11 011 UNEXPECTED VISIT [I]

After listening to Xiao Tian's advice,Li Chu decided to give Fei Shuang a visit. It was a hot afternoon as Li Chu entered the hospital building using his handkerchief to wipe off the sweat on his face.

He pressed the elevator button and patiently waited to reach to the forth floor but his mind was somewhere else.

"What should i say to her? How do i react? Should i be a bit nicer or just be myself?" He questioned himself. Based on his previous attitudes, he was not the talky kind.

He looked at the reflected mirror in the elevator and tried to smile.

"No, I look like an idiot! What do i do now?" He panicked a little because he could not find a solution.

'I need to focus on my skills and functions ...'

Li Chu thought about different opinions but still in vain. His mind was thinking of how to salvage the situation before he realized he already arrived at his destination.

At this moment,all he wanted to do is go back to where he came from but something kept telling him not to. He took a deep breath then gently opened the door and walked inside. To his surprise, Fei Shuang didn't even raise her head to see who it was. She was busy enjoying her snack. Li Chu tried to speak but couldn't find the words. His lips curved upwards which gave him a naughty look despite his cold and aloof facial expression.

Suddenly, the good atmosphere was destroyed by Fei Shuang who started to choke as she tries to reach for the bottled water that was placed on the side bed table. She finally managed to speak,

"Hel.... *cough* *cough* help me get the.. *cough* .. ZhenZhu.."

Li Chu hurriedly walked towards the table,took the bottle then reach for the bed. He hand it over to Fei Shuang who's eyes have already turned red.

"Thank... *cough* thanks... "

Fei Shuang suddenly stopped talking and quickly raised her head. Two beautiful eyes were gazing at her fervently. His eyes were shining brightly.

"Yisheng.."

*cough*

*cough*

Her face turned pale as if she was expecting somebody else.

'What is this foxy man doing here?'

She gently pats her chest with her left palm.

"Calm down and drink some water. You can call me Mr Shen." Li Chu added as he stared at her.

They both stared at each other without a blink. Fei Shuang felt suffocated. She didn't know why but she felt like the temperature of the surrounding suddenly changed.

She drank some water them later on, forced herself to speak.

"Doctor.....sorry.. i mean Mr Shen, what are you doing here?"

Fei Shuang asked while observing him sharply. He was even more handsome today in her eyes. His clothes, a sport coat and a shirt neatly pressed, nice tailored pants with a brown belt. He wasn't a model but he should have been.

"I'm here to see you." He responded in an authority tone.

"To see me?" Fei Shuang's eyes widened as she steadied her irregular breaths.

"Yes..." Li Chu answered and gave her a gently yet frightening look on his face.

'Ahhrrggg so creapy'

Fei Shuang thought. She wanted to dig a hole and hide herself from this monster.

How are you feeling?" Li Chu spoke as he noticed the sudden change on her face.

Fei Shuang felt like it was just a dream. She didn't expect him to be this nice. Her IQ dropped into two digits.

"I'm feeling great.. *cough* thanks for your concern." She spoke with a smile on her face.

Seeing Fei Shuang smiling down at him,Li Chu blinked as he faintly smiled back.

'Oh s***! Did he just smile at me? I thought he was made out of stone!'

Fei Shuang thought in her mind.

Li Chu sat on the chair beside her bed and continued to speak,

"I was actually wondering if you and i could get to know each other better....more like friends..."

Fei Shuang almost puked blood after hearing was he said. She couldn't help but feel anxious. Such an unexpected visit! Why be friends all of a sudden? Was he sent by someone?

Similar thoughts kept on racing through her mind. After an awkward moment of drawn out silence ,finally, she spoke,

"Sure."

Fei Shuang was busy lamenting to herself and was not able to see the suppressed smile on Li Chu's face. It was so fast and fleeting.

They were both interrupted by the sudden arrival of ZhenZhu who walked inside the room holding two cans of soda. Li Chu stared at her.

Fei Shuang took a breath of relaxation then quickly spoke out of anxiety,

"Girlfriend, what took you so long?"

"One of the soda got stuck in the machine and i had to get it out. Ahmm... i must have interrupted your discussions,Girlfriend i need to get to the bathroom..."

"But there is a bathroom here...."

Fei Shuang didn't get to finish what she wanted to say when ZhenZhu hastily left the room without dropping the sodas. She couldn't help but sigh at the situation.

ZhenZhu looked like she didn't know why she entered the room at such a time and decided to find an excuse to let them continue with their discussions.

Li Chu smirked as his thick eyebrows furrowed. He understood very well what ZhenZhu's intentions were.

Such an amazing excuse!

He only looked at Fei Shuang who was perhaps uncomfortable with ZhenZhu's departure.

"So... Miss Lee,are you okay?" He raised an eyebrow .

"Am i okay?" Unable to control herself, Fei Shuang blurted out the question while thinking if she really was okay with his visit at the first place. She only wanted to have a peaceful yet amazing day with her bestie but now she was stuck in this situation. Cold sweat started forming on her back. Fei Shuang was stuck at this point.

She finally looked at him keeping her nonchalant smile on her face, she spoke in a gentle tone...
