He picks up the pendant and holds it in his hand.

"You didn't forget me?"

"No, but it seems you did."

"I spent years looking for you."

"I don't know why you bothered. You moved on before I could even leave."

"You keep speaking in code. What do all these things mean?"

"I know you're not an idiot. If you treasure our time together as much as you say you did, you'll remember exactly what happened."
