Bust

We both turn our attention back to the game and study the cards that have been dealt. Though Alexi knows he is in a good position, he still looks upon the cards studiously. He was dealt the two of diamonds and the nine of spades making an eleven. I have the three of spades and the five of diamonds totalling to eight. The dealer's card that is facing up is the nine of clubs. I have to assume the card that is facing down is a ten of some kind making their hand a nineteen. 

Alexi places a stack of chips next to his previous bet to let the dealer know he wants to double. Placing down the next card, he gets a jack of clubs making a blackjack. Of course he would with the luck he's having. Seems like I'm everyone's lucky charm but my own tonight. I should've sat to his right but it's too late for that. Alexi and the dealer look to me to see what my next move is going to be.
