8 008 WU LI ZHILIAO SHI
1:50 pm, Beijing Jishuitan Hospital
A man got out of his car and walked towards the entrance of the hospital. He was dressed professionally clean in a casual outfit.
He immediately rushes into the hospital building and head towards the elevator.
ZhenZhu spots him as she waited for Fei Shuang's information at the reception.She couldn't help but admire his looks.
"Wow!" She said with a smiley-dirty face. He really was an alluring person in her eyes.
The man didn't bother and walked in and pressed the elevator button.
Suddenly, his phone rang. He took it out from his pocket and answered the call.
"Good afternoon Mr Shen!" A calm voice rang through the call.
"Xiawu hao![1]"
"Mr Shen,have you seen the email i sent to you?"
"No I haven't Doctor Xiao,I'm already at the hospital in the elevator right now!" The man responded.
"Okay, let's meet at Room 606 on the 6th floor. I'll show you her medical records when you get there."
"But...ok,I'll be there in a few minutes!" The man rolled his eyes.
The phone call ended and he repressed 6 on the elevator button. He took a deep breath with his eyes closed.
Some minutes later, the man finally arrived to the 6th floor and walked out of the elevator.
The hallway was crowded with both patients,janitors and nurses roaming around.
He then sets for room 606.
He was walking a bit too fast looking upwards when someone bumped into him,
"Oppss...."
The man looked down and saw a woman on a wheelchair. His eyes met with her dazzling brown eyes.She was indeed a damsel, quite beauteous and fine looking even in a hospital outfit.
He stared at her and said, "Watch were you're going."
"I'm sorry." The woman apologized in a soft way.
He watched her bow but he did not move. He just continued to stare at her.
'Xiao Tian must be waiting for me....I better get going!'The man thought in his mind.
With a weak smile,he sighed and hurriedly left.
He kept on walking straight while looking at the room numbers. He paused when he reached to a certain spot. It was room 606.
He gently grabbed the handle and opened the door. He walked in and saw Doctor Xiao holding a file in his hand.
"Doctor Xiao....."
"Mr Shen, you're finally here!" Xiao Tian smiled as he handed him the file containing her medical records.
He reached out for the file when Pan er came in.
"Doctor Xiao.... Mr Shen." Pan er bowed.
"I'm sorry for arriving late to work today. I had some problems i needed to sort out at home."
Pan er explained to Doctor Xiao why she was late for work.
"It's alright,the patient is no where to be seen." Doctor Xiao responded as he points to the bed.
Pan er exhaled as she thinks of where Fei Shuang might be.
Mr Shen collected the file and went through it . Suddenly, his eyes narrowed as if he was displeased with what he saw.
"As you can see Mr Shen, the patient's sacrum[2]is badly injured and there is a very low chance for her to walk again.....But i had to convince her not to give up. The most surprising thing is that she regained consciousness after the injury on her skull so i guess there might be a possibility for her to be on her feet,this is beyond the definition of science!
And for her personal medical information,I'll have to get her permission first!" Xiao Tian explained further to Mr Shen.
Mr Shen was about to talk when Pan er spoke,
"I'll go and look for Miss Lee now. I think she might be in the neighboring rooms or at the cafeteria with Xiao jie long[3]."
"Ok go ahead!" Doctor Xiao sighed, giving her his permission.
Pan er heads toward the door but stopped after she opened it. She started walking backwards in a slow mode.
"Nurse Pan...."
A woman's voice could be heard from the other side of the door.
"Why did you stop? What happened?!"
Doctor Xiao demanded but was surprised when someone pushed Fei Shuang into the room.
He stared at both of them.
"Miss Lee,where have you been?! He demanded as his voice sounded so serious .
"We were so worried about you...." Pan er added in a worry tone.
"I think we arrived at the wrong time."
ZhenZhu added as her brows wrinkled.
Doctor Xiao stared at the unknown woman then looked away.
Mr Shen who was at the corner of the room checking her file suddenly stopped and turn around.
"Doctor Xiao,Nurse Pan, I'm sorry for making you worried about me . I know how much you're concerned about my health .... I just couldn't bare sitting in one place. I wanted to....."
She didn't get to finish her sentence when she suddenly noticed the man standing at the corner.
"This must be a joke! It's you.....?"
Mr Shen said nothing and continued to stare at her.
"Who!" Both Xiao Tian and Pan er asked at the same time.
"The man in the hallway!"
Fei Shuang point towards the man by the corner.
"Ohh Miss Lee,meet Mr Shen Li Chu...he'll be your physical therapist."
Doctor Xiao addresses her to the so-called stranger.
"Wuli zhiliao shi?[4]" Fei Shuang questioned.
"Yes!" Doctor Xiao answered smiling.
Mr Shen slowly bowed his head with a smile.
Fei Shuang bowed back. She couldn't believe her eyes! He didn't look like a therapist at all.
In the movies she watched, therapist mostly wear black clothes as if they were part of a cult and found it creepy but he was totally different! He was wearing bright colors ...
