1 Prologue

A shivering man wrapped himself tighter with his thin cloak. It had been ragged from the number of days he had traveled. It had also been torn at the end by a hungry wolf he encountered in the forest earlier.

Good thing, he escaped.

Woosh

Another strong gust of wind passed by, making him stand still for a while to hold himself.

He rubbed his hands together and blew on it. His boots were already half-buried in the snow. Thank God it was.

He would have been knocked down already if it wasn't for it.

The man blew on his hands for a couple more minutes then looked up to the sky.

The stars scattered around the bright moon, though the man can't see it clearly.

His vision had probably worsened.

He kept looking up to the sky until he felt his head spinning.

"Aargh."

He held his head as a massive pain came, along with the strong wind.

"Aargh!"

His head continued to spin and ache at the same time until he can't take it anymore.

The man fell down to the snow. He felt the coldness killing him from the back.

No, no, he thought, it won't end like this, no, no...

He did his best to keep his eyes open.

As he struggled to do this, a question came to his head.

What do you really want? Why are you risking all of this?

The man gave up and let his eyelids drop.

"I... I want a life... I need a life..."

He lay down still and felt numb. The gust of wind was the only thing he was able to hear.

He listened and listened.

It must be the end, he thought.

People say your life flashes before you when death approaches, but his didn't. He stayed still and just listened.

Slowly, the sound of the wind ceased.

His back wasn't aching with the cold. He felt his body heat up. Instead of the plain and freezing snow, the soft, warm feeling of grass was felt.

He opened his eyes and saw a bright blue sky with white puffy clouds flying around.

A ray of morning sunlight touched his skin. "Wha-what is this..."

But as he slowly sat up and looked around, the question changed.

"Wh- where am I?"
