11 Chapter 11: Making A Name

The next day, Lazard contacted the twins. "Alexandra, Ramiel. We need you to scout the mountainous areas in Wutai. We lost many soldiers because of their guerilla tactics. Please check out places of interest and report back to us."

Lazard wanted to have more information about Wutai. "Alright, so you want us to check the key places huh? Want me to map it out for you?" Ramiel took out a geographical map of Wutai and began to mark places where it would be dangerous for Shinra.

"Yes please, Shinra might have the manpower. But it will be better if there are less casualties and damage. You're smart, you already know how it goes." Lazard frowned and Ramiel snorted.

"Yeah, old man Shinra gives the orders and his mooks die. You know what, I want to talk to you later." Ramiel ended the call. Thinking that Lazard will probably be an ally of theirs for the future.

"So? We gonna team up? Or would you like to split and do this quicker?" Alex was still in her pajamas, wanting to do something.

"Hmmm, good question. I think we should split, the quicker we return to Nibelheim. The better, I need to finish project Minerva with Gast. And major experiments are on hold while I'm here." Ramiel furrowed his brows and thought that getting recognition from Shinra through the war had a heavy trade off.

"Yeah, I'm kinda starting to miss those three too. Especially Aerith, she's such a sweet girl. Unlike that kid, Cloud. He's at his dream phase." Alex rolled her eyes and Ramiel ruffled her hair.

"What's wrong with that? Besides you should be in that phase too. You're 10." Ramiel laughed and Alex sighed. "I don't know, it's just annoying. Hah, I guess this is what happens when you grow up too quickly. I blame you, by the way."

Ramiel went quiet and Alexandra frowned heavily when she noticed what she just said. "Nii-sama... I..."

"It's fine, I'll check the southeast. You go to the west." Ramiel patted her head with a slight smile and Alexandra almost shattered her teeth while gritting it.

He took out her sword and gave it to her. Walking away with a simple and succinct goodbye. "See you later, I'll catch us some dinner."

She got really angry with herself and started trembling. Her eyes turning into slits as they glowed a bright cerulean blue.

In the southeastern part of Wutai, Ramiel was spear fishing with his polearm and have already caught a lot. Overthinking about the words of his sister.

"Does she hate me now? I mean, she's 10. She probably didn't mean it." He sighed and thought that was kind of a Freudian slip. Meaning it floating around in her mind.

"Hah, this is hard. I don't know how to handle young girls like this. Is she in her rebellious phase?" Ramiel caught another fish for mindlessly and decided to do his job.

"Maybe I should just begin in mapping out places where we can camp safely." He spawned wings and flew to the skies.

He created a physical barrier in front and took out his map of Wutai, marking notable places where the soldiers of the nation could hide and launch ambushes.

"Geez, so that's why Shinra can't really just go in and take this place for their own. It's basically a death trap when you go in here with an army. This is like Nam all over again." Ramiel looked around and everywhere he looked, it was forests and cliffs.

And the people of Wutai must know all the juicy spots where they could hide in like assassins and wail on them.

"A lot of lives is in my hands... How should I do this, should I inform Shinra about strategic points. Or tell Wutai that once they get mapped out, the real war starts." He weighed his options. Either prolong the war by giving out inaccuracies. Or make things way quicker.

While he was contemplating for a decision, he saw a large part of the forest get cut down. Even when he was at the east, Ramiel could feel the violent energy from Alexandra.

"Shit, what is she doing?" He flapped his wings and bullet dived to the place where she probably was immediately. Because Alexandra was most likely going on a rampage.

Alex went outside of their tent and forgo her shades. She looked at the position of the sun and quickly stared at the west.

She crouched on the ground and filled her legs with immense amounts of Mako. The energy burning up intensely as remnants of it leaked out of her body.

She leapt and caused a miniature earthquake on the camp. Making the soldiers panic, thinking that there was an ambush. But when they got there, Wutai wasn't really present and all they saw was destruction.

Alex flew at the skies like a bullet and scanned the western forests and mountains like an eagle. Her slitted pupils constricted as she found a platoon of soldiers from Wutai that were setting up some traps.

Landmines, claymores, pitfalls. Wutai was beginning to fortify their lands the best that they could. Because of the threat of the so called SOLDIER 1st class.

Alexandra landed at the middle of the explosives and set them off without warning. Causing a devastating explosion that almost wiped out the Wutai troops.

"It's her! One of the SOLDIER 1st class are here!" A mook shouted out and his comrades immediately opened fire upon seeing a person who was holding a long ass odachi with one hand.

The dust settled and flames started burning in the surroundings as her hair swayed from the air. Her glowing eyes made her look like an inhuman being.

She deflected all the bullets from their guns and released a slash at the survivors. A cold look on her face as she stared at one of the last ones who remained.

