22 A Slippery Slope

Entry 19:

Linus Ozias POV:

To be honest, I haven't felt more exhausted since I ran that marathon in my previous life. It was one of those intrusive activities that I just wanted to do a bucket list activity.

But during it, I realized why regular people don't run marathons.

While it makes you feel alive as you're running it and the thrill of finishing it, you are left literally dead for a couple of days if you're going into it without training.

That's how I feel right now because I have thoroughly exhausted my magic pool over the past two days to update all of my systems and now it looks like the inside of Zod's ship from the Man of The Steel movie.

It makes me sad that Henry Cavill never got another chance of Superman, but enough distractions have to keep updating.

Cyber the Porygon has been a godsend, though, as he's helped get a lot of the workload from Dread, but they both seem to be doing some activity that keeps making them laugh. I don't know what they're doing, and they refuse to tell me.

All they say to me is that they're just introducing another to the wonders of memes.

Although that action does make me a bit scared of who they're introducing them to, it makes them happy, so I let them.

Even though they are my creations, I have to let them relax. Because while I don't have a work-life balance, it doesn't mean they should have to suffer for that, too.

And they are still doing their work because they finally located the dragon slayers. And they're hiding in plain sight.

However, if hiding in plain sight meant working through multiple shell companies in Canada and having multiple bases across North America, it counts as hiding in plain sight.

I proceeded to send a nano drone swarm to their location. And due to their tiny size and invisibility to any form of scanning, they've already snuck into all of the Dragon Slayer's heads.

Now Dread is attempting to eliminate the Ascalon Protocol. from all of their computers and Saint's briefcase. Because once that's gone, I can begin to unleash Dragon'sDragon's full potential.

Because that dang protocol, with a push of a button, could kill DragonDragon instantly. And that will cause a whole mess of problems.

But it's only a matter of time as they're wholly unaware of my presence in. their base, as well as in all of their suits that they stole from DragonDragon, which proves their hypocrisy as they are unwilling to work with AI, but they're fully willing to use her technology.

" Is this how it feels to be Aizen from bleach? Because this is satisfying. I think because if I said that out loud, my androids would think I'm crazy.

The only problem is that eliminating that protocol will take time because it's based on Tinker Tech, which Andrew Richter built.

The man was an idiot for leashing his most incredible creation. Because while I do agree with setting up protocols, it's stupid to chain up your creation potential.

Now, I can issue a command at any moment, and all of those Dragon Slayers will find their heads having less weight.

It's even better because they have a database for all their members.

It's the only thing I will thank Saint for his meticulous planning and paranoia.

Why am I so fixated on this? You might ask. It's because Dragon can replicate and create her tinker tech, which will pay dividends in the future, even if she won't play a significant role in dealing with the end bringers. She'll have to help with the fallout.

That and she's one of the few reasonable beings in this universe. And it's not because she's a robotic AI waifu. You can prove nothing.

On the business front, everything is going well as well. My androids can hold down the fort at the main office, and I have to thank Chloe for being the godsend that she is.

In addition, I had Dread create a program that helps me and Chloe deal with paperwork.

In terms of the hospital that's being set up, it's slow going. Because I want to use my microbots to help with construction, it wouldn't help the city as people need jobs. Which I will be giving them by setting up a construction company.

Recruitment is going well, as many people need a job, but the vetting process is taking a while as most are either unskilled or gang members seeking to coast on simply.

But each person can be trained. And after the hospital is set up, I won't have to worry about all the druggies trying to join my company.

And let's not even mention that I'm injecting nanobots into them. That will subtly manipulate their behaviors to be less annoying.

I find it funny that I am proving those Republican conspiracy theorists right about the whole thing being added to injections. But in this case, they're not living in a death world, so they have no say.

I'm going the whole villain route here, but this is the plan, and I need to follow it. And besides, the whole vaccination thing will last this generation and maybe for the next one, and then it will not be necessary.

That is, the Nano Bots will basically continue scanning the shards so that, eventually, I can use their connection to the entities to open a portal to their actual bodies.

