2 Differentiate
((Y/N POV))
For some reason even staying inside a cell containing only me, the walls and a few dust bunnies somehow gives me a hint of relaxation. Like my usual life in the woods.
That Peppermint looking guy have the upper hand, he controlled the guards as if they were pieces in a chest board, he's probably the one who commanded those bananas to take fire guns and aim at me. Till they surrounded me and caught me off guard. Here I am sitting inside a dusty looking cell with only a few ice cubes in front, just something to play with.
It's a bit hard to adapt my surroundings, such a peculiar world. Maybe I really am dead. I don't know if this is heaven but I'm in a cell.. Can't believe heavens have jails too.. I guess I'm not entirely an angel since I secretly hated most of the people when I was alive... Maybe I deserve being in this cell, or maybe safer staying here than going outside with those unfamiliar beings, not sure who I could trust.. I may be strong , I may have knowledge about magic cause of moms book but I still have feelings. One start of a conversation might end in a strong bad emotion. I am worried.. Can those creatures do those too? The image familiar to humans? A fake smile covering all the bad emotions? Or maybe kind words covering their usual back stabbing intentions?
Are they gonna do the same thing towards me?. If so then I better of staying here. I'll pretend this is my room and the dust bunnies are my plants. Heh am i supposed to eat and plant dust bunnies now? Pathetic..
"Oh my glob!!" I heard a guys voice from behind me so I immediately turn to face the creature.
Woah he seem like a human except he looks a bit childish since he's wearing that white bear looking hat, yep he ain't human, dang how can I be so sure he is a HE?! There is a beautiful pink lady . Guess she's an alien from planet mars? Mars is red right? So the creatures who live in Mars might be pink. And ... OH MY GOSH IS THAT A CUTE LITTLE YELLOW PUPPY?!
I look into its face and all I could think about is admiration. It's so adorable. I always wanted to have a puppy!!
"Is she the Ice Queen?!" The dog talked... MAYDAY MAYDAY THE YELLOW FUDGING DOG TALKED! I REPEAT Y/N , IT'S AN ALIEN EITHER!
"ALIENS!!" I pointed at all three of them
"Wha? Aliens? We're not aliens" The white hat guy answered me but I won't let my guard down. Aliens love to lie based on the movies I watched back then.
"PB.. I guess she's influenced by Ice King's power. She does look identical to him.. Must be Ice King's new wife.." The yellow dog alien spoke again! My insides are starting to freak out. I can feel my intestines dancing already. God please don't let them eat me, I still need to have friends, work , future and family here in this uhmmm heaven? Or is it hell?. But the yellow dog mentioned the cringe name Ice King then my intestines started barking.
"I'M HUNGRY!! I mean.. Ehem I'm not Ice king's wife! Why would I be related to the person who betrayed me?! He is kind before and I treated him as a friend but DA FUDGE he betrayed an innocent creature like me! I was just trying to find a place to relax AND NOW I AM FUDGING HUNGRY CAUSE OF HIM!! I thought candies or biscuits could relieve the hunger but dang it made me hungrier!" The words just slipped in my mouth without thinking.
"Told you she's as bonkers as Ice king!" The yellow dog said in between laughter while hitting the white hat guys arm.
"I don't know Jake. She might be angry cause of Ice King." The white hat guy talked to that dog, I guess his name is Jake huh? That white hat guy seems gentle though, but who knows? Maybe he's hiding some bad motives deep inside.. I need to observe more.
"Finn. Look at her! She seems like a queen of ice! If she is Ice kings accomplice then the probability of lies is way too high!" That Jake seem to have the same trust issues as I am.. His voice doesn't suit his cute face though..Anyways he still disagree about my entire being.. Tsk.. That Finn guy started looking at my eyes intently so I glared at him in return, before looking away with crossed arms.. Hmph.
"Tsk such distasteful lady .. And ugly " The pink alien said which made me stand up straight.
"Who are you calling ugly YOU PINK ALIEN?!"
"I am not a pink alien but a bubblegum! Mind your words! Or I'll beat you up!" Wohohoah I guess the Pink alien is tough huh.
I gripped on the cells thin candy like bars freezing it entirely before kicking it, crushing the bars into pieces.
