Lara sighed wearily. The offer is very tempting. Finishing her studies alone while someone capable takes care of Luke. It's like a silver platter being handed over to her. But..

"I'm not capable, sir." She declined.

How could she act as Mrs. Liu? She doesn't even know her, aside from the photo she had seen. She don't know how she acts, her family and friends. Surely a sophisticated woman will have a delicate upbringing.

How about her? Sure her parents had raised her well. But compare to Crystal Liu? She mentally shook her head. She might not even compare to her toe.

"That's for me to decide. I only require your face." He said flatly, his mood darkening. Why this woman is hard to deal with? Not used to not having his way, his aura changed similar to when dealing with his business. Cold and domineering.

"What exactly shall I do?" She asked softly almost a whisper. As if talking to herself. She feared that the malevolent side of him from the first night will surface.

Can he stop giving her dark looks?! She's already feeling chilly here okay!

"You just have to accompany me as my wife on certain occasions." He didn't explain further. Initially he wanted to lure Crystal out. But thinking he will serve her annulment papers anyway, his plans had taken a turn.

"But thay exactly is my dilemna. I'm not sophistically raised. Aren't you worried I'll embarass you?"

"Didn't you go around Galaxy Entertainment for quite a time? Don't you know how to act at all?" He probed.

He has a point there. She has been around spoiled divas and temperamental ladies that it won't be hard for her to copy them.

"Anyway I'll be around you and will make sure you won't trip."

'"Mr. Liu, have you thought this through?"

"Stop calling me that or you won't be convincing."

Lara swallowed a lump in her throat. How many days do they know each other again? Boss, just how can you ask me to call you by your first name...

The man came closer to her and Lara felt her space getting smaller. As if this guy's presence suck the air. He stared into her eyes, hypnotizing her. Then his mood changed suddenly, his eyes shined charmingly, and his lips inches away from hers!

Lara stopped breathing!

Her rationality flew away with the wind. She almost moaned in protest. This guy has doctorate degree in The Art of War.

"Say yes." He whispered in her ear. Lara closed her eyes tight.

Alex mentally noted himself to call his lawyer when they go back to the city the next day. He had to prepare for annulment. Only after it is done can he pursue Lara. He doesn't want to wrong her.

In the meantime, he can make her fall in love with him.

Never in his lifetime that Alex had to pursue a girl. No one around him had caught his attention and ignited his desire as her. If Crystal didn't happen, he won't have trouble. But then again he might not meet Lara.

"Lara." He called her softly, his face still close to hers.

She's spacing out. What is she thinking?

"One more Mr. Liu and I'm going to kiss you." He warned.

Lara gulped.

"Can I say no?" She really is tempted. But what will happen after? Luke by then will really have believed that he is his daddy. How will she explain it to her son?

"What are you worrying about?" Lara didn't fail to notice the light danger in his tone, and decided to be honest.