Zion and Simurgh (Ziz) will be my greatest threats. Because one basically has all the powers, and the other is incredibly intelligent with multiple thinker powers.

" One step at a time, Linus, one step at a time. First, let's focus on dealing with the individual pair of humans and gangs. I work my way up. I'll get there. I have to." I say to myself, and I have been saying that for the past weeks.

The protectorate has been pretty quiet these past few days, although they have seemingly become more efficient in capturing regular criminals using my weapons.

I plan on giving them more advanced designs but at a later date. And in terms of Cauldron, they've been trying to figure out why Eidolon's powers are weakening.

Which is useless, so Cauldron stuff. And in terms of case 53's, they have seemingly slowed their production.

Not that they will stop anytime soon, but it's nice to see that they're kidnapping fewer people. Keep following that path to victory that's given by the same entities you want to kill.

The only one I worry about is Alexandria, as she's becoming more suspicious by the day.

But Chloe is luckily able to keep her off my back, at least for a while.

Soon enough, though, I will have to go big. But my preparations are almost complete. And the nanobots I have in every one of them will make them more suggestible to me. And since there aren't any master or stranger powers being used. Their protocols towards those powers will be useless.

And to be honest, they might not even notice that they're being manipulated as their changes will be slow, making them more suggestible to me, but also more efficient.

Soon enough, Cauldron will be eating out of my hand, and they will be happy to do so. And when this ends, they will get the punishments they deserve for all the crimes they committed. It may seem hypocritical, but they're all idiots, as well as genocidal idiots at that.

I've even found Doormaker and placed one of my nanobots in his head, and now I have access to his portals. They'll still work for culture, of course. But soon enough, soon enough.

I only need another five days to get my next tech tree. I hope to get something like Subnautica to increase my material efficiency.

Or something like Ben 10 will allow me access to the Omnitrix. Or, more specifically, Galvan tech.

Worst comes to worst. I throw in anilargh at the entities, which, for reference, are alien weapons that allow for the destruction/creation of universes.

I get up from tinkering. I've nearly finished the personal computer from Pokemon, which will allow me access to pocket spaces to store my stuff, and I am hoping to miniaturize it into my own hammerspace.

My magic pool has grown a decent amount, as I'm now low-high class, which means that my creation limit has increased by double its original amount. So now I can create 100 pounds worth of material if it's basic enough. Anything more advanced will be cut in half.

Although the climb to ultimate class will be difficult, for reference, multiple high classes could be taken out by one punch from an ultimate class.

The magic classes are exponential rather than linear. But it's a work in progress. Which basically describes my life at this point.

I then motioned to Marcus to prepare some dinner, as Kara had been busy with the housekeeping. He nods and returns upstairs while Connor comes down to the lab.

"Sir, I have a status report on the location of the slaughterhouse 9. More specifically, their van," Connor reports, which brings a smile to my face.

"Good work, Connor. Send the location to Dread so that I may triangulate their location and send some nanobots onto their van to keep track of them." Because while they are a definite threat, we're not ready to take them on.

Dealing with them will be simple or incredibly difficult, depending on my tech trees. And while I do have access to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in addition to DC Comics, there is more advanced tech that still eludes me.

And if I were hoping to catch them in master balls, that would be pointless, as the extradimensional entities in their shards keep them from being captured in Pokeballs.

Speaking of which, Cyber is nearly ready to evolve, so I should give him the upgrade disc soon. But before that, I turn to Connor and say.

" Keep an eye on those psychopaths, Connor, until I'm ready to deal with them. But remember, maintain an incredible distance because Siberian is a threat we must deal with before considering going after the slaughterhouse 9."

He then nods and returns to his duties while I. proceed to send a nano swarm to their location, which will view them from the sky and analyze their powers specifically; Siberian would be perfect as it would help me deal with the end bringers.

To be more specific, Siberian's ability as a projection of Dr. Edward Manton is to ignore select laws of physics, which will be extremely vital in dealing with extradimensional entities.

It's all coming together. Soon enough, I will save the world.