Finally broken the cell I was in, before approaching the pink lady and whispering to her ears. "I see you're going to beat me up, right pink alien? Then bring it on."
The Finn alien unsheathed his sword while the Jake alien held up his fists. Such amusing trio to protect the seemingly pink alien in front of me. Wait a minute.. I started sniffing on the pink lady's scent. She smell like bubblegum.. She is a bubblegum!. My finger unintentionally poked her cheek to see if she really is made out of bubblegum...
"You're Princess Bubblegum , aren't you?" I pointed to the pink girls face.. Maybe I'm being too disrespectful... I put down my hands and sighed.
"Yes" she answered without quivering from fear. She is in fact brave.
"Interesting" I murmured. How can candies be alive in this world?
"Can you lend me some of your hair princess? I'm getting a bit hungry here.. I tried eating the walls or the floor but it's too hard to chew plus I broke the candy bars ... I wish I ate the bar before actually breaking them..Hmmm If not for some bubblegum ... Well can you give me some food? Uhmm Please?"
"Alright I'll ask the guards to bring you food" The Princess answered my request and it made me a bit happy.
"Step back Pb she's dangerous!" That Finn guy is now in front of the princess, protecting her from me while his sword acts as their shield..
Seriously? I sighed again before returning to the cell, creating new bars using my ice magic. Basically I locked myself voluntarily. Better than venturing into the unknown world outside, at least I could sleep here. Plus free food.
The three of them look a bit surprised.
"What?" I asked while sitting on the floor with my legs and arms crossed. They soon stare into each others eyes as if talking telepathically.
"Pb I think she really is innocent" Finn broke their silence before the same banana guard entered the dungeon holding a tray of food. My eyes widen upon seeing how beautiful the meals are.
"Is that for me? Wow that looks gorgeous!" my hand made its way to the ice bars as I continue to appreciate the beauty of the food a distance away from my cell. The banana guy with his trembling hands push the tray closer to the bars. This time I break the bars again, pulling the tray inside before making a new batch of ice bars to lock me in.
"Woah I guess this Jail would not fit you, Ice Queen" The Princess announced yet I ignored it for a while as I dig in, satisfying my taste buds with the delicious food served for me.

((Finns POV))
What is she doing? I think she's strong enough to escape from here yet why would she stay inside the cell? No matter what she's still an Ice Queen. We can't trust her just yet, she might be lying for her life's sake... I think? I'll have to watch over this prisoner, she might harm Pb when we're not around.
"Woah I guess this Jail would not fit you, Ice Queen" Pb started to inspect the jail for a minute yet Ice Queen is not bothered by it.
Instead she continued eating the food with a satisfied expression and a smiling cute lips... Wait did I just said cute? Uhmmm To be honest her eyes are wonderful, her nose is cute, and her lips even though her skin looks pale and bluish like Ice king, it's still red and lively.. Overall she's cute especially when she smiles.. OH MY GLOB WHAT AM I SAYING?! SHE IS A VILLAIN, RIGHT?! Why would I say that?! Finn think about Flame Princess and only Flame Princess..
"Hey are you alright?" Someone broke my thoughts and it surprised me to see who it was.. It's the Ice Queen.
"Yes I'm alright Ice queen"
"You seem to be having a fight with yourself Finn the white alien"
"White Alien?" I asked rubbing the back of my head as I stare at her blue eyes. She sipped some of her drinks first before planning to answer me.
"Yes You're a white alien, well... Cause you're wearing some sort of white hat thingy, who knows what's hidden beneath that hat, maybe another face.. And that yellow dog is the yellow alien since he could speak even though he is a dog. Lastly Princess Bubblegum is the Pink alien princess" She pointed to us one by one while explaining the alien matter.
"Sorry to interrupt Ice Queen but you are mistaken.. We are not aliens. Me I'm just an ordinary princess ruling the candy kingdom, Jake is a magical dog who can speak and stretch to whatever form he can take and lastly Finn the last living human.." PB corrected her.
"Finn is a human? " the Ice Queen questioned PB .
"Yes last living human. Sadly not a single female human live to continue their species" Pb had a really serious look with her fingers under her chin.. But Ice Queen on the other hand has a surprise look in her face. Yeah Pb surprised me either but that's Pb, she always thinks about Science.
