Don't Tempt Murphy Ever!

Entry 23:

Linus Ozias POV:

I stare at the remains of the Dragon Slayers H.Q., and I ponder if this is necessary, but those thoughts come later. For now, I have to replace all the dragonslayers with androids.

This is because without them, Cauldron would definitely realize something was up, and while Saint was monologuing, I analyzed his brain as well as sent the data to Dread to recreate them.

And if your guys are thinking it's pointless, I have access to memory tech from Secret Invasion but improved it so that it only requires a single scan.

So now, by the end of the day, they will all be replaced, loyal to me, of course, and with access to all of Saint's files and memories, it will be as if I never ended them like the heretics they were.

"Well, what's done is done, so I can at least now cross them off the list.

The List:

End Cauldron

End The ABB

End The Empire 88

Fix PRT

Kill Scion

Kill All Entities

Kill All 20 End Bringers

Kill Nilibog

Kill Faerie Queen

End Gesellschaft

End The Slaughterhouse 9 (Kill William Manton)

It's a long list that keeps getting longer, but I will fix everything step by step.

I have to because this is not a story anymore. This is a living and breathing world, and I will be damned if I let some space whales ruin everything for a cycle that will never end.

I am already working on plans for anti-endbringer weapons, and the orbital platforms are being made as we speak. Still, I need more tech trees as I need more tech that deals with insta-deleting eldritch entities across multiple realities.

The only good news is that my cures for the various drug addictions are spreading, and so is my influence. Soon, all will see the world as I do, one that needs fixing.

But speaking of drugs, a certain tinker has already joined the merchants, specifically Sherrell Bailey or Squealer.

While her specialization relates to vehicles, it would be good for me to dispose of her as while she has already joined their gang of druggies and thieves, she has yet to establish herself.

So, I will most likely get rid of her or bring her to my side, but she will be taken care of or given an offer she can't refuse.

I have some thoughts for later add it to the list author.

(Author: Already on it, Linus. Wait, what stop! I don't have enough flex tape to fix this wall!)

(Insert Universal Time stop/Reset)

"Hmm, did something happen? Whatever, Connor, Marcus, let's head back to base," I say to the two androids as they nod while we teleport out of there.

(You gotta love Doormaker portals.)

As we return to the lab, I remind myself that I will get a new tech tree within three days. Because while the subnautica tech has helped with company product management and production, it could have done better regarding actual firepower.

We are excluding the stasis rifles and various thermoknives.

I even got a contract with the power companies to make their power plants more efficient and effective while making emissions and waste nonexistent.

Okay, Chloe got the deal, but by proxy of her being my creation, I got it. You can't change my mind.

(Insert Tanjiro Disgusted Face/ #FreeChloe)

To be honest, I am proud of what Ozcorp has come to, as we already have offices across the U.S. and several successful deals relating to production, arms, power, and terraforming.

In fact, even Japanese representatives have come to Ozcorp asking us to fix the damage done by the end-bringers in Japan.

My company agreed, of course, to exclusive rights to any salvage found in the area surrounding the Japanese Islands.

I also set up a part of the contract stating that any anime merchandise that makes a profit will be given to my company at a percentage.

P.S.: I also told them to create Fate: Stay/Night and Fate: Heaven's Feel Visual Novels and Anime because Taylor keeps calling me to ask for other Fate-related releases.

So that's another thing to add to the list, but hey, good P.R. and Taylor is kept happy, so yay.

Speaking of which, I'm going to have to make sure that her friend Emma isn't taken captive by any gangs because, from what I know, Taylor's future bully, Shadow Stalker, aka Sophia Hess, has already triggered based on her brain scans.

"Gonna need to deal with that psycho eventually," I say as I tinker in the lab.

(I apologize if my main character stays in his lab too long. It's mostly because Linus is walking on eggshells, trying to avoid any precognition while he and his technology are protected. Others are not. )

For context, Shadow Stalker has a fundamental belief that she is a predator amongst prey. And anyone lower than her deserves the worst treatment.

It was never truly discovered why she's like that, other than maybe relating to some family issues, specifically her father.

Maybe it's a coping mechanism, or it's just a simple philosophy created out of spite. But any threat to Taylor is one I take very seriously.

Because while I don't interact with the Herbert family too much, I still talk to them over the phone. Danny keeps complaining about how my purifiers have cost him mountains of paperwork.

Annette wants to write a book describing my story from a gang violence victim to one of the most innovative men in America.

As the fan girl, Taylor wants me to introduce myself to her friend Emma Barnes and talk about FGO spoilers, which I refuse to give.

But I may have hinted at future events, banners, and specific expansions to the Fate lore.

Regardless, I am confident in my future plans. But who knows? It's Worm after, but I am feeling just fine for now.

"I really do need to up my magic practice because while I can only create, I can still use it to emulate other forms of magic." I think to myself as I head to the testing room.

I am thinking of trying to emulate the magic from Wise Man's Grandson, which is based on scientific knowledge and visualization.

Because in that show, Shin Walford can create nukes using his magic and a basic understanding of physics and chemistry.

"Explosion magic test #1 is a go," I say while trying to create an elemental explosion.

To cast a spell, you need a mental image of what you want to happen and how that is supposed to occur—the more precise the mental image, the stronger the spell.

For example, when most people cast a fireball, they imagine the fire and the explosion. I need to think about the atoms involved–what is required to make the fire burn hotter and the explosion more powerful. I need to make the image of the fireball and the surrounding area to create the necessary air composition to unleash the spell's potential.

My first attempts fail, but after around 30 tries, I create a basic explosion spell, nowhere near the level of anything significant, but it is a start.

But before I even noticed, the rest of the day passed, and I only stopped because Kara and Chloe had to pull me out of the room.

And after a bit of a scolding for how tunnel-visioned I was, I ate the meal prepared by Kara while Chloe gave me her daily report on the business side.

"Good news, sir, is that we are leading across multiple markets, but we are already seeing attempts at copying our products, but it has barely damaged our bottom line as our prices aren't high enough for people to consider other options."

I then ponder this, as while I did expect people to attempt to copy my stuff, I underestimated the speed by which they do so, but with Dread and Cyber, my products are constantly improving.

Chloe continues, "On the medicinal front, our hospital has seen rapid success as the investors are usually sending themselves to our hospitals rather than Medhall in addition to our cures being a huge success towards the city's overall health ratio in addition to the good P.R. we are raking in."

I smile as Chloe seems happy, slightly surprised as I did not program her to enjoy certain things or find things annoying.

She is evolving before my eyes, and it is beautiful. I am going to miss these guys if I can't take them with me.

But enough of the depressing thoughts because as Chloe finishes her report, I hear a knock at the door.

I answer it, and my heart stops as Alexandria and Contessa are standing in front of me, and all I can think at this moment is one thing.

Godammit Murphy, You Troll!
