Meeting The Fiend Of Gacha

Entry 126:

Linus Ozias POV:

As I return to the space between Dimensions, I find the random omnipotent being sitting with two other people, one looking like Kana from the Dragon Maid anime but with blue hair and green eyes. The other is a woman, but her appearance shifts between various forms.

As ROB notices me, he says, "Well, it seems introductions are in order. Gaia, Alaya, meet Linus Ozias or Anakim, my ROB, in training." Gaia then looks at me and smiles, saying, "Another version of me blesses you, so that makes you a good person." 

The statement makes me want to reject that, but I am too surprised to say anything as Alaya walks over to me, looks me over, and says, "Acceptable protege you have here @#@$#@." I assume she just said ROB's real name, as it only sounded like garbled TV static.

The Rob then looks to me and says, "Linus, I have been asked by these two lovely ladies to help them solve a problem in their timeline as it seems like they are from a world where the Grand Order failed and both were destroyed."

I then widen my eyes as these two are from the Nasuverse, and I look to ROB as he smiles at me and says, "Linus, this mission, should you choose to accept it, you would  help the Grand Order to succeed?"

I almost say no as the Nasuverse is amess both literally and conceptually wise, and I have not played the games nor read any of the material. All I know of the Fate verse is from parts of fanfiction.

I don't like going underprepared, but as if sensing my doubt, ROB says in a severe tone, "Linus, this event will lead to the deaths of trillions and the eventual collapse of a part of the Fate multiverse do not let fear and lack of info cloud your judgment."

I then breathe and say, "I accept the mission, but will I be limited as the magic system is rather strict and the reality rather rigid?" ROB nods as he says, "You will, but not by much, as you will be sent in a living servant with an established backstory as a magus and a master candidate."

Alaya then looks at me and says, "Don't worry, as you will retain a decent amount of your power, slightly less than half, and even then, you should regain it soon enough, and Gaia and I promise not to meddle in any out-of-context powers."

ROB then slides the essence toward me, and it looks like a swirling golden throne with various pathways spreading from it. As I take it, I mentally send a message to my hive mind to inform the others of what is going to happen.

As I drink the essence, I feel an entire dimension added to my being, like a hallway that never ends with doors labeled with different symbols, but they are locked as I feel like I must meet others to unlock them. Overall, my vessel becomes more malleable and in tune with my Magecraft.

ROB smiles as he opens a portal and yells, "Have fun with the Gudako herself!"

I widen my eyes as I yell back, "Wait, please send me back ahhhhh!"

My body is then changed to my human disguise as a new history floods my mind as my house of Ozias is known for our expertise in various forms of mystic code creation and alchemy. While I am the last of my house, I do own a sizeable estate.

I "remember" being visited by some members of CHALDEA to join the project, and I "accepted." Now, I find myself en route to CHALDEA, and then I take the wheel as I enter the facility.

As I stop and look toward the door to the large facility, I consider my options but only for a moment as I am then herded in with the other applicants, and I thank ROB that my magic control remains along with my reactor.

As I enter the facility, I press a thumb to the DNA scanner over the P. A system I hear "Welcome all candidates to the Security Organization for the Preservation of Humanity, CHALDEA. Fingerprint and DNA authentication cleared, magical circuits assessment complete. The username matched LINUS OZIAS. You are recognized as a member of the primates. Nice to meet you. Please head to the meeting area. We hope you enjoy your stay here."

Behind me, though, I hear a familiar voice, and I see "her." The fiend of gacha herself, Ritsuka Fujimura, or "Gudako," tries to enter the facility but is stopped as the admission process requires more time.

I then asked her, "Do you need help?" She then turns to me and says excitedly, "Oh, finally, a fellow soul wandering these empty halls, can you assist me?" Is she a Chunni? Or is this just an act?

It seems like the latter as she then sighs and says, "Can you help me?" I smile and nod as I say, "It just requires your DNA input, so place your finger here," I then show her the console, and she does so, but then the P. A system returns and says, "I am sorry, but an additional 180 seconds is required. Please enjoy a simulated battle sequence for the next 180 seconds." 

Before I could move, I was also sent into the simulation as my mind was transported to another space along with Ritsuka. She then yelped in surprise as we looked around to see a gathering of chess pieces, each one presenting a different servant class.