"Ehehem Well Ice Queen... How about you? Are you really the other ruler of the ice kingdom?" I asked Ice Queen in a respectful manner. Her gaze finally met mine and she started to think for a while. Maybe she doesn't really like Ice King even though she became his wife. After all she is wearing a crown identical to Ice King's.
"Seriously? I already told you I'm not Ice King's wife. Just a past friend and now a simple nothing." Her shimmering eyes was replaced by a blank one after she answered my question and it made my heart fell into my stomach..
"I see. Sorry for the misunderstandings Ice ...Uhmm Can I ask what your name is?" I waited for her answer to my question.
"It's Y/n... "
"Well nice to meet you Y/n" I gave her a smile to make her feel welcome.
"Guys you may return to your home now if you want. It's getting pretty late" Pb interrupted our conversation. She seem a bit worried though.
"But Pb"
"Don't worry about me Jake. She seem to be harmless.. Right Finn?"
"Yes Princess.. We can trust Y/n.. Uhmm Princess is Y/n going to stay here in prison? We can bring her to our tree house if you allow it" I asked Pb.. Knowing that Y/n is powerful , she can destroy everything especially at night, me and Jake can patrol and look after her every moves ... Yet the real reason why I came up with that request was cause of pity.. i don't know why I pity Y/n.. But her cell really look so dusty, actually all of the cells look dusty.
"Thank you Finn but I am fine staying here in prison" Y/n answered before sipping through her cup again, looking so relaxed
"Good idea Finn! You should bring her there! Till we found a place for her to stay in" Pb agreed.
"Pb?!" Jake insisted.
"Jake doesn't agree, means I will stay " Y/n giggled as if she's fine at the fact she's going to stay here in a dirty prison.
"NO! I-I mean.. You should go now Y/n .. Jake is just shy like most of the magical dogs around. Right Jake?" I can see Pb hitting Jakes shoulder with her elbow.
"Arf! Yes Y/n , you may come with us" Jake finally agreed but Y/n on the other hand furrowed her eyebrows while looking at PB..
"Come on now Y/n .. We can play BMO when we arrive" I said pulling her up.. She still have the same expression though

We bid our goodbyes and goodnight to Pb before walking through the hallways and out of the kingdom. Now forcing Jake to carry Y/n along with me.
"Are you sure Finn?"
"Yes Jake. I am sure"
"You two stop .. I can fly you know.."
"No .. Oh alright just hop on my back" Jake finally let her.. Why is he so against Y/n? I don't feel anything bad from her yet why is Jake acting this way?
Jake stretched himself from the Candy kingdom and into our tree house.
"Woah amazing! What a cool magic!"
Glad she's impressed. Jake giggled with a familar proud expression.
"Amazing. You look like a sausage when you stretch" Y/n added which made Jake lose his pride.
I tried holding my laughter.
"Just kidding. Well Sausages are indeed useful since it is a part of the Food Chain , well without food all of us won't survive for long, right Finn?" She took a short glance at me before returning her gaze into the front.
"You are an amazing magic dog Jake" She complimented him as I see them pat Jakes head with a slight smile on her face.
"I will forgive you for that" Jake pouted while looking away from her. They're both adorable right now so I can't stop myself from giggling.
"Anyways you guys, don't you feel weird knowing that a girl would stay in your house?"
"Wha? No.. Not at all.. Why?" I answered Y/n with full honesty. I don't know. To be honest I treat everyone as a friend, including my crushes so I don't mind living with an unknown girl, if she happen to have bad intention then Jake and I would lock her in our Prison. I always wanna try that new cage we got, it haven't been used for years.
"Well are you not feeling weird to allow a stranger inside your home. Specifically a girl stranger?" Y/n asked us with a smart looking expression on her face.
"Well are you evil or not? And are your Harmful or harmless?" I asked Y/n
"Not sure if I'm evil or not.. I just wanna do whatever is useful to me but right now I surely am harmless. I don't see any reason to harm someone who can be of use." she answered with honesty. She sounded like a villain though but she's right. Why would she harm the people who will help her find a home.
"Then we will trust you Y/n.. I hope we could be friends"
"I don't really know what friends supposed to do" She said without looking back into my direction.
"Guys we're here" Jake informed us. I hopped down before assisting Y/n like a princess. She hop towards me, luckily I caught her, yet her dress is too heavy to the point where I fell on my butt. She's on top of me and I could see her face so clearly.. Pretty..
