5 chapter 5| Child

The aftermath of running away from the incident created havoc. No surprise, as she predicted this possible.

She caught sight of a few guards in the streets, alleys, and within the borderline of the kingdom. It became a big annoyance to beginning of new flusteration. From hiding her identity- to head to toe. Instincts itching to tell her to go the hell out of here in this kingdom.

To be free from the world, where this vessel of the original's body is trapped here in the walls.

Growing up watching anime and comics made her understand the shoes of the villains and villainesses. Who are lost hope fragments that can't be redeemed again. Living a life of suffering, nightmarish, and terrors.

Though characters, she felt their pain. Even playing the "My dear". She understood the villainess's feelings and the life as a noble lady. Can you blame a person who has loveless parents? Not able to know an ounce of love around her?

It is how life goes. People's mindset, which in her opinion; are the weirdest when it comes for their pleasure. Yet not bothered, for she's a human too.

As long as she pursues her existence to be hidden.

Though it'll take a while to be freed; she hasn't gained enough currency to afford transportation for her journey.

Ah… money is always a problem back in her past lives. Being poor again, huh?

She needs to take slow and steady pace. She shouldn't rush too quickly on the bumpy road, unless she wants to slide down in the hill straight to a deep empty hole. Where she has to build up or climb out from it.

The risk of continuously surviving to live. Like the days she was pushed down to the dirt, the lost bits of fatigue, body shaking inside, wanted to finally fall down to the ground: Yet she is unable to forget where she is at.

She looks back to her past training. Being in the military taught her rough edges, to be fully ready to go in the bloody battle field. She and comrades learned that. Becoming a fledged soldier, promised to serve and sacrificed in front lines.

It was tough for everyone back then. Barely breathing and standing. It's impressive she coped up quickly. Or else her commander thought she wanted to be tortured.

She is not going to waste her efforts and work from her past life now. She's going to use her knowledge and self-defense to protect herself.

Marga- or as Thorn grey. Watch the festival giving the fresh air, the amusement of joy as she stares at the full stream of people in the busy street with a jolly grin that rises near the eyes. Sales displayed along the street, hanging decorations splayed above meter from the ground in the wooded building, and a few similar games she caught children playing. this festival kept on going for the past 3 days before the incident happened.

Instead of solely focusing too much time on getting to full her hands with currency. Why can't she enjoy it a bit? And get to know inside the kingdom.

She slowly walks, taking her time to admire the busy street and families. She thought of her little siblings, her baby sister and little brother loved playing festival games whenever they were at Starcity. A paradise where fun festivities and rides that are never ending.

'Are they alright?' she questioned herself. Worried, despite not in the same parallel word. She can't barely forget her siblings, she holds them deep within her heart.

She can't help tearing to bits. She wants to go home and play with her siblings again! Why did she die so soon? God why?

Her thoughts broke by a small bump in her behind. Eyes looking and body turning, to see a child the same age, like her sister. " Are you okay." Asked the younger one. The small body of the child has the smell and dirt smudge up to low. Wearing a filthy rag and messy hair. Shading the color of the hair.

'Ah… is this child living in the slums?' staying her stare directly to the young.

The child passes limply away from her side and slowly goes. But Thorn stopped the young's escape.

"Are you okay child?" She asked again. The little one shadows to the floor, feeling the cold and shiver that is trembling in the child's skin. Did the younger think that she's blind in the young's doing?

"Why aren't you answering? It's rude to never answer back to your elders." The young are still shook at knowing that the older one is discovering the younger trying to steal. Eyes ain't leaving in the presence, pressuring the child to almost water.

The tense was stopped by the grumble sound. Thorn sighed, 'So this child is just hungry'. Scratching her head behind. "Poor you".

Child whimpered from the words spoken towards them.

Young felt the ground gone and tight around the hips. "Let's buy you food then." Confusing the young.

Thorn bought the child a set of bread and an apple from the stall, she took a glimpse. "Go ahead kid. Eat, you don't want to have an empty stomach eh?" She patted the smaller head.

The kid whispered something. "Again?" Leans into the kid to listen closely, "Why…" Thorn blinks. "Why?" She mimics.

"- Aren't you mad that I stole your money?" Whispered loudly. Thorn giggles, "Yeah, 'cause it's forbidden to thief someone's property-" brushing the child's bangs behind in earlobe, "-But you have a good reason to do that isn't? You should know that if you wish to steal a valuable item, there is going to be a great penalty that will come soon. Next time, you should be cautious." Pink met red. "Eat."

Watching the child scarfing food in the pouch cheeks, like it hasn't eaten for days. Finishing them in one go, "After you ate, do you have any place to stay kid?".

"No…"

"No? Hmm…", chin in hand. "Parents?" Young shakes its head. "Um… If you don't mind, I'll take care of you from now on."

"Huh?!"
