3 Ghost's daughter

After an hour and a half sleep Prinah's awake thinking with her father. Though her father was not around on that abandoned house for ten years long she felt in her heart that he is there. She thinks about the arrangement of things inside, the keys, the cabinets, the rooms, the garden, the pond, the candle and lighter and above all 'Cally' the bird.

She's asking herself, "Why does he need to leave this house? He's safe here, this land provides his needs and the surrounding is friendly,"

All she had to do that moment is to asks. Of course Prinah's mission is to find her father but the absence of her father is telling her more about him. For Prinah that is her call to search for his unknown and untraceable father back in Australia. Prinah was three years old when her mother died and she's in the good care of her Australian grandparents.

As she's siting down on her bed facing the wall saying, "I don't blame you for what had happened." tears flows down in her cheeks.

"I know you didn't know when mom bare me." she then points the wall

"I just came here because my friends and colleagues keep saying I am a ghost's daughter." Prinah reasoned out, "I want to proved to them that I am your daughter and you're not a ghost."

She weeps and shed tears, but she suddenly stops when hearing the honk of the bird Rufous Hornbill or the 'Kalaw' and she remembers 'Cally". She looks at her phone and saw it's four in the afternoon. Hours later it will be dark so she get out from the house thinking what to eat for her dinner. Walking straight at the garden Prinah remember the filed dead trees and fallen branches where she glanced some mushrooms. Careful and making sure the mushroom is not poisonous she smells it, and check either white gills and ring around the stem is present then she identifies it a 'hen in the wood' mushrooms. Using the banana leaves she roll it and form it like a cone and then put the mushrooms in there. Prinah then washed one of his father's pot and cooked the mushroom soup in the dirty kitchen. She likes to cook it outside the house because she loves watching the fire burning the bottom of the pot. She gets some branch from the fire playfully raising it up in the air like a rocket roaming around the house feeling like she's still in her childhood. For her, she just enjoys the moment while the water is boiling with the mushrooms in it. She walks a distance from the house facing up the sky pointing her eyes like an arrow ready to shoot at the bright moon.

"Why are you so far away?" she's asking her father in her mind, "Why I can't reach you and touch you?" then teardrops in her face.

As she closed her eyes take a deep breath while hearing the sounds of the creature and the coldness of the night gently touch her skin, she felt the calmness like a still small voice whispering in her ears. Then the cool wind blows her pixie hair cut and the surrounding trees waving its branches creating the rustling sounds of the leaves accompanied by the hissing of the streams. Can't endure the heaviness of her heart, she slowly looks down her face where her eyes dropping tears loosing her strength causing her to bend her knee crying in a deep long sound. The wind continuously blowing as it accompanies her sorrow. She never expects to come up in that sorrowful feeling it just suddenly leads her to give all her pain. While her face is washed with her tears, tiny fragrant flowers carried by the wind glued in her face and messy hair. It's like a gentle touch of a hand acting to wipe away her tears. At that very moment she felt in her heart that her father was in there. Like both hands tapping her shoulder as she felt the heaviness and whisper in her ear saying somebody is on her side. As she slowly opens her eyes the flickering lights of the fireflies steals her attention to turn her side. It makes her smile as she was looking at herself what's happening. As she was comforted by the rhythmic lights of the fireflies suddenly she remembers the mushrooms. Feeling worried she quickly turns her back in the dirty kitchen, but the moment was favorably intended for her. When she reach in the kitchen expecting the soup would dry up, the fire just stops on its own as it consumes the woods giving the right time for the mushrooms to cook. Prinah just smiled and shake her head while looking at the mushroom soup preserved by the heat.

Then she lifts her chin up saying, "Thank you mom for preparing my food, " she was just thankful as it goes like that.

"I feel you father," Prinah uttered in her mind.

She then washed her face and fix her hair. In a little distance from the house, she file some dried trunks and branches of trees and set it on fire like a campfire. Holding the full bowl of mushroom soup, she enjoys sipping it while lying down on the ground watching the burning fire.

"Hmm, delicious," Prinah's response while the smoke of the soup rises to her face causing her face to sweat.

Prinah consumed a three full bowl of mushroom soup after her sentimental moment. After eating, she waited until the fire consumed the whole woods. It's now ten in the evening and Prinah needs to prepare herself to sleep. Inside the room, she sweeps the floor and removed the dust in a few moments. Ready to lay in her bed, she wears a jacket, jeans and sock in her feet since it is cold. She covered herself with the blanket and in her mind recalling her unforgettable moments.