"Oh sorry. I guess this dress ain't helping. Can I borrow some of your clothes Finn?" She requested while standing and pulling me up.
"W-well yeah. I'll prepare the things you can use. Be back guys.. Jake lead her the way" There I left sprinting to the second floor.

(3rd POV)
"Hey Y/n do you like Bacons?"
"Ofcourse Jake"
"How about pancakes?"
"I never say no to food"
"Alright lets go eat"
The two of them hurried in the kitchen where Jake cooked their favorite food in front of Y/n. Jake taught her some recipes regarding his favorite Bacon Pancake which made Y/n watch in awe, having to see a yellow dog flipping pancakes in a cool manner.
"Amazing Jake."
"Do you want to try?" Jake handed her the pan with one pancake sizzling from its hotness.
"Sure why not"
Y/n grabbed the handle but before she could flip the pancake, the temperature of the pan went cold including its content, leaving a frozen food in it.
"Woah, now we have ice pop for later" Jake became mesmerized by her power yet Y/n is not impressed at all, knowing that her ice powers can't be fully controlled. She can prevent disasters but some of her magic slips out sometimes especially when she's not thinking about it.
"Sorry I guess for now, I can't cook" She said in dismay. Soon both of them were attracted by a noise coming from the wooden ladder where Finn is actually climbing downwards with extra clothes in his arms, same as the clothes he's currently wearing and on top of his head a console like creature sits.
"Wow is she Y/n? She does resemble Ice King" The Game Boy looking creature jumps away from Finn and in front of Y/n.
"Woah that's a cute Game Boy" Y/n commented with admiration.
"My name is BMO, lady.. We should play later for now let's eat. Come now Finn" The creature named BMO smiled more cutely in front of the lady
Y/n went closer to BMO poking his buttons one by one, Bmo on the other hand is not affected by the girls actions instead he giggled as a response.
"I thought you'll be tickled or something" She said staring blankly at the Game creature
"Well I can laugh for you lady" Bmo smiled laughing cutely to impress the girl.
"Mind if I borrow Y/n for a while guys?" Finn asked the two before pulling Y/n by the wrist towards a vacant room.
"Here I brought you some of my clothes. You can wear that for now and use this room however you like" Finn smiled at Y/n..
"Finn are you sure it's alright for me to use it? It might become a freezer tomorrow. Is that alright? "
"I do have a burnt room cause of a guest but I never complained, for short it's alright Y/n .. Just feel at home" Finn said
"Thank you Finn"
"No probs Y/n. Join us later after you finished changing" Finn said before leaving the room and closing the door for Y/n.
Y/n is a bit worried if she could remove the blue magical dress since it is in fact made by magic. She tried changing and it works. She replaced her dress with the sky blue shirt, blue shorts and wear the same hat Finn wears, covering her long white hair with it.
While the three are eating their own share of bacon pancake, Y/n revealed herself . Their eyes widen upon seeing the lady wearing the same outfit as Finn and not to mention she looks stunning, cute and sexy at the same time. Finn started a fake cough to wake the others up.
"You can sit besides Finn, Y/n" Jake informed. She sat down on the chair next to Finn before Jake serving her a plate of Pancakes with slices of bacon poking from each sides. Everyone is staring at her as if they are waiting for her commentary. She put a chunk in her mouth and that's when her eyes sparkle.
"Woah Jake compliment for the chef!"
"Thank you, Thank you" Jake bowed three times. Finn and the others claps to ride his imitations.
"This is a really nice dream. I wish I wouldn't wake up anymore" Y/n attracted the three with her words.
"Y/n ? What are you saying? This is not a dream. We are real" Finn replied while turning to face Y/n
"That's what dreams say to a person dreaming. Too bad I am a Lucid dreamer. I can control my dreams" Y/n said but Finn was determined to prove his point so he pinched both of her cheeks hard.
"OW OW OW OW OWWWW! Finn let go!" Y/n demanded trying to shove his hands away.
"Sorry " Finn released her cheeks and she rubs her reddish skin.
"I guess I'm not dreaming. I don't regret punching him though" it reminds Y/n of the time she asked Ice King if she's dreaming.
