeding foot. Gracefully he bent down on his knees and touched her foot softly however Ying Yue jumped immediately the moment she felt that unfamiliar touch. Shui Jin raised his head and noticed her confused and cautious expression.

"What are you doing? Why are you touching my foot?" Questioned Ying Yue and stepped back. The Water God stood up and then said, "Miss, your foot is injured. Let me heal it for you."

"It doesn't matter. Tell me where's the highway? I've to quickly run away from here before they could actually catch me," said Ying Yue, looking backwards.

"Highway? What are you talking about? Whom are you running away from?" Inquired Shui Jin, looking at her.

"Long story. Just tell me the way out. My mom and dad are waiting for me. Just tell me where's the way to run- I mean get out of here," said Ying Yue.

"This is the wrong path! It won't lead you anywhere," replied Shui Jin politely. "Allow me to heal your wounds or else it can get infected," said Shui Jin again.

"Huh? How? Are you a doctor? But your clothes and your hair are saying otherwise," muttered Ying Yue. Shui Jin gestured to her with his hands to sit on the rock which was present on their left. Ying Yue's foot was injured indeed and it was causing her a lot of pain which is why she complied with the White Haired God.

Shui Jin followed her. As soon as she sat there, Shui Jin held her foot gently and put his hand over the wounded part. "Are you a doctor?" Asked Ying Yue out of curiosity. Shui Jin didn't reply to her and therefore she pulled on his white hair strands.

"Ah," Shui Jin winced in pain and raised his head to look at her with a inquisitive expression.

"Ah, sorry. I thought you're wearing some kind of wig. But your hair is indeed white and smooth. I'm wondering how they are so long? I mean isn't it difficult to grow them. You have to be extra careful with your long hair," muttered Ying Yue while smiling until she noticed Shui Jin's expressionless face.

"Please continue with your healing process," said Ying Yue. Shui Jin again shifted his gaze to her foot and removed the white shoe she was wearing, followed by the white sock. Ying Yue was observing him intently when she saw a blue flame on Shui Jin's hand.

"Wh- what is this?" Murmured Ying Yue surprisingly. Shui Jin spread the flame all over her foot and observed that the healing process was much faster than it should be on a mortal being. Is she the fire spirit?" Thought Shui Jin.

Ying Yue was surprised to see that her foot was completely healed in a matter of a few minutes. "Woah!! You're amazing. Will you be my doctor? I can give as much as money you want," said Ying Yue with glistening eyes.

Shui Jin then grabbed one of her hands and put the sleeves up when he observed the wounds weren't there anymore. "You're a fire spirit?" Said Shui Jin shockingly when at the same time Ying Yue pulled his cheek.

He looked at her in confusion. "Sorry, I thought you have done some face surgery as it has no flaws. Who are you? What's your name? I thought you were an actor who actually acted in those historical dramas but you aren't. Who are you?" Inquired Ying Yue again.

Shui Jin didn't pay attention to anything she said. Instead he was happy that finally he had found the fire spirit for whom he had been waiting and looking for over 800 years. Immediately he stood up and asked her to wear her shoe. Ying Yue did as asked and thanked him.

Getting up and looking around, she asked, "So where are we going? Where's the correct path to get into the highway?"

"We are going to your place, miss," answered Shui Jin.

"My place? Okay, I'll take you there once we reach the highway," said Ying Yue when Shui Jin stopped her.

"Miss, there's no highway here. I don't know why you kept on saying highway but there's no such thing. I think you've hurt your head as I can see from the wound on your forehead. You have to marry me as you're the Fire Spirit- my Fire Bride," stated Shui Jin with a slight smile on his lips.