A nameless soldier that was trembling on the ground. "This is all your fault... It's because of this stupid nation. My brother and I would've just quietly lived at Nibelheim if it weren't for you." Alex squinted her eyes.

"W-what do you mean?" His voice sounded cramped and it cracked. Shivering in fear, while another one of his comrades that was wielding a spear gave a brave roar, charging at her.

But his momentum suddenly stopped as Alex stabbed him on the middle of his chest. Coughing up blood, his comrade staring at his fate in horror.

She lifted him up with one hand and a black wing appeared from her back. "Tell Godo Kisaragi that I will burn this island to the ground. I have sinned against my nii-sama due to him. And this nation will suffice as payment." Alex released a torrent of flames from her hand, incinerating the man that was on her sword.

She then flew to the skies and bubbles of elements appeared beside her. Ice, earth, water, lightning, fire. Alex raised her hands and looked down at the forest that was in front of her.

"This farce needs to end now." She put down her hands and all the spells she casted fell from the sky.

Her destructive fire spells landed first and with her immense control. They were all spaced out perfectly, carpet bombing the forests and hills for miles.

Lightning followed and defeaning thunderclaps resounded like a god's wrath. She hovered in the skies and began razing everything to the ground.

Glaciers spawned and turned the beautiful forests into a land of ice, fires raged and burned everything, water flooded the lands and wildlife, rocks fell from the sky like rain, and hurricane like winds spread flames everywhere.

"This whole world is made for us! It's ours! And I will begin with this accursed island." She looked at the village of Wutai and was getting really unstable.

She was about to use one of her trump cards. A spell that she practiced but never really released even once. Because of Ramiel giving themselves tons of Mako, their reserves got high enough that she could cast it.

Alexandra flew high up into the sky above Wutai and used her wing to stabilize herself. Mana came to her and a bright blue ball of flame appeared in front of her.

A shockwave of pure Mako lit up in the skies and she finished converging it all into a single ball of pure destruction. A Megaflare.

"Stop! Alex!" Ramiel quickly stepped in and began absorbing the Mako from her attack. It still got released, but due to his timely intervention. The spell only has the power of a normal flare.

Ramiel then whacked it into the western part of the island with his polearm. Using the absorbed energy to deflect it. It travelled slowly, but surely.

Like a small nuclear bomb, it erupted and everything got devastated in a 5 kilometer radius. It was heard all over Wutai and it would be a mysterious event that would have myths based on it.

Ramiel hugged her tightly and patted her head. "What in the world are you doing? You're gonna compromise our plan. Are you okay?" Ramiel looked at her and noticed the one black wing on her back. Making him frown heavily.

"Nii-sama... I'm sorry, I. I didn't mean it, what I said earlier. Forgive me." Alex started crying and he could feel that Jenova's cells were having an influence on her.

'Damn... This isn't good, like at all. Jenova's influence broke through a bit due to her heightened state of emotions. I need to contact Gast about this.'

"There, there. Everything's fine, your big brother's here. I'm not leaving you or anything, I'm not mad." He comforted her and Alexandra started to calm down.

Meanwhile, Wutai is in a panic due to the destruction she caused. A soldier that was clearly distraught demanded to be let in fort Tamblin.

"Kisaragi-sama! Let me in! Let me in! I need to tell him what happened!" The soldier was getting restrained by the guards. But Godo went out to check what was the commotion about.

"Let him go. Speak." Godo's face hardened, he saw the smoke rise up in the east and a blast that devastated the west. Something wasn't right, and he had a feeling that the soldier in front of him knew what was wrong.

"Kisaragi-sama! It's them, the SOLDIER 1st class! The girl killed my squad without mercy and told me to send a message..." The soldier panted as he ran all the way to the fort without stopping.

"Give him some water, what did she tell you?" Godo frowned heavily and was starting to contemplate things. If that attack hit the center of their village. Then it would be a complete and utter disaster that they cannot prevent, at all.

The soldier took a few sips of water and shivered when he remembered it. "She said that it's all Wutai's fault that they were here. That she should have been living a peaceful life with her brother in Nibelheim. And Wutai will be payment for the slight against them." He then passed out and Godo looked at the sky.

Everybody saw the pulse of blue Mako in the sky, and it was right above Wutai village. But it suddenly diminished and the probable attack landed on the western part of the island.

"Call the council. We will have a meeting, these super soldiers aren't simple. If that was their doing, then they are inhuman. Monsters in human skin..." Godo started to believe his subordinate earlier.

That they can burn Wutai to the ground. But his words were an understatement. "They can annihilate Wutai in a blink of an eye... They are a threat that are extremely volatile. And the other one has animosity against us." Godo's eyebrows furrowed and prayed that her brother wouldn't let her bury them to the ground.