"Punching who?"
"No one.. Just a fake Santa Clause" She murmured the last sentence.
"Anyways guys you can start playing and I will wash the dishes" Jake took the plates one by one.
"Need help Jake?" The girl offered.
"Hehe thanks but no can do you are a guest in our house so you should rest , you too Finn. It's been a long day ."
"Alright . Next time we'll do the dishes" Finn said.
"I'll go to my room now. Again thanks guys" she walked inside her room then shutting the door close.
"I thought she's evil" Jake said
"Yeah me too but it turns out we are wrong" Finn said.
"We shouldn't judge others by the way they look" Finn added.

((Y/N POV))
I have doubts these were all true but now I am certain I am not dreaming. The fact that I might be in heaven or hell are possible though but if I really am in heaven , I might be able to meet mom. The tears flooded my eyes again after flashbacks played in my mind like a movie marathon, not just any scenes but the fun scenes with my mom. It might be happy yet it leaves a strong pain in my heart
I need some fresh air. I peaked through the gap on my door, checking if they are still awake. Luckily they aren't so I went outside and sat on the grass near the door, calming myself down while inhaling the fresh breeze.
"Hey what are you doing here?" I was startled by Finns voice.
"Oh Finn. I was just thinking about some things" he sat down besides me and stare at the moon.
"Like what? What are you thinking about?" he returned my gaze with a worried one.
"Oh nothing just the thought of you wearing that hat all the time even before sleeping. I was wondering what's in there. Maybe Valdermorts Quirrel?"
"This hat was given to me by my parents. It's an important item for me, it remind me of them."
"Oh I see. "
"Who is Valdemort and why would you think his Quirrel is in my hat? Is he a Lice?"
"Yes he is a terrible huge case of Lice" I guess they don't know the Harry Potter movie but at least he doesn't have a Quirrel or Valdemort in his hat.
"Finn have you ever felt like you are an outsider in this place?"
"Nope. Why would I be?"
He's like a normal human . Like my schoolmates, they always have smiles on their faces whenever they talk to me yet back stab me every single time, I don't know whatever is in their minds. Can't seem to trust any humans . I don't wanna judge Finn but my experiences want me to.
"You are in fact the only human in this world. How do you feel about that?"
"Well I don't actually mind. Everyone is kind towards me except for the monsters ofcourse." He giggled.
"Do you trust them?" I asked again
"I do. They're all nice"
"Are you sure they're not hiding evil intentions?"
"Why would they be? I trust them. I always believe that People will treat you the same way you treat them"he said with a smile directed at me.
Yep he is an innocent ball of sunshine probably.
"By the way who is the guest you mentioned before? The one who burnt the other room. It keeps bugging my mind. You seem too kind to think of your owns sake, like prioritizing the rooms of your house"
"Oh that was Flame Princess. She's my girlfriend. She visits us sometimes and she uses that burnt room whenever she needs it. I prioritize her more than a room."
A ball of sunshine is going out with a literal fire. Such a hot relationship haha..
"Ball of Sunshine.. I mean Finn, don't you think it's wrong to let me stay here in your house when you actually have a girlfriend."
"Huh? Why is it wrong?"
Yeah he's literally super innocently clueless.
"Lets just say I am a girl too. When your girlfriend see me, she might think I'm a hindrance to your relationship and burn you and me alive" I said with hand gestures.
"Huh why would she do that? She won't do that"
Never mind I think he's too innocent to actually think of that. I'll just hide myself in case the certain Fire girl appeared.
"Well Y/n don't worry too much and sleep okay?"
"Alright Finn. You too . Don't worry I won't escape. I see no point on escaping" I said
"Woah how did you know? Well actually I have two thoughts. You might escape or you're sad.. But sorry for treating you like a prisoner a while ago"
"It's alright. I'm used to it" After I said those words I felt strong arms are wrapped around me.
"Woah cold" Finn said while hugging me. My eyes widen at his action. Why is he hugging me?
"I just thought you could use some hug. If you need a listener, just call me" Finn retreats his arms and stood up
"Goodnight Finn and thank you" for some reason my lips curled into a smile. I probably wanted to thank him for his kindness. For once someone shown me true kindness.
"Good night too , Y/n" he went inside the tree house.
Maybe I should try trusting this guy.
