Chapter. 15. Helping hand 1.
Chub: "Aai thanks, it was a big help...but do you know what might be the reason?".
Aai: ".....I think...yes". she looked towards Belis and said.
Seconds later, with her eyes fixed on a direction, her complex began to change, hands shivering and she, lost in thought.
Chub looked at her, seeing her like that, he suddenly held her hands and shouted,
"HEY!..."
When Aai looked at him, he then said, "it's nothing. Don't start blaming yourself ...it's not your fault okay? You heard that!". he with a frowning expression spoke aloud. She nodded her head.
After calming her down, Chub asked her the reason and Aai just briefly spoke about the case in their school.
"it's related to her classmates,...I think!".
Before Chub could take any action Aai stopped him and said, "I would like Belis to handle this situation herself...".
Chub: "Aai...didn't you see her!".
Aai: "I'm speaking from a girl's point of view. I mean if you keep helping her...she will only remain like that for every situation she faces..moreover, it's among the girls of the same age..and...I'll be with her just in a case..if there's more than that...".
When she looked at Chub saying that, he seemed surprised.
Aai: "....Umm I'm sorry if I'm meddling...".
Chub: "No way it's just that...". as he was saying Belis calls out and runs to them.
Aai before leaving, pats Belis's head, "You...come to school".
Chub speaks to Belis while Aai was dropped off at her house by Chub's workers.
Belis since a child was a weak and shy girl. She spent her childhood with Chub's family in Goa then later lived in the country with her parents while her two years elder brother Marq stayed here for many years. She would return during her holidays. Marq wasn't much close to his sister but Chub and his elder brother Zerus were, especially Chub.
Belis has always been a fair girl with long silky hair and is mostly bullied or teased for her behaviour and looks by the other girls, so he always stayed with and looked after her.
He thought that with time things might have changed but seeing her this way now, reminded him of their past.
The next day, Belis came to school. Everyone in her class looked at her and chat. A girl stared at her and smirked. Seeing that Belis had a bad feeling.
As soon as it was break time Belis ran out of class to find Aai. While searching for her in the backyard, she gets pushed down.
: "How are you doing, my dear Belis! Where have you been? You know I missed you so much".
Belis: "Lezly enough! I've already apologized and we were done with that thing right?"
Lezly: "Done with? How could you even say that? We are friends, right? And after doing that how could you just leave me!?.
Belis couldn't understand what to do.
Belis: "Lezly, what we did was just, it was...it was for a mere moment and...mutual. And I'd already told you that, after that thing, we are over".
Lezly: "Belis you are lying right?". she chuckled.
Belis: "...!.."
Lezly: "Actually you are ....jealous! yeah. You are talking like that cause you are jealous that I'm with Aki, right!? Because I like him who got angry and left me and to bring me back, you went and seduced my Aki!". she spoke with a smile.
Belis confused, "Huh! are you kidding, and I don't even know who's Aki".
Lezly: "You. don't. know. Aki? THEN WHY THE HELL DID HE BREAK UP WITH ME SAYING YOUR BLOODY NAME!!?".
Belis: "How would I know?"
Lezly: "How would you know? don't act! You went and seduced him. You knew that I liked him, it's all your fault, how dare you you go near him, how dare you...." saying she started hitting Belis,
As it was going on, all of a sudden Lezly was grabbed by her clothes and thrown back.
"You okay!?"
Belis raised her head.
