1 Preamble

The city glowed, like a golden sunlight lost in a sea of darkness. Once she got closer, she could see the small details of a castle. The windows, lined with emeralds and rubies, stretched across the sun-kissed sections of the structure. She pulled out her camera, but before she could snap a photo, a large shark-like figure came rushing toward her. Forgetting completely about the wonders before her, she rushed back to her boat, which was waiting for her above water. The figure quickly shortened its distance from the frantic diver, and showed no signs of fatigue. She dropped all of her equipment to try and make herself faster, but to no avail. She looked back, desperate for a chance of survival. The creature was nowhere in sight, which led her to believe it was gone. Then, there was a bright light.
