4 Burning Death's Prince

((Jake's POV))

Oh my glob Finn must be suffering internally with that burning pain. He's unconscious but me and Y/n can see how his eyebrows twitch from time to time.

"What do you think Finn regrets?" Y/n suddenly brought up a question.

"Not sure, maybe about not giving enough affection towards his current girlfriend?"

"That's weird cause this morning Flamey and Finn seems to be too sweet enough for anyone's eyes to burn with passion" Y/n sat on the small space on the sofa near Finn's feet as she stare worriedly at him.

"Let me ask you a question Y/n. What are your thoughts about Finn?"

"Hmmm not sure. He's a probably a ball of sunshine which suits Flame Princess that much, cause they're both hot.. They might burn everything with their brightness along the way. "

"Is that all?"

"And lets say Finn is a really nice person. He's kind, caring, friendly and positive. Mostly the complete opposite of myself probably.. He's the first ever person who shown me a hint of kindness.." Y/n look into Finn's face with sadness in her eyes.

"Jake I wish Flame Princess would arrive soon. I don't like seeing my first ever friend to endure such pain"

"Me either"

"~She's near~" We heard a tiny voice coming from Finn's bag on the floor. Don't tell me it's the minion?! The front Door slammed open revealing a familiar eye catchy figure.

"Greetings ! Where is my beloved?" Flame Princess asked all of us. Seeing her face made me flinch from disappointment. Like really. I never like her ideas.

Y/n left the sofa and sat on the chair near me to avoid getting in touch with the hot-headed princess.

"He absorbed the Burning Death illness while we're searching for some treasure a while ago" I told her what happened.

"I know, no need to explain. I've seen and heard everything from my minion" Before anything else, FP knelt on the sofa and on top of Finn with her flaming hands at both sides of Finn's ears. She's planning to kiss him again!

"FP please refrain yourself. Finn's unstable, the illness might grow worse!" I tried stopping her .

"He's regretting the times when he didn't give me the affection I needed. This must be the only way to break that ridiculous illness , by connecting with him, means kissing him!" she does have a point. Sorry Finn. Me and Y/n wants you cured so we're letting her kiss you.

Soon she stooped down and kiss Finn's lips with her eyes closed and blushing cheeks.

A minute passed yet nothing happened, Finn is the same. He's still not cured. Now there is a slight burn on Finn's lips. Oh buddy, I'm sorry.

"ARGH!! Why is it not working?!" FP screamed , throwing tantrums before kissing Finn again. Still nothing happened, he's still laying there with closed eyes , uneasy expression and reddish skin.

"Argh! I need to ask father about this. He knows everything about fire illness . Be right back" FP flew out of the house leaving me and Y/n dumbfounded.

"Y/n care to remove the fire in the house?" I asked her nicely and she gave me a thumbs up before putting out the fire with her snow magic. That gives me an idea!

Burning Death is fire. Maybe what it needs is something that can put out fire, which is water or better.. ICE .. Also how can I forget about Y/n?! Finn tried his best refraining himself from talking to Y/n.. It must be her!! She's the person Finn wants to regain.

I took FP's minion and locked it inside a box made out of rocks so it loses its ability to see or hear things. I can't let anyone interrupt something I planned.. Then let's start.

"Y/n , you haven't put all the fire out.."

"Huh? But I already did. I can't see a single fire in your house? Did I missed something? Then where is it?" She asked with a slight doubt written in her face looking for a fire under the aplliances.

"No Y/n.. It's Finn! You are the key to his cure! FP is right about the connection though, a kiss really does connect distant hearts to each other! So you should do it"

"Wait a minute Jake.. You're pushing me to give my first kiss. And why would I be the reason for his resistance? "

"Y/n calm down.. It's for Finn.. My brother and your friend.. Please for a caring friend who needs the most of anyone's help right now, would you mind sharing one incy wincy kiss?" I'm trying my best to convince her. She took a short glance at Finn first probably thinking about what i said..

"J-just one... For a friend in a worst situation" she went closer but not close enough.

"Y/n. You should do the same thing FP did. Go closer and over Finn"

"Jake that's too embarrassing!"

"Quick before FP returns!"

She did as I say, she hovered over Finn. She might be an ice creature yet I can still see her sweat dropping on her cheek.. Why the hold up Y/n?

"Y/n just kiss him" I requested again but she kept staring at Finn's face.

Is it just me or is Y/n seems to be amused by Finns face right now, it's like she's starting to admire Finn.. Let me guess .. She's probably thinking of how handsome Finn was.. Oh glob she just realized it now?!

"Oh come on Y/n.. Just do it" I'm trying to push her head towards Finn forcing her to kiss him already, to end Finn's suffering.

"Jake!! You're literally becoming too PUSHY! Calm down. I'll do it okay! Geez."