(PA system) [Archer, Rider, Lancer, Caster, Assassin, Berserker, Ruler, Saber-Activated]

[Please pick two classes to send against the other. One per master.]

Ritsuka looks starry-eyed at the prospect as I look at her and ask, "So, which one do you want to choose?" She hesitantly says, "I do not know which one to pick." I smile and say, "I would recommend saber as it is usually the most balanced."

Ritsuka then picks Saber, which then turns into a simulated version of a knight, and I picked Archer, which turned into a bowman similar to a cliche fantasy archer.

The two then face one another, with my Archer using his range to his advantage, dodging and weaving to gain distance, and hitting the Saber with his arrows as the Saber uses his endurance and skill with a blade to dodge and tank the arrows.

After a couple of minutes, my Archer lands an arrow at the Saber's head, and the battle ends with Ritsuka looking distraught as she yells, "NOOOO! Sir Merrius, you were gone too soon." I sigh as her energy will be something to get used to.

I smile and help her to her feet as she says, "That was fun! But why do I feel tired." We were then taken from the space, and while I was disoriented for a couple of seconds, Ritsuka almost threw up as I patted her back.

As we walk towards the meeting hall, Ritsuka begins to fall over unconscious as I catch her and take her to a nearby couch to rest up. After a couple of minutes, I see a certain pink-haired kouhai and white squirrel animal as she asks, "Is she alright? It is almost time for the director's speech."

I simply say, "Well, she is not waking up, so I fear she may miss it, but where are my manners? I am Linus Ozias, master candidate number 49. What is your name?" The girl looks almost surprised as she says, "That's a hard question to answer as I may not be important enough for you to know my name."

I scoff slightly and say, "Nonsense, every name is important as a name helps us define ourselves in this reality quite. Literally, I may add, so by virtue of fact, your name is important."

The girl then says with a slight smile, "No, I do have a name, a proper name. But I have never really had the chance to use it." I smile and say, "Well, there is a first time for everything, so where better to begin than a future co-worker."

She then looks more confident and adds, "I am afraid I will not make a good first impression, but my name is Mash Kyrielight." I smile and shake her hand as the white creature looks at me and runs up my leg and onto my shoulder.

"Fou! Don't do that, as Ozias Senpai may not like it," Mash says while trying to remove Fou from me, but he keeps dodging. Soon, I grab him and say, "It's nice to meet you too, my furry friend, but I'm afraid you'll have to return to Mash as I have to attend to my friend here."

The creature then salutes and returns to Mash's shoulder as she sighs and says, "Sorry, Ozias Senpai, but he usually doesn't do that with others." I wave my hand and say, 'It's all right. I've always been good with animals, and they just seem to like me, and I feel honored that I have made another friend so quickly."

I then take a small berry I created on one of my farms out of my pocket and hand it to Fou. He sniffs it and then eats it vigorously as it yells. "Fou-Fou Kyuu" Well, someone is happy. But soon enough, Ritsuka is roused from her sleep as I say, "Welcome back to the waking world."

Ritsuka then eyes me and says tiredly, "That's a reference, and I know it, but who is this? Are you already cheating on this fair maiden Ozias-Kun?" 

Even tired, she is full of energy as Mash says, "No, he is not, as he just became the second caretaker of Fou, but other than that, I just introduced myself as Mash Kyrielight."

I then sigh as Fou nods along like it is a foregone conclusion as Ritsuka begins to shakily stand up, still reeling from the simulation. But soon enough, a man wearing a green suit and top hat approaches.

The second I see him, my instincts flare to eliminate him immediately, but I don't know why as he then begins to speak, which irritates me even more.

"Who are you?" I think to myself that he is not human.

What have I just jumped into here?

(Okay, my friends, before you all are up in arms on the apparent Nerf of my main character, be aware that he has not only the essence of the broken limiter, the Throne of Heroes along with the archmage, reality marble, and generic isekai protagonist, his powers will slowly be siphoning back to him over time, and he's essentially going in blind with but a few key things. Even now, he's probably stronger than most of the beings in the first couple of singularities, and I hope you all are forgiving if I mess up anything about the Fate Lore.)
