6 006 THE RESULTS

Early in the morning, the sunlight passed through the scattered clouds straight into the window, but Fei Shuangs mood was extremely bad.She was feeling very depressed as she laid on the bed.

She tried not to think about her past but it was the only thing on her mind. No, she needs to do something,maybe take some fresh air or watch a movie. Maybe call some of her friends and have a chat but then she remembered, she left her phone back at the apartment and her car keys including her purse.

"I'm doomed." She murmured to herself.

If only she could contact her closest friend Zhenzhu. She would at least change her mood and keep her company.

'I'm so tired of this place,i can't remain like this for ever! Not to mention that i can't move my legs, at least i need to observe the surrounding..' Fei Shuang thought but she quickly woke up when she heard someone was about to enter the room.

Excitedly, Fei Shuang closed her eyes to act like she was sleeping.

The door gave it's way and the food service staff came in while pushing the medical rolling table with food items placed on tray.

Fei shuang slowly opened her eyes and stared at the lady.

"Good morning miss." She greeted.

"Good morning." Fei Shuang greeted back in a sleepy tone.

"Can you help me sit up please?" Fei shuang asked while yawning.

"Sure."

The woman helped her sat up on bed.

"Thank you." Fei shuang smiled.

"No problem,it's my duty to assist you. I brought you breakfast." She replied as she adjust the hospital bedside rolling table over to Fei Shuangs bed.

Fei Shuang looked at the variety of food placed on tray. There were sandwich, potato chips, fresh fruit, morning coffee and a bottled water.

She ate as much as she could until her stomach was full.

The lady gently dragged the rolling table backwards and asked Fei Shuang calmly, " Is there anything I could help you with?"

"I would like to have a wheelchair,can you get me one?" Fei Shuang asked softly.

"Yes of-course, give me a few minutes." She pushed the rolling table towards the exit door.

Fei Shuang nodded.

Few minutes later,the food service staff came back while pushing a wheelchair into the room.

"If you need anything else gently press the little button on the left- upper side of your bed." She explained.

"Thank you so much."

"You're welcome." The food service staff responded softly.She left the room giving Fei shuang a smile on her face.

"I need to get out of this bed right now." Fei shuang reaches for the wheelchair when Doctor Xiao and Pan er entered the room.

"Good morning Miss Fei Shuang!" They walked towards her and saluted.

"Good morning Doctor Xiao,nurse Pan er." Fei shuang saluted them back.

"How are you feeling this morning? Doctor Xiao asked in a friendly tone.

"I'm feeling better,i just had breakfast." Fei Shuang explained.

"That's great! The test results came back and everything is stable,your vitals are all improving."

"I still can't believe that you woke up,this is basically a miracle." Pan er added.

"Doctor Xiao,how about my legs?" Fei Shuang asked eagerly.

Xiao Tian coughed and tried to look professional as possible even tho his heart was aching for her condition.

"Well..... *cough* as i said your vitals are improving, about your legs..... *cough* due to the accident your spine was a little bit damaged and that's the reason why your legs are not functioning."

Doctor Xiao could feel the sadness coming from Fei Shuang.

He immediately continued.

"But Miss Lee! Do not worry. With the help of our goodphysical therapist you'll be on your feet in no time. You just have to be strong and convince yourself that you can walk again."

Xiao Tian tried to comfort her.

Pan er secretly wiped her tear. She pitied her so much. What is Huang Jin did have s** without her conscience? She would kill herself!

After some few minutes of silence, Fei Shuang lips twitched ever so slightly as she responded with one word "Ok."

"Alright then,I'll prepare for the physical therapist right now! He would begin his job in a day or two and help you walk again!"

Doctor Xiao recommended.

After Doctor Xiao left, Pan er moved closer to Fei Shuang.

Fei Shuang was silent and didn't utter a word. She was terribly shocked at what Doctor Xiao said. How could she move on without her legs? This must be a terrible dream!

She was thinking so hard when Pan er brought her back to her senses, " Miss Lee, don't worry yourself too much. It's very bad for your health".

Fei Shuang blinked her eyes. She couldn't find the words.

"You're worth finding, worth knowing and worth loving. You and all your one million layers." These were the words Fei Shuang had been hearing all her life but now that she woke up from coma with paralyzed legs and has no job, can she really move on?

Having no response, Pan Er continued,

"That's why you have to be stong, didn't you hear what Doctor Xiao said that you'll be back on your feet with the help of the physical therapy? Everything is going to be alright."

"All is well." Fei Shuang murmured as she shook her head.

She could only swallow her sadness as she tightened her wrists.

Pan er grabbed her hand,trying to console her. Her heart was aching for Fei Shuang after realizing how terrible her life has been.

For once in her life she regretted the dirty work she was doing. Thank God Hwang Jin didn't do anything to her or else Fei Shuang might have killed herself!

Moments later, Pan er left.

Fei Shuang looked up at the ceiling as tears could be seen forming on the side of her eyes.

"Everything's gonna be all right, you can do this Fei Shuang!" She said to herself.