"Okay" I answered with a smile.

She soon closed her eyes leaning down slowly till their lips finally collided. The room started to become colder.. I don't know why I ship these two. They're so adorable.

"Did it work?" I murmured to myself as Y/n is still kissing Finn..

There is PROGRESS!! Finn's skin started returning to its original color. His eyes flutters open from the kiss yet soon he intentionally closed it again .

Their lips haven't been parted, now I see Finn placing his hand on

Y/n's cheek, pulling himself up and closer to her. I can't believe what I'm seeing! Finn's continuing the kiss!! And , AND he's actually nurturing the moment!

Wait is he half awake? Cause Y/n literally is too awake right now! Her eyes grew bigger noticing Finn's sudden awakening and movement! She's probably surprised knowing she really is the reason for his restrains. I can see how stiff Y/n is now fu fu fu.. So cute..

Then Finn parted before immediately falling asleep back again, leaving Y/n in a dumbfounded state.

"J-Jake p-pull me away from here!" Y/n is having a nervous breakdown so I stretched my arm, pick her up from the sofa and placed her on the floor besides me.

"I-I'm dying!" Y/n said trembling as her head was planted on the floor. Oh my glob is it possible? Y/n is blushing right now, isn't she?

"Y/n. Your face is red" I giggled.

"Shut up.. But d-do you think F-Finn is alright now?" Y/n asked while keeping the new memory aside. Pft. She's so cute.

"Yes Y/n.. His skin tone reverted back to its usual color and his breathing became normal. So I assure you he's fine, just let him rest for a bit" I reassured the worried girl

"I'm glad.." She stood up and sit on the chair near me again. She must be exhausted from all the nervous breakdown.

"Okay I'm back! Sorry to keep you waiting. Father told me burning him in lava might cure him. Risky but there is a chance" FP came back with a bucket of lava in her hand.

"FP . Finn's okay already" I shouted while blocking FP's view.

"Must be my kiss being effective, just delayed!"She said happily as she hops from excitement heading towards Finn.

"Finn wake up! " FP shook my sleeping buddy. If she really is a kind princess, she should let him sleep for a while, like what Y/n is doing.

"Ugh my head hurts" Finn complained before sitting up looking around.

"Seems like you're okay now so let's go on a date" she pulled into Finn's shirt for a second. To be honest my temper is running short now.. Me and Y/n just respects Finn's decision so we can't do something reckless. Unless Finn give us the permission to kick butts.

They were walking towards the exit now, luckily FP's leading the way.. Glad she did not see how Finn looked back to where we are.. His eyes even if it's just for a second, I can see a hint of worry. I made a peace sign to cheer him up effectively.. Finn nodded as a response for my actions before he closed the door behind him..

"Jake , I'll just head out for now.. Don't worry I'll make sure not to meet those two along the way so I'll use the back door" Y/n asked her permission.

"Want me to tag along?"

"No thanks. I wanna roam the place you know. To have a little breather"

"Okay Y/n just take care and come back after an hour" I said yet Y/n suddenly took my hand. Her hands are cold!

"Jake thank you for everything "

"Why are you saying that Y/n?"

"Just wanna thank you haha. Be back" She said smiling. Phew I thought those words meant something like leaving permanently. And I think it's not an assumption but a fact

"Come back when you're replenished" I said knowing she wouldn't be back for long.

((Y/n POV))

I never knew this could happen. having new friends, living in a new place, gaining new enemies, and giving my first kiss to someone. Like love would be possible for me tsk, seriously impossible. I don't think someone might actually like me in a lover kind of way.

Now I'm passing through a couple of flower beds with amazing yellow flowers around, heh color of friendship or jealousy I might say. To my surprise some of those flowers are burning but I can't stop myself from saving their lives. I froze the flames for a minute before releasing my magic to free the wonderful yellow flowers.. I guess I can't stand seeing it burn , I can't stand leaving.. But it's for his sake. I don't wanna destroy anything.

Flame Princess might kill Finn if she ever see me hanging out with him and I don't want that to happen. I can protect him though, but for how long? He might end up protecting her instead of me since I am a new friend, which is easy to dispose, like back in my past with those classmates. I sighed my thoughts out.

"Why are there so many burning flowers here?" I was shocked to see an entire hill of yellow flowers burning. GAAH

"Quick before they burn completely!" I screamed as I started freezing every single one of them before melting the ice to free the flowers.

"I am not a fan of yellow flowers but yellow are still delicious" I was startled by a girl with dark hair floating besides me. What is she though?

"Uhmmm yeah.. I'm not also a fan of yellows, I prefer black or blue. It suits my personality better"

"Uhuh now tell me are you Ice King's wife?" again with those questions.

"No I will never be anyone's wife, nor will I be anything important in this world. ok?" Shit my sadness got a hold of me again, I hope her ears didn't caught that.

