13 012 UNEXPECTED VISIT [II]

"Yes of course."

"Ok." Li Chu nodded. Turns out Miss Fei was also not a talking kind too after all but rather an easy going. All he needed was for her to cooperate and she was trying her best.

Fei Shuang faintly smile as she looked at him, waiting for him to speak first. Surely her foxy therapist must have had a lot of questions to ask her.

Instead, Li Chu only looked into her eyes for a brief moment, without a single word escaping out of his fuller lips. Her eyes narrowed at Li Chu as she looked down.

'Why have a feeling like I've seen him somewhere? Such a familiar face, I'm sure of it.'

The last thought flickered through her brain but Li Chu on the other hand,continued staring at her as if he was thinking of something important.

Li Chu blinked twice and finally spoke after a long moment of silence, "Miss Lee, can I know a little bit more about you?"

'About me? Why take so much time to speak? Uhhrgg... this is boring..'

"Um.." Fei Shuang forced a smile, "Sure, but I don't really know from where to start."

"I see." He nodded, "You can tell me anything, i just want us to know each other better."

'Us? Better? Seriously Mr Shen!' Other relatable thoughts kept swaying in her mind.

"Ok, well uh.. " she paused wondering what she was supposed to say, but then she thought, she had to say something if she needed this foxy man out of her site. Infact, she was wondering if ZhenZhu left without saying goodbye. "I'm 26 years old and was born in Shanghai. My parents died when i was 14 so, my grandma raised me up. I later on moved to Beijing after finishing college and worked.. i meant i used to work as an employee at a company before i got fired due to some circumstances.. Um.. I'm not a social kind of person and don't like meddling with other people's affairs. I almost forgot, i love to e.."

Li Chu cut her in before she could finish the sentence, "I could see that you love to eat."

"Yeah." Fei Shuang nodded while smiling. Deep down, she was surprised how he knew about it. Maybe it because of the snacks she was eating earlier.....

"I'm sorry for your parents loss and i must say it must have affected your life at some point." Li Chu spoke up as he looked at her with his hazel eyes.

Fei Shuang blinked and said, "Yes.."

"Sorry,but you learned to move on with your life even tho it was a hard challenge right?" He said with a sign of remorse in his face.

"Yes." her tone changed, "I did." She tried to look cool and normal.

'How could he predict about my life? Was he doing his job and messing with my head.. No, i have to put at end to this discussion...'

"Oh." He said simply, "That's the spirit."

Fei Shuang looked away and grabbed the bottled water in order to escape his brain cracking questions. She sipped a little then return it to it's actual position.

Li Chu looked at his wristwatch and murmured a few words she couldn't hear. He later on reached for his pockets and stood up, then stretched his hand with a card attached to it.

I can't stay any longer because I've got some work to do. Here's my card, you can call me anytime you're ready for your therapy appointment or someone to talk to.. it was nice chatting with you Miss Lee."

"It was nice chatting with you too." She replied with a smile after accepting the card, "Goodbye then."

"Goodbye." He smiled back.

They exchanged farewell and Li Chu left.

"Huhh that was tough." Fei Shuang exhaled. "I better call ZhenZhu." She reached for her phone that was inside her handbag and dialed ZhenZhu's number.

*click*

ZhenZhu answered the call.

"Girlfriend where are you? Cold-stone is gone already."

"I'm sorry Bestie,i was called from work and had to attend an urgent meeting.."

"Ohh.. i see.. " Fei Shuang rolled her eyes internally. She knew ZhenZhu was lying because it was a saturday which means *work-free day*

"Bestie? What's wrong?"

"Um.. w-well, nothing serious.. it's just that girlfriend is starting to miss you.."

Fei Shuang sounded so helpless as she spoke.

She suddenly heard someone saying something, "Who is it!?"

"Bestie, i don't have anytime right now. I'm busy with work and will call you later okay,bye."

She did not give Fei Shuang time to answer and immediately ended the call.

All she could hear was the disconnection tone. She sat on the bed and didn't know what to do.

Fei Shuang silently looked at her phone screen that already turned black due to the minutes of inactivity. She stared at it for a while. There, she saw a reflection of her face.

Deep behind the pale face was a woman who's heart was torn apart. Who let go of everything she ever wanted and distanced herself from the modern day life. One look and people could tell that she was boring,in pain and needed love and affection from others.

Fei Shuang sighed.

She never wanted to be an antiquated[1] woman and indifferent. She only did it in other to hide herself from people with malicious intentions and to be faithful to her so-called boyfriend but, she needed to change. To be a normal girl, dress pretty in purple and gain more confidence.

To watch anime and horror movies in order to get rid of her fear for cockroaches! Hah, she needed to forget about Caofeng's existence in her life, to have a fresh start and be the woman she has always dreamed of.

'But who cares if i wanted to change? Nobody could predict but i need to try. For once in my life I wanna experience the beauty of life and live like every normal woman.'

Thus, finally, Fei Shuang decided to free herself from her nightmare and start a new beginning. She grabbed her phone and start reading her inbox messages. Her friends have sent tones of it including missed calls and voice notes. She felt really guilty for it and decided to reply to everyone explaining about the incident.