"I mean flowers! What kind of flowers do you like?"I asked nervously.. I tried laughing hard but I ended up failing since she have a displeased look in her eyes.

"Red roses are the most delicious color" I don't understand what she's saying but I continued walking further, she's following me though.

"Say are you lost or are you homeless?" she asked me with a hint of curiosity.

"both" I answered.

"You came from Finn and Jakes house, aren't you?"

"How did you know?"

"Well you smell a bit like them also I was the past owner of the house Finn and Jake has"

"I see. Your house is amazing plus original"

"I know right. Anyways you don't have a place to stay into? You can live in my house for a week. Just make sure to pay for your own expenses" She offered. Which is a good one especially for a person like me who doesn't know anything about this world.

"Well uhmm can you keep my stay as a secret for everyone though?"

"Ofcourse! Name is Marceline by the way"

"Yes . Y/n is my name. I love your style though. I always wanna wear those since the moment I got here but sadly all I could find is a set of princess clothings "

"I like you already, how about we hangout for a while Y/n"

"Sure will. You're the only girl who possibly likes me , most of them already pinned my name in the blacklist"

"Well the moment I first saw you Y/n, I already knew we are pretty much alike. Let's go in my cave home and watch movies!" She shouted dragging me along while we're both floating.

"Cave home.. I haven't asked you yet Marceline.. But can I ask what kind of creature are you? Are you a cave woman?"

She laughed loudly before wiping her tears of joy away. She's very pretty and cool looking. She also look like a rockstar or some sort, even her voice sounded like one.

"I'm a vampire.. The vampire queen"

((Jake's POV))

It's been 3 hours since Y/n left and Finn still not home yet. I was cooking some new food based on a cookbook I found in Y/n's room. She probably made it by herself, not to mention it is hand written by her.

"I'm home" Speak of the devil.

"Welcome home man..I cooked something new. It is called Omelete from someones idea.. Must be a foreign dish but easy to make. Would you like to try one?"

"Ah sure Jake. Great timing. I also brought some yellow flowers from my date with FP. It would look good on our table.."

"Did she burn some?"

"A few flowers and a hill.. Let's not talk about it anymore Jake."

"Did you put the fire out?" I asked while thinking about those poor yellow flowers. Yellow means friendship though. Burning them seems like you've burnt a bond with a friend. Y/n is Finn's current friend right now.

"No.. I can't. FP might get hurt by it. You know how fragile her stability is." As usual Finn will never do something that may hurt anyone even the ones who hurts him.. Such kind kid. I noticed Finn spacing out in a bad way again.

" Finn why so down, you've gone out with FP in a good way , right?"

"Yeah... Where is Y/n?"

"Are you planning to talk to her now?"

"I can't talk to her.."

"Hmmm. Anyways Finn are you well informed about what happened a while ago?. You catching the Burning Illness?"

"Yeah I know.. That time was the worst, it almost feel like I'm about to explode.. Well .. Jake is the minion here?"

"Nope I hid him somewhere thick and soundproof.. Anyway Finn the only cure is a kiss from the person who you wanna regain the most. Guess who your kisser and the one who saved you"

"It's my second kiss from Flame Princess"

"Finn you got it all wr..." He cut me off

" And Y/n saved me"

"It's not Fla.. Wait.. You're awake that time?" I asked Finn who seem to be having a really deep thought as he stare into the ceiling before he looked down on the floor.

"No my mind was asleep back then but I can recognize that cold temperature somewhere. The moment I feel the cold , the throbbing pain disappeared immediately.. I knew for the fact that only Y/n can do that kind of magic.. I woke up and see Y/n and... and.. ehem.. Tell me Jake... Uhmm are you actually watching that time?"

"Hmm.. Yes" The word Yes came out with a tiny sound cause I'm trying to hold in my squealing. I swear my cheeks are puffed up, and im sure I look like a chubby duck right now.

Finn's cheeks began turning red.

"Please forget about what happened Jake.."

"Hey man, why?" I asked out of concern for my ship.

"Cause I don't wanna harm Y/n"

"What makes you think you're harmful towards her?"

"Flame Princess hated Y/n so much. She plans on killing her while Y/n is sleeping so I don't have a choice but to obey her " Finn sat down on the couch before sighing ever so deeply.

"Sighing is bad man.. Well Finn not sure about this but I just wanna tell you.. Y/n is strong "

"I know but no one is strong while they're sleeping , Jake"

"Well" I can't think of a comeback. Y/n is the only individual who have the guts to prove she's strong and she can take care of herself..

"Jake where is Y/n? It's getting pretty late" Here goes the question I feared.

"Finn don't get shocked, okay?"

"What is it Jake?"

"I think Y/n will not return"

"Whaaaaat?!"
